Arip Performs

Takder laa extra ordinary.

Takder taa super outstanding.

Tapi, Arip did perform. Anak haaaku... Kat depan pulak tuu. Hopefully this will help his confidence in the future.

Tahun depan, Arip masuk darjah dua. This was video-ed during the pre-schoolers' graduation at his school. Hmmm, nowadays, pre-schoolers pun ada graduation. ~

(sorry for user-slow connection for the big-gish 73 Mb, 3plus+ minutes video. Kalau rasa lama sangat takyah upload laa.
BTW, I got this zuper-extra-gemok-Moto-Moto Jalur in the Office..)

How to re-sparkle up relationship with old toy.

If you're a Vehicle Enthusiast, like me, it's easy.

First of all, unlike me, you must have some extra dough to spare.
Only then, you can start to refurbish the vehicle. Re-sparking up the relationship.

Tint up the Glass.
Replace the tires. Grab a fresh set of Pirellis.
Get a new set of polished gun metal rims.
Re-upholster the seat. Soft aromatic Nappa Leather's nice.
Get a new dazzling coat of paint. Paintbrush the hood.
Perk up the headlamps, get the blue-ish xenon lights.
Install new sets of extractor. New throaty exhaust pipe. (Abah boh ekzos besar. Kita boleh hmmmmmmmmmoooooooop. According to Arip)
ICE-ed it up(In-Car-Entertainment).
I believe by now,.You kno-whad-da-mean..

That's exactly what I did to my 14-year-old, around-the-taman, speda. My By-cyclicle..
Refurbish it.

Last Saturday, I took the 14 year-old to the last remaining bicycle shop in Section 6. Ask the owner, Auntie Yam, to change the handle-bar to a more upright position. I could no longer stand the Randy Mamola-like, semi crouching, position.

And the hand grip.

And not to forget, the seat. Yes ! the one that has been supporting my precious buns for the last 14 years.

Auntie showed me new seat. She told me that's the last one they have. It's a pre-Zaman Jepun, Hercules-type-bike, with helical-spring support.

I thought that's great !. Looking at the design, I'll be definitely comfortable.

And Boooyyy, was I wrong. Big Time !!.

*****
Anyway, lemme sidetrack a bit. Hey! I need help here. What is the area, between rectum and scrotum called ? Yes, that Area. That 50-cent-coin size of real estate. That no-man's-land area. Whatizzit called huh ?

Sorry, lets get back to the speda story..

Hmmm,. The *&^% seat keep on hitting that blardy area whenever I'm riding. I tell you,. Sunggoh la tak selesa..

Habis Periksa

Aku rasala, satu Malaya, semua anak2 kecik dah habis periksa. Kecuali anak yang besar yang ambik SPM tuu.

Rata-rata, Mak2 seluruh Malaya dah lega. Bapak2, pada pandapat aku, biasa ajer. Buat derrk aje. Naturally dah memang macam tuu. Indifferent.

Kat sini pun sama juga. Afiqa dah abis PMR. Anne dah habis periksa akhir tahun tingkatan 1. Pipa punya Kertas BM darjah 3 pun Jumaat lepas. Arip, ntah 2 minggu lepas.

Yang best sekali, Ajim pun dah habis periksa, according to him laa.

Semalam, masa Ajim dok meleser dekat aku,Ajim bisik kat aku perlahan-lahan.Biasalakan, Bila Ajim dok meleser, Arip pun ada berdekatan. Dilla pun ada sama.

"Abah Ajim dah habis periksa semalam.."

"Oh yer kerrr. Ajim dah dapat result, Ajim dapat nombor berapa ?"

Aku tengok muka Ajim macam berkerot semacam. Macam tak paham. Perlahan-lahan dia pergi ke arah Arip. Dan perlahan-lahan dia tanya Arip.

"A-yape, ayape...Nombor berapa dapat hadiah Ayape ?"

Arip macam biasala, being a bigger brother, dia buat layan-tak-layan, sambil bercakap dengan penuh-kuasa-abang-besar.

