Cats

Al is my Grand Son. He belonged to my daughter until she went away to college. I've taken care of him really since she was in Junior High. He sleeps on my bed. He is a big big cat. Like a mini panther with poof poof hair. Nicest kitty in the world. Has a very quiet mew that he only uses every ten days or so. If I hear him mew, I ask what he wants. He loves to sit on the couch. He sits himself where he can see what his brothers are doing. He has been known to enjoy a good catnip mouse and a box will call his name. Big Al or Grand Sonny, my names for him, is twelve years old now. The senior kitty of this house. I love him & hope he is here for another ten. Al is my third black cat. We rescued him from our local Humane Society when he was about two years old. Right after my black & white cat had past away. Al's actual name is Alexander after the Xander character in the show, Buffy. My daughter named him but I call him Al. Like the song .. if you're old enough you know the one I mean.

Ashton Rosevelt is my nine year old grey boy. He has stripes and spots. Very regal looking he is. I found him at the local hay supply store. Yes, I live out in the woods. No I don't have a horse. They have other things there. I went in looking for something and there he was. He looks a lot like my cat, Teddy Bear. Could have been a twin. I couldn't leave him there so I took him home with me in a box. I was going to name him Savannah Rose but the vet told me she was a he. Thus, the name Ashton ... due to the grey color & Rosevelt due to the Rose part. Ashton loves to talk. He mews away at his catnip mice. He carries them all over the house. He loves to visit and nap. He is a true love.

Jasmine Marie is my silly Snowshoe Siamese. I got her from a local rescue group who was showing their cats at a pet food store. Jasmine reminds me of a cat I had in my youth. She had a terrible story about being on her last day at a shelter when this rescue group took her in. She loves to sing from the balcony. We call it her Juliet moments. She sleeps on my pillow at night. Either that or my Eeyore stuffed animal on my headboard. She spends her days napping on a shelf or hissing at her brothers. She doesn't like to be held but will honor you with sitting on your lap. She is a true Siamese. Silly & Proud & Vocal. I think Jasmine is about eight years old. I love her so much. She makes me laugh almost every day. She listens to me when I'm sad. She loves me when no one else does. I absolutely adore my Silly Snowshoe Siamese.

Riley Andrew is my six year old orange striped multi toed baby boy. He is a total love. I got him from the Humane Society. He was advertised as a girl. When I got there, I was waiting to see him when they told me she was a he. I had already told her that I had come to take her home. So by the time they brought him to me, it was too late. He is a total terror. Chases his sister around the house. He doesn't like to he held or sit on my lap but he loves to be pet and will allow you to do that anytime he or you want. He has multi toes on all four of his paws. He has mittens so to speak. He walks like a model .. I now know why they call it a cat walk.

Meredith Ann is my new kitty. I got her two years ago from a local rescue group. She had been sitting in her cage forever. I would pass her and wish I could take her. One day I went in and did. She is a multi colored tortie. About five years old is the estimate. Found on the streets and again on her last day at her first shelter before this one took her in. She has long hair and a very dainty mew. She isn't in love with Riley yet. She spends a lot of her time near a heater vent. Seems to love having her fur blow. I'm so glad I was able to give her a home. She's an absolute doll.
