A bird-in-progress i started to make in the summer as a late birthday present for my sister which i then hoped to offer as a Christmas present.. very much inspired by (and very far from being as lovely as) Abigail Brown's exquisite birds.
Lucius is enjoying a lovely rocking chair Alessandra sent me, she also made the little lavender cushion Lucius is leaning on. Alessandra, you're a star, thank you very much!
I am hoping to cross the channel tomorrow, weather permitted, i wish you all a lovely and relaxing Christmas! x

i am joining the snow wagon
the snow wasn't as heavy as last February but it was still fun
i haven't been making any dolls this week, in fact the fabric has been put away last weekend and the sewing machine unplugged. Apart from catching up with the obvious Christmas duties, tidying up a much neglected house has been on the agenda.
and some hanging. a lovely blue cloth from Elisabeth that is perfect in the kitchen, and a poster i had my eyes on for a while by Cornelia O'Donovan in the boys' bedroom. have a look at her shop full of very charming things here
Enjoy your weekend x

it is a real pleasure to finally be able to show you the latest collaboration with Vancouver based illustrator, Julie Morstad.
Julie contacted me months ago via the blog after i wrote a post about her book, Milk Teeth. after the third email we had agreed on doing something together. the resulting drawing is a real treat. there is a lovely warmth and richness in the colours and patterns, and the details are amazing. I just love Julie's interpretation of Lewis and Lumi, i hope you will love the print as much as i do. thank you so much Julie!
check out Julie's shop and her other beautiful prints.

the print measures 21 x 29,7 cm  / 8,26 x 11,7 inches
printed on Hahnemuhle bamboo archival paper, 290gsm

the print is a limited edition and will be available in my shop
the shop will be updated later on today at about 4.30pm GMT

Lucius number 5 and 6 will be in the shop tomorrow, they may look a bit serious and suspicious but they're actually a good laugh. Lumi who appears in this print will join them too.
I didn't manage to make as many dolls as i would have liked to this week but i'll do my best to have some Lumi dolls ready by the end of next week.
And the new collaboration will be revealed in my next post!

thank you all for your birthday wishes in the post below, I've passed them on to mr Lucien xx
