Too Many Pictures of Spring?

Can you ever have too many pictures of Spring? I think not! I can't imagine how much I'm going to miss this next year living in California.

Hudson living his best life and enjoying the Spring beauty and weather (or secretly giving up on school two months early?!)

Now seems like the best time for this...

Spring Soccer 2021

This will be our last season of YMS soccer after 12 years. We will miss our YMS family and all of the great coaches all four of my kiddos have had throughout the years and all of the great friends they've made.

Brooklyn's team got killed 1-5 in their first game this week; however, Hudson's team dominated their opponents 7-1 with Hudson scoring three of the seven goals! It was an exciting game!...

Spring is HERE!!

Oh my goodness! Spring is here and once again I am in complete awe at the beauty that is blooming in our area! The flowering trees and plants have me whipping out my camera at every corner. I've even had to pull over on the side of the road a few times to get a picture... it's just amazing! I wish I was a professional photographer so these pictures could really do justice to the beauty throughout our neighborhood!

Sam and Hudson heading down the hill after a fun day at school...

I'm really going to miss this neighborhood and all of the great people that live in it...

Easter 2021

Easter weekend was low-key and delicious. We spent most of our time watching General Conference and eating all of Brooklyn's yummy baked creations... in addition to the kids' Easter basket candy. Our bathroom scale isn't amused!

The kids had fun dyeing Easter eggs on Saturday and then hunting for them Sunday morning. The Easter Bunny was extra good this year - hiding the 48 colored eggs on all three floors. It took a while to find them all and I think there's still one more hidden somewhere around here. I guess our movers will find it in June!

Easter baskets were fulled with candy, swim suits, clothes, books, toys and money. We had Brooklyn's delicious homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast along with my favorite tatertot and egg casserole. Dinner was French Dips with potatoes and asparagus and finished off with Brooklyn's Lemon Poppyseed cupcakes with blackberry buttercream frosting (which Brooklyn didn't love so quickly made a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate Cadbury Mini Eggs.) It's no wonder we all gained a few pounds this weekend!

We had a hard time getting B to stop baking treats and start dyeing eggs...

Kendall and Hudson had no problem dyeing their dozen eggs in all sorts of pretty color combinations...

Hudson seems impressed with this one...

Showing off their favorite ones...

Finally taking a break to dye eggs while her goodies are baking in the oven...

Getting home late from a church activity, Ella had the whole kitchen... and dyes... all to herself...

Easter. morning and the kids are ready for the hunt...

Hudson counting his loot...

Brooklyn's taking a second look on the toy shelves after Kendall and Hudson made a first go at it...

Ella got lucky and found a few, too...

Hudson has been wearing these bunny ears off and on for the past two weeks...

Easter basket goodies...

Time to figure out how many we're still missing...

Well, that's one way to use your placemats, Hudson! Makes for a perfect Easter bonnet...

Who doesn't like a little money hidden inside an egg?!...

A new swim suit for Hudson...

And Brooklyn... we're going to need these a lot more living in San Diego!...

Hiking in Tohickon Valley

Spent a beautiful spring day hiking in Tohickon Valley County Park admiring the beautiful trees, river, teeter-totter, and fort. Of course, there may have been one or two grumpy kids, as well...

Tohickon Valley County Park

Ryan found a great little hiking place not too far from home today. It was a 3.5 mile loop with some interesting and fun things throughout like cliffs, creek beds, a fallen tree teeter-totter, a log shelter, and beautiful views.

The view of Tohickon Creek from the top...

Kendall looks thrilled that I'm taking her picture...

Brooklyn is waiting for the slow pokes...

Hudson enjoying the dry creek bed...
