Christmas Time

We have had a lot of fun around here getting ready for Christmas!  Zoie is loving Christmas this year and can't wait for Santa to come and visit her.  After Thanksgiving we got out our Christmas stuff and decorated the tree....

This past Saturday we had our ward Christmas party.  We had a great time and Zoie loved sitting on Santa's lap.

On Tuesday night we took the youth in our ward to see the Los Angeles temple lights.  The lights were beautiful!

I love the Christmas season!  We are getting so excited to see family and spend the holiday season with them!

Thanksgiving 2010

The only picture I took on Thanksgiving......

She rode that dog the entire time we were there.  She said it was a horse and she named him Jessie.

We had a great Thanksgiving this year!  We decided to stay home instead of traveling to AZ to be with family.  We enjoyed being together as a family and starting a few new traditions.  We woke up and went on "The First Annual Adcox Family Turkey Trot".  It was a great run and the best part about it was that we didn't have to pay!  After our run we watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and I got busy in the kitchen.  Josh enjoyed a nap, while I slaved in the kitchen for a few hours.  I usually don't cook on Thanksgiving since we are usually home, but I really enjoyed the cooking!  We spent the afternoon eating and hanging out with great friends!  Zoie had so much fun and on our way home she asked if she could "please go to bed"....umm....yes please!

7 months...

Today Zack is 7 months old!  This past month has been a big one for Zack.... especially this past week.  In the past week he broke 2 teeth and became mobile!  He has mastered the army crawl.  He is getting into everything, especially his sisters stuff:)  I might be biased, but I still believe that he is the cutest little boy in the world!  I told Josh last night that I think I am slightly obsessed with him.  In my eyes, he can do no wrong!

I got stopped by about 10 people while shopping at Costco to tell me how cute he was.

Santa Barbara

This past weekend we took a VERY fun trip up to Santa Barbara with just our little family.  I haven't had this much fun in a long time.  The purpose for the trip was so that I could run the Santa Barbara marathon.  I signed up for it when I was still on a runners high after running the St. George marathon.  I haven't ran much the past couple of weeks so I wasn't feeling very prepared.  But when race day came I was excited!  When Josh dropped me off at 4:30am I started laughing at myself for running this marathon.  Who runs 2 marathons 5 weeks apart?  Im starting to think I am crazy.  The race ended up going really well.  I finished in 3 hours and 52 minutes.  I beat my previous marathon by 1 minute.  Im pretty proud of that minute.  I didn't have very many goals going into the marathon.  I just knew that I wanted to finish in under 4 hours and I didn't want to "hit the wall".  I accomplished both.  I started off a little slower, picked it up in the middle, and slowed it down in the end.  The weather was amazing.  Cool and cloudy with a little rain around mile 18.  The sun came out around mile 23 just as I was running along the ocean.  Amazing.  My body felt great.  I usually get sick after races, but this time was totally different and I felt great.  We ate lunch at a cute cafe on the ocean where we laughed at our view of 3 naked little boys playing on the beach.  After lunch I was able to take a very cold shower at the beach.....yes I showered at the beach.  Our hotel wouldn't allow us to check out late so that I could come back and take a shower.  We finished the day off playing at the beach while Josh surfed.  Im pretty positive it was a near perfect day for our entire family.

So excited to see Josh and the kids!  They were able to see me 3 times on the course.
FINISHED!  Woohoo!
After eating some yummy food!
This little guy loved the beach!  He was so happy the entire time!
He discovered sand....and loved it.

Halloween 2010

We had a great Halloween this year!  On Friday night our ward had a trunk or treat complete with fun canival games!  Zoie had so much fun!  She has been looking forward to Halloween and dressing up as Tinkerbell since August.  I was surprised that she never changed her mind.  Zack was our little pirate, and he was probably the cutest pirate ever!  On Sunday we got together with a few friends and had soup for dinner and frosted sugar cookies!  It was a great Halloween and we had fun celebrating all weekend long!

Zoie.....
Sassy, independent, stubborn, prefers to only wear skirts or dresses, loves dress up clothes, will only let me do her hair if I put "one pony tail on top", loves her little brother,  loves chocolate milk, favorite color is pink, loves the Disney princesses, loves to play with her friends, puts on music and dance shows for me all day long, hates eating dinner, loves going to school and is growing up way too fast!  Zoie is so much fun right now!  Sometimes I wish I could just freeze time and keep her 3 forever.

Zack.....

Underwood Family Farms Pumpkin Festival!

Today we went to the Pumpkin festival with some friends!  We went there last year and loved it so we were so excited to go back this year!  We were only there for a few hours since it started raining, but we had so much fun!  Zoie loved the slide and climbing the hay bales.  I think she went down the slide at least 10 times!  She has the cutest little group of friends and she had so much fun running around with them!

Her favorite slide!
