Yesterday Lucy and I went to a bunch of stores... At one of them, I went around to get her out of the car, opened the door and said, "come on, Beautiful, let's go!" She got a huge smile on her face and was getting ready to come with me when her shoe came off, so we stopped to put out back on, and then with the sweetest look in the world she looked at me and said, "ok mom, now say, 'come on beautiful, let's go!'" it was seriously cute! Then last night as I was putting her to bed she asked me if I knew how pretty I was. Interested in hearing more, I told her no, so she said, "mom, you are pretty pretty!" And then gave me a hug and kiss! I ask myself often how I could have gotten so lucky as to have this sweet little girl with me!

Don't fall off your chair!
Okay... I know it has been forever and a day since I last posted, but it is just because there has been twelve million things going on, with no time to do it! So... I am just going to make this a crazy long post and try to get everything caught up, and then be better about updating more regular like :)
So... here we go...
For our anniversary in June, Jason took us to the circus - we had third row seats - it was great fun! Lucy had a blast, Jason and I were impressed with the things they were able to do, but more than that, we loved to watch Lucy's expressions! Lucy got a silly hat , Jason had to try it on... and she also got a cool elephant named Asia... she loves her tons!
She is the funniest little girl... with tons of personality!
For the 4th of July, Jason took us to Denver to go to the children's museum (not too much fun for Lucy without having other kids to play with... but it was fun anyway) and then to go to the aquarium - that was absolutely awesome! We ate at the restaurant there - well, Jason and I ate while Lucy watched the fish in the HUGE tank! She got to talk to mermaids, feed sting rays and see a ton of super fish!
Lucy loves anything that involves Bompa! I love that they get along so well!
Lucy thinks it is really fun to get hair cuts... until recently I have been able to put her off with just washing her hair, putting the cape on, and doing a hair style...
In July we went to White Fence Farms in Denver for dinner with the whole Clifford family... it was pretty good food, but the time was great with family - I loved seeing Lucy and Tyler watching the ducks!
These girls were all best buds! From the top left Katelyn (she is exactly three years older than Lucy... when Grandma called to tell them that Lucy was here, she exclaimed excitedly "I got a baby for my birthday?!?!?") Jocelyn, Sabella, Lucy and Julia.
We had a BBQ and it started raining - it was the first time that Lucy got to use an umbrella...
She didn't want to keep sitting at the table with Nana, so she created her own umbrella!
Then decided that her skirt was getting in the way and was a little too long... nice look, right?
In case you didn't get a good look before... oh yeah... she was singing too! I tell you... funny kid!
Lucy had her first trip to the dentist this summer - her happy visit turned up 2 cavities, so we went in the next week to get them filled and she was a champ! They only planned on doing one side, but she was so great they did the other one right after! People kept looking in on her and asking if she was okay because she was soooo soooo good! The only thing she was concerned with was that Uncle Jeff would tickle her feet!
We went camping with some friends - Lucy loved playing with Hazel and making sure that she didn't get hurt. Lucy thinks camping in the motor home is extremely fun!
This is a crazy thing that Lucy started - sucking her toe - instead of her thumb (which she never did anyway) but the thing that makes me laugh about it is that my sister did this when she was about the same age too...
Lucy started preschool this year and is loving it! She was so excited the first day to be able to use her Tangled backpack!
Isn't she cute???
She really likes her classmates and loves to talk to us about what she has learned!
She has been in to tents lately... so this day we had to make a tent so she could have a picnic with Opie for lunch.
Lucy has been finding makeup samples in random places, and must put it on... completely by herself - for some reason it always ends up above the eyebrow!
This time a wash and style wouldn't fix her... she begged - and I do mean that literally... for about 3 weeks to get her hair cut - she wanted it short like mine, but I refused...
Cute shoulder length bob made her happy though - I cried... and still get sick to my stomach when I think about how beautiful and long her hair was, but it is hers, right?
And she does look cute - but she just looks so much older to me :(
Lucy has always loved to swing, and I have always loved the smile I get when she is on them! Her little squeal of delight is fabulous!
My mom watched Lucy the other day so I could go to the doctor... Lucy woke up that morning and said that she needed to wear her UTES shirt, so Nana put hers on too. The whole day Lucy kept yelling "Go UTAH!!" it was awesome!
I taught school the last two weeks.. this week on Tuesday I taught them about B... and to get them in to the whole thing, I told them they were bakers... they made these cool hats and baked some bread... they had snacks that ALL started with B... it was pretty awesome! So, I had Lucy help me make some bread for Sunday dinner and she had to wear her bakers hat ... I love this little girl. She is my best friend!
Jason was in working in the yard yesterday and saw this crazy giant caterpillar... we had never seen one this big before... that is my hand it is on for some perspective on the size. it was crazy! Lucy wanted to kiss it, but wouldn't hold it... isn't that strange?
K... now, I promise to try to keep this updated... TRY is the key word there :)

She did it again!
Do you remember my crazy talented friend that did our family pictures last year? I had her do some of Lucy at the beginning of the month and again she rocked them! She has a way of capturing my little Lucy's personality like no one else! Thanks so much Sarah for your awesome work!! Everyone else, enjoy the pictures!
also... just as information... this is some random little duck pond on the side of the road in Monument - totally crazy that Sarah can make the most off the wall and common of places look so amazing!

This little lopsided grin is the one that we see a ton from Lucy - silly, right?
I just want to squeeze those little cheeks! and how about the crazy blue of her eyes... breathtaking, right?
The last one is for a a little grin... check out the double chin she has going on... she had just tooted and therefore we got a real smile :P
