I do love these boys!
How cute are they?!
Duncan is at a really fun stage of learning tons of language just now. He is putting words together to make semi-mini-sentences and trying out lots of new words he has heard, too. The other day, for example, when he asked me to do something and I kind of said something like, "Well, I don't know..." Duncan said to me, "Just try." It was so out of the blue! Of course I did "just try" after he said that. How could I not?
There are so many new words and phrases he uses consistently, but one of my favourites is when he says "Carry you." That means he wants to be carried or he is telling Ewan that he will carry Ewan (yes, he does try that - Ewan is such a good sport!). If Duncan wants to be carried or picked up, he'll come over and say "carry you, mommy." It's so cute! So, here he is:
Marbles!
Reading his books.
Wearing his gloves and sandals with no trousers on. Nothing odd about that.
And now a little bit about Ewan:
Look at that sweet face!
Ewan is crawling everywhere these days and pulling himself to stand up a lot. He is all into standing on his own and just the past few days has taken some steps on his own! He isn't a full "walker" (that has nothing to do with zombies in this case, Joe) yet, but he is certainly heading that direction fast! I love watching him stand and then wiggle his little body around to get one foot to take a tiny little step out in front. I also love it when he's standing and decides to squat down to pick up a toy. He is just so much fun to watch! So here are some photos of Ewan:
Enjoying the outside - even though it's cold!
Eating Cheerios.
You can see 2 or 3 of his 7 teeth in this photo.
They are precious little boys, and together they're great fun, too! Ewan loves watching Duncan and Duncan loves making Ewan laugh. They play together in a lot of different ways - like playing Boo! or crawling on top of each other, or sitting next to each other each with a toy, or singing together. One song that we can all sing together is "Old McDonald had a Farm" because Ewan can sing the "E-I-E-I" part, and Duncan sings the animal names, noises and "E-I-E-I-O" part, and Daddy and Mommy sing the rest!
Here are a few photos of the boys together:
Kisses while playing in the tent together.
We've been on an apple-kick lately (and by "we" I mean Duncan and Ewan), so here they are both munching away.
See you la~ter!