"Nombor dua ke-atas !"

Ajim pun rapat semula kat aku. Ajim nii kalau cakap memang pelan-pelan, sepatah sepatah. lo-man-tik tauu.

"Abaaaah, Ajim dapat nombor duaa... Bila Abah nak beli mei-nan?"

Hmmmm,.

Newfound hobby

Entah kenapa, 2-3 minggu kebelakangan nii aku syiok sangat bertekak dengan Ah Yee Kominih kat tingkat 1.

Ah Yee's not my direct boss. But he's behaving like one. Instructing me to this and that. With his Military background, the country he's from, and the country he spend most of his time, working. Tuu yang aku panggil Ah Yee, hhmm, Kominih.

I have no problem whatsoever with his military background. In fact, most of the time, I kinda enjoying it. As you would've known by now, alaa, Sarjan Mat pun dari dalam kem jugak dulu. Most of the terms and jargons Ah Yee's using, I'm familiar. It's kinda family to me.

Whenever, Ah Yee's on Drilling Mode, it reminds me of my daddy.

Now, whenever I'm out of the meeting room, after bertekak with him, I feel calm and soothing. I think mebbe it's the adrenaline.

And unlike before, I'm somewhat looking forward to meet Ah Yee.

Ever Ready.

*****

Uncle Bantut, the bosses' boss, report for duties on 1st October. Only after roughly 5 weeks, he officially introduced himself to the Masses.

Do I like what I see ? Yes. Unlike Mr Gessle, he communicates like us, the commoner, the eastern peasants.

Do I like what was presented ? No. The e-mo-no-cic is going down-down-dowwwn. Pointing down south. Like the country where UB's from. Hopefully, just like in 97, GLC2 would react slowly. Taking 2 years to realise there's a problem.

Kenkadang, selow-selow pun ada gak paedahnya..

Help me God.

Jo Vain

Nak Berdarah, Berdarah laa
Biarkan luka di hujung jari
Nak Muntah, Muntahlaa
Hanya diguna meriangkan Hati,

*****

I have a smaller brother. In Sarjan Mat's clan, we call him Pakchu. Pakchu was born, when I was in standard five. I remember that day well. The rugged look of Sarjan Mat's face informing me that I have another small brother. Near the poorly maintaned tennis court beside the Mess, while we're having our PE class.

Pakchu's special. He's special, because when he was small he looked like me. People said, exactly like me.

Or was it , people remembered when I was small, I look like him. Or is it, when he's grown up, he looks like me. Hmm,..

Anyway, one thing for sure, he does look like me. Less handso-mer version of me, Yes !,

Last few Saturdays, like most people in Klang Valley, we went for Open house. We met this guy with his happy family, who gave me this peculiar look, like we've met before. His name is Aris. Only after a good half hour conversation, Aris popped up this question.

" Awok ni adek Pakchu ker ?"

(not familiar hearing this kinda question before, my heart beat went one microsecond faster). I look to Maam and emphasize the question again. Clearly.

"Awok dengar tuu dak ? Aris tanya saya, Awok nii ADEK pakchu ker ?"

Mr and maam laughed. Aris face went even peculiar.

All I can say is this. Either this guy a seasoned salesman. He gave his bussiness card earlier showing that he's from a Unit Trust co. Selling unit trust. Or, he's really honest.

And I truly hope, it's the latter.. Ha haaaaa.

*****

I'm also a sales-meng. I need to practice more doing the-Aris.

Law of Contract

Went for Law of Contract Training for 2 days. 2 things I've learnt :

We have a reasonably good, brand new training rooms and acceptably good food. The cutleries are heavy and they used real white plates. No styrofoam plates. Alhamdullillaah..

2. Bertapa pentingnya titik noktah, komma, apostrophe dalam ayat2 kontrak. Sila rujuk ayat di bawah sebagai contoh..

Woman without her man
is an animal

Woman, without her, man is an animal.

There's no need to explain further laa.
