Tiger Tattoos and Vintage Babes

This first one is for a tattoo design for a friend from work. (I rarely accept commissions for tattoo designs.)

And a quick sketch of a vintage babe done when I got to work a little early.

"Discontented" Sketch

A quick sketch before bed... I love Saluki dogs.

The girl's toes are my favorite part. I wanted her to match the dogs, impossibly lanky and sinewy. I'm not sold on the face, I wanted to have her looking down originally.

"Gasp" Revisions

Here is the previous sketch with some quick revisions... mostly to the lion's face and tail and to the dimension of the ribbons.

"Gasp" Sketch

Sketch for a potential painting called "Gasp" or "Ripped into Ribbons." I haven't decided...

I think that ultimately it'll be better if the lion's tail breaks the silhouette to hang down with gravity... also the ribbons around her head will hang and maybe some scraps of her hair. It'll make it more of a vertical than a square but maybe I'll like that better.

"Petrified" Sketch

Do you ever get hideously anxious? So frozen in panic that you feel you have turned to wood?

Part of you gives up. Part of you fights on.
