21 1/2" INCH PRIMITIVE FOLK ART CRYSTALINA (#3) SNOWLADY DOLL - SOLD

 Meet Crystalina #3.  Her 'sisters' #1  & #2 found homes last Christmas and #3 is hoping to find as good a home as her siblings'.

She is a design by Homebodies and measures 21 1/2" tall.
Crystalina is made of stained osnaburg and stuffed with polyester filling.  Her nose is burnt orange wool and hand stitched.

Her coat dress is made from an old red, black and green wool stadium blanket as are her matching earmuffs.
Her mittens are stained muslin and tied with jute.  Boots are painted burnt umber.

I've blanket stitched around the coat dress collar and top of pocket.  I've sewn a rusty star onto the front of the pocket and stuffed the pocket with some greenery and berries dusted with 'snow flurries'.

Crystalina's scarf is red fleece.

I've stained a red and white chenille candy cane and attached it to her coat dress with a rusty safety pin and small rusty bell.

There is a loop on the back of her neck (scarf line) for hanging.

This doll is not meant as a toy for a child, but is a Christmas decoration or for an adult who collects snowmen.

HOMER SNOWFELLA #2 HANGING DOOR GREETER - SOLD

 

 I made this snowman head to hang on a front door or he can be hung on a wall or cupboard.  There is a wire hanger on the back.

This door greeter measures13" long and 13" wide ( from earmuff to earmuff)

Snowman has been made from muslin, stuffed with polyester filling and painted with a mixture of acrylic paint and coffee stain, then sanded.  His nose, in the shape of a carrot, is made from burnt orange colored wool and hand stitched.  Eyes are large black buttons.  Mouth and eyebrows are hand drawn.  His rosy cheeks are scattered with mica flake 'snow'.

He's wearing green wool earmuffs with curly rusty wire and a red, green & gold metallic plaid scarf.  Inside the scarf I've tucked some faux pine and berries, also scattered with mica flake 'snow'.

Signed and dated.
