CABOURG PLAGE

I want to share some pictures of Cabourg where we spent some great days with our kites on the beach (after a fall the first day, ice and oinment on my right knee I was able to join him on the Thursday).

Enough wind, no rain and of course a schedule linked to tide times.

The beach is great enough for runners, kids, training racehorses (a lot of well known stud farms in Normandy and racecourses), shellfishes collectors...

DH has many new homemade kites to test
as those three cubes and the big butterfly

I didn't take much pictures but could try to do some "in the manner of"  Shamekh Bluwi.

Here are some examples of his work

Not so easy to do it alone but I shall make more drawings for a next photo shoot!

I'll be back on Sunday with pictures of our visit at the castel in Vendeuvre and we went to Pegasus Bridge Memorial in Benouville and to the Paleospace in Villers sur Mer.

Sunday post in a few hours...

Topic(s) for this month: Give us five projects in your stash right now that you’d really love to start – and why you haven’t yet.

1/ Tiny cross stitch for necklaces in small hoops
2/ Patchwork cover with dogs or cats
3/ Sewing some clothes and a cap
4/ Junkbook with Egyptian theme
5/ OYoS  2023/2024

1/ Tiny xstitch means good eyes and I have not feel comfy yet to start it without getting upset if it doesn't work as I wanted.

2-3/ Sewing is linked to get used with my new sewing machine, after a very bad start I have made a new test with the gift for the baby, the result isn't totally good and in spite of several attempts I can't find a good tension setting for the thread.

4/ Very tempting but really not essential.

5/ I'm already late on March/April embroidery.

I have already so many WIP I can't allow myself new starts... unless it's my birthday month maybe!

LET IT SNOW!

Snow on the garden this morning...

Last post about Normandy, when we discover this amazing wood work for Notre Dame de Paris,
I chose triangle as my pic challenge for this holidays, here is a selection.

As they said, they put it up on N-D forecourt !

Bien sûr, inévitables les voiles ; sailing boats of course,

Plus inattendus ce renard et sa poule...   an unexpected fox and his "cocotte"

this fish waiting for a good home...

Two small warning triangles : You have to wear a mask inside and if you want to protest they give you the phone number of Elysée and Matignon which are the places of our President and PM.
The restaurant name was "the cactus",  true...  and... spicy...

To close this holidays chapter, I 'm sure you'd like this gentleman welcoming us with gestures barriers.
