10th Anniversary Blog Celebration -- Day 1

Welcome to the 10 year anniversary celebration of my blog!

I started my blog almost ten years ago, on Dec. 30, 2005.
What began as a place to share photos and thoughts has become such a big
part of my life, seeing as I post almost daily.

I had to laugh as I reread my first post, because I expressed concern about
being able to keep up with it.... I guess 10 years and 2339 posts confirm that I was able to do so!

Here's one of the first photos I posted on my blog:

Look how adorable my children were!

So, to celebrate TO THE FULL's 10 year anniversary,
I'm doing a series of posts over the next few days.

Now, while I was mainly a scrapbooker when I started my blog,
I can't deny that the frequency of my posts greatly increased when
I started stamping and making cards.
However, I do still enjoy making layouts,
even if it has taken a bit of a backseat to my card making.

So, today, I'm sharing my 10 favourite layouts that I created in 2015.

Reverse Confetti December Blog Hop

Well, it's the eighth of the month,
which means it's time for the Reverse Confetti Blog Hop!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog
and you should have made it here from the amazing Amy Sheffer's blog
It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing.
We have tons of inspiration for you to see using Reverse Confetti's fabulous products!

Now, the Reverse Confetti DT was challenged a new project
as well as share our top three favourite Reverse Confetti projects from 2015!

First up, my new project...

I decided to get creative with my Reverse Confetti Confetti Cuts and felt
to make a couple of Christmas ornaments.

Let's start with the owl...

I started by diecutting his body using one of the Tagged Tote Confetti Cuts.
Once this was cut, I ran it back through my diecutting machine to cut
the straight edge with the curved edge to make the top of my owl's head.
I used this same die a third time to cut the oval belly --
I just ran it through twice.
I used the little handle dies to diecut his wings and the geotag die
from Documented Confetti Cuts for his eyes.
For his beak, I diecut the end of the Arrow Confetti Cut and then
diecut that again with the geotag die to create the right shape.
Then, I stitched everything together using my sewing machine
and stuffed some batting inside to make him plump.

I cut out the fox with the same Tagged Tote Confetti Cuts and created the oval the same way, too.
This time, though, I cut the top of his head using the Office Edges Confetti Cuts.
I cut his tail with the same die as the owl's wings, the white around his eyes
using the triangle from Branch Out Confetti Cuts and the details of his ears and tail
using some Layered Snowflake Confetti Cuts.

Here are the dies I used:

Okay, now I'd like to share with your my favourite Reverse Confetti projects from 2015.
I had a hard time narrowing it down, but finally chose these three projects:

First up is the Shine Layout that I made for the May Release:

Crazy for Christmas: Memory Keeping

Hey there!
We are so excited to bring you Crazy for Christmas this week,
filled with lots of inspiration from Reverse Confetti.
We have a theme for each day, so you'll want to check out
the Reverse Confetti blog to see links to the projects for the past three days.

Our theme for today is Memory Keeping.

Now, as someone who's scrapbooked for over 12.5 years,
I have scrapbooked a lot of Christmas layouts.
A lot!

And while I enjoy scrapbooking the photos I take on Christmas morning,
there are other elements of the holidays that I want to remember, too.

I decided to create a layout using some of the new products that were released last week
and some photos of my daughter helping me bake tarts.
I started by layering some Pink Paislee patterned paper over
some Bazzill Basics Classic White cardstock.

I stamped the "fresh baked" sentiment from With Love in two different colours of ink
to have it match my daughter's sweater.
I then did the same thing with the Alphabetical stamp set to spell out "GOODIES".
I love that these are the same font!

I used the same two inks to blend colour onto some cardstock
and diecut them using the Holly Confetti Cuts.
I pressed some Delicata silver ink onto my cardstock to diecut the berries.

I repeated the same blending and inking techniques on to another
piece of cardstock and diecut these using the Bubbly Tag Topper Confetti Cuts.
I adhered these to a Topped Off Tag Confetti Cuts, on which
I wrote out my journaling and stamped "joy" from With Love.

Here's a list of the other Reverse Confetti DT that are sharing
Memory Keeping projects today on their blogs:

Shine layout

Today, I have a scrapbooking layout to share that I made
using some Webster's patterned paper & some Reverse Confetti  products.

This fabulous quote from the  God is Good stamp set makes me think of stars,
so I chose this fun piece of patterned paper that shows the constellations for my background.

I matted my photo and stamped my sentiment on some Bazzill Basics CS White cardstock.
I had fun stamping my sentiment in three colours to five an ombre effect:
PTI''s enchanted evening, Heidi Swapp's mint & PTI's aqua mist.

I diecut the three flags below the photo from enchated evening,
aqua mist and the Bazzill CS White using one of the Stitched Flag Trio Confetti Cuts.

CREATE Magazine -- take two

As I mentioned in this post, the Bazzill Basics Design Team were featured in the

We were each asked to design a card and layouts using the excellent sketches
created by Allison Davis.
In the magazine, which you can download for free here,  I have a layout
using the single page sketch, as well as a card.

However, I also made a layout using the two page sketch, which
I'd like to share with you today.

CREATE Magazine -- take two Leigh Penner @leigh148 @bazzillbasics #bazzillbasics #scrapbookinglayout

I used some Bazzill Basics cardstock (CS White, Bling: Infatuation, Fourz: Springtime)
to scrapbook the photos I took of Sage & my fairy garden.

CREATE Magazine -- take two Leigh Penner @leigh148 @bazzillbasics #bazzillbasics #scrapbookinglayout

I used a Pretty Pink Posh scalloped border die to diecut my Bling: Infatuation cardstock
and some Quickutz Cotton Candy & PTI Book Print alphabet dies for my title.

I diecut and stamped the flowers using PTI's Brushed Blooms.

On the second page, I printed my photos as 3x4 and used the same scallops border die.

Once again, I added some Brushed Blooms flowers.

I used a PTI Simply Framed die to diecut my journaling.

I also made a coordinating card using the card sketch and some of the same products.

I stamped the striped lines on the background using
