I totally had this idea first...trust me. I wore those damn morning sickness ugly ass elastic grey sweatband looking things for two/three months in the beginning of my pregnancy and I said, "wouldn't it be brilliant of me to come up with these that are super stylish and cute?" No lie, I totally said that to everyone that noticed me wearing those nasty things. And, now that I don't need them anymore, someone snatched my brilliant idea and had them made. Their glorious...and I'm jealous. I totally recommend for those preggo ladies out there that these saved my life when I had morning sickness. I would totally buy all of these.

This is the weirdest thing ever...
I had found these adorable little scooter jackets and of course had to have one...no doubt, right? The only ones I found were green or red. Daddy really didn't want me spending any money on this stuff, but mentioned he would prefer black...me too. So, I did some google searching and low and behold...a black baby scooter jacket. Well, each color has a different patch sewn on the front....guess what the patch said on the black jacket? FLYNN! Hello! Thats' freakish! So, I showed Daddy and he says, "Okay, I guess we HAVE to have it then...go ahead and buy it." Whoo hoo! And, it was half off...thank goodness, cause it was $60 full price. Is that not the cutest thing you ever did see? I'm so pumped. He's going to be a doll in his little Flynn Scooter Jacket! Rock on Flynn! He'll look just like his daddy!

Vintage Score

Mare and I spent an afternoon combing through Bohemian Spirits racks recently and this is what I cam home with. I got the little pink baby dress for my knitting friend, Amy, who is having a baby very soon. It has little lambs on the embroidery...perfect to accent the fact that we are knitters. The house dress is real cute on with a matching belt. It reminds me of my grandmother. She used to wear stuff like this all the time. The necklace is way cool, couldn't believe that I found that one. It was a very good day for shopping!!!

How could I forget

...the kick-A vintage Bandolino's mom packed up for me along with my old toys. They are hers that she found tucked back in the closet darkness. They have like never been worn and are a gorgeous little red leather peep-toe pump...lovin' my moms!!! Way to go for being a horder!!!!!

Retro Surprise

So, check it out...my mom is again cleaning out closets and she brings me some goodies recently. I got all my Barbie dolls and Strawberry Shortcake dolls, case and snail cart, plus this doll I completely forgot I had. She's a ballerina and you pump her crown and she spins and kicks her leg...so cute. All of this stuff is like brand new and just as I remembered. There were even Charlie's Angel trading cards in the mix...whatever.

Bringin' up some memories they are

Doin' a little shoppin' on the ol' Ebay this week...came across some very familiar friends from my childhood. Several of these I still have in my toy chest my parents sent home with me recently. In my treasure box, I found my old Strawberry Shortcake set and the Dawn dolls as seen left...they are so cool. Searching through Ebay makes me want more, but I "need" shoes/purses, etc. more! So, I think I still have my old Donnie Osmond doll with purple socks. I thought he was so hot for some reason...maybe because I was like 6 or something.

These other toys are from babyhood...and isn't it strange that I remember them? The jack-in-the-box and the dolls. Pretty bizarre feelings I had while remembering back when...it was like I could smell the plastics and feel the fabrics these toys had back then...so special to have that come back. Wow! I want my imaginary children to have my toys to play with...hopefully they will love them as much as I did and still do. I have my Victorian dollhouse too...so I better have a girl when the time comes.

The 70's were definately the good ol' days and in my opinion the best ever era to be a little girl.

Wind-up funny face doll. I still have her...my favorite to this day. You wind her arm around, and she performs like the exorcist chick...ewww...but it's awesome..such a cool invention. They don't make fun toys like this anymore.

I think these were called Lapsitter dolls or something. I had the little brunette on the left. They kinda reminded me of Holly Hobby dolls with their little gingham and floral outfits. Of course, I had the Holly Hobby everything too...love her. One of my friends actually knows the artist who created Holly Hobby..very cool.

Liddle Kiddles lockets...they had the shortest little legs...I just loved them, cause I could wear them to church with me and play.

I won! I won!

I won these awesome vintage Frye boots yesterday...hopefully will receive them before Christmas weekend. Love them! They better fit!

So, I had gotten these other "what I thought were" Frye boots for like $5 at Wall's Bargain Center...they are actually Dingo's and ended up being way to big to even fake wearing...not fun. I think they are men's boots. But, I'm just going to put those on ebay and try to make up for buying my new ones that I can now wear in comfort, I hope!

The Dingo's are really cool. They fit a friend of mine, but she wanted me to try to get some money from them instead of just giving them to her...what a sweetie...they are awfully cute though. I will post when I'm putting them up...they are probably a size 9 women's.

It's the Blythe

Here's little miss Blythe doll...she is pretty cute...I've got it all out of my system now though...don't need anymore of those...on to the next purse or shoes I need to have. Is that fish supposed to go on her head...I have no idea...it's just keeping her hair fixed because of course I had to take it down and mess with it...hello.

I found these at a vintage store a scooter acquaintance just acquired. The old owners used to sell funky wigs and these guys aren't going to, so they aren't keeping the mannequins...rock on...there were only two retro ones, the rest were 70's style ugly...I got them both for 10 bucks. These sell on ebay for at least $60 each...and I've been wanting some forever to display my hats and jewelry. How hot are these!!! Yeah!
