I have started a project for this year to paint the British Peninsula War  Light Division in 28mm. So far I have finished the British component of the Division: 52nd Oxfordshire Light Infantry, 43 Monmouthshire Light Infantry, 95th Rifles, Horse Artillery. The figures are Front Rank. Now I have to do the Portuguese Cazadores and infantry.

MEDIEVAL SWISS ARMY

Here is my Swiss army. This has been a LONG time in the making. I first made the master figures and the drop cast moulds for the army back in 1983. I cast a lot of figures, painted some and put the rest in a bag where they remained for many years. In the last year or so I have returned to my Swiss and painted all the figures I cast. I have added some Perry heads for variation and used some Foundry minis for standard bearers and a mounted leader. I have also used figures from other manufacturers for the crossbows and handguns. I have four cannons to go with this army. Two of these are painted and two more are almost done. Now why paint the pikes red? In the Funken book on Medieval armies they have the Swiss pikes as red and I thought they looked good, so mine are red.

IRON CLAD

Here is an American Civil War ironclad which I made more than 20 years ago. Its made from scrap wood and a plastic tube for the funnel. You can see two 28mm minis with it to give you an idea of the size. There are three images here, one a fancy photoshopped image with 'water' the other a straight image and the third an image of a visit by the ladies to the ship. I am proud of this old fellah, it is homemade with no commercial products involved, much like how many of the originals were put together.

SIKH WARS MINIATURES

Some of my Sikh Wars era minis. These ones are all East India Company Troops. 1st Bengal European Light Infantry, two Madras Native infantry Battalions, a Colonel and the Bengal Horse Artillery. All are 28mm minis and all Foundry or conversions of Foundry.

1836 MEXICAN ARTILLERY

 

Viva Santa Anna! Just finished these Mexican artillery guns for the 1836 Texas campaign, also any other service El Presidente deems it necessary for them to undertake. The guns are old ones I had in the spares box, the gunners are from Orinoco Miniatures.
