I am so excited! We are putting up a fence for the dogs over our long weekend! The back yard and part of the woods will be fenced in! No more taking Sable and Pre out on leashes first thing in the morning. I'm pretty sure the only reason Steve finally agreed to a fence is because I've been making him get up with me to help. Now we'll be able to let them out the back and go back to bed! The dogs can stay out as long as they want! I am sure they will enjoy it. I know I will! Steve is going tonight to get the fence and he will start working on Thursday. I'm hoping he can get it all done this weekend - Although I am trying to figure out who I can call to fix it when - I mean if - he messes it up...
I've been getting sick first thing in the morning. It's worse on school days when I have to get out of bed earlier. Today I felt really blah, but I think it has a lot to do with my cold coming back. :( Rotten kids keep passing it around.

My Furbabies
We have 5 dogs who have been like our children. On a Saturday in September of '04, we got Pre, the beagle. He was 8 weeks old. He is such a laid-back dog and is so very sweet. The following Wednesday, we went to a Humane Society and found Jazzie. I had told Steve that I needed a big dog. We walked by her a couple times before Steve pointed her out. She is a lab/greyhound mix. The volunteers told me that she hadn't warmed up to anyone, so don't expect much. She was on my lap within 5 minutes and I told Steve we had to have her. We put in an application and I went back on Friday night to get her. She has been my baby ever since. Then, in the following May, a student found Sable. At first I said "la, la, la" when asked if we wanted a puppy. But then I saw her and Steve agreed that we could bring her home. She is Miss Independent and does whatever she wants. She was the easiest to housetrain though... All 3 of them came into our lives before we were married. In September 2008, I started begging Steve for another dog. What's one more?? Well, we started looking and found 2 we really liked - at 2 different Humane Societies. We went to see Boomer and fell in love. He was like a little boomerang - hence the name... But we were told that 2 other families had applications in on him, so after they met him, the volunteers would have to choose the best one. We figured there was no way we would be chosen, since we had 3 dogs already. So, we went to the other Humane Society to see Rags. I fell in love. She had been there for 2 months! We decided she needed to come home with us. We got home and 15 minutes later, we got the call that we had been approved for Boomer!! After a quick discussion, we decided 5 wasn't much different from 4. So, that's how we ended up with 5 dogs... And we have no regrets!
