This woman’s style caught my eye while wandering around Toronto yesterday and I had to jot it down. I’ve been wanting to put together a sketchbook of Toronto folk “fan art” for a while now as there are so many great styles, designs and colours walking around here. Maybe I’ll just start with trying to do a couple of these a week.

Seasonal Beauties 2014 Calendar

A super cute calendar I helped put together with my animation pals is available on Etsy and ready to pretty up your wall in 2014! “Seasonal Beauties” features 12 illustrations telling the story of a couple falling in love amidst some iconic Toronto backdrops (or a Second Cup coffee shop in my piece!)

It’s a limited run of 200 prints (I’ll have 8 copies with me at APE in San Francisco in a couple weeks) so if you’re interested, act quick!

Music lessons in the garden

I've been so busy with animation work and drawing other people's characters lately, feels good to draw these folks again! Inspired by my own attempts to pick up the guitar. Also, I like to think the Princess is a lefty, like Shaggy's and my little sister Hes.

The Princess and Markus are characters from "Silly Kingdom," Shaggy's and my first self published comic available as either a digital pdf or printed book in our shop and at the comic conventions we are exhibiting at this year (C2E2, VanCAF, Con Bravo!)

Jackie Rose

Guest art for Josh Ulrich's upcoming Jackie Rose book (which you can also read online here). I've always had a love for world-travelling-adventurer stories, bizarre ancient treasures, and scrappy clever heroines (with freckles!) That Jackie has to work crappy part time jobs to finance her own adventures was that extra slice-o-life humour that made me really dig Josh's story.
