It's been a long time since I last blog. With facebook, it is much easier to keep in touch with friends. It's easier to write shorter messages. Nevertheless, blogging has it's advantages and disadvantages too.
I'm wondering what to blog....perhaps on cooking. Must get ready to take pictures of the food made. Most of the food I make are based on recipes which I download from different websites. Today I made Chicken and Lup Cheong rice. Nice and simple to make. Simply marinade chicken with oyster and thick soya sauce and ginger juice. Cook the rice till about 1/2 cook (water almost drying up), pour in the marinaded chicken with lup cheong and "wah lah" it's cooked after 40 minutes. Delicious....

Eventful Days
Haven't been blogging much but I'm home these few days, recovering from a wisdom tooth minor surgery so have some time to rest and write something. This is my second wisdom tooth extraction and it's horrible as it can be. Except this time, I don't have non-stop bleeding than my previous one. This time, my face is swollen and on the second day, my neck was also swollen. I wonder why my neck is also swollen. The swolleness cause pain and uncomfortableness. I keep rubbing my face with ice pack and "hot egg" to reduce the swelling. Well back to work tomorrow, don't think I can talk too much though...
I must thank God that there is no bleeding like before, otherwise will be another terrible time...Well, I'm glad all 2 stubborn/troublesome wisdom teeth are out....don't have to worry about it anymore...phew!
One the other hand, we had a very successful Carnival last Saturday. We sold all porridges and almost all omelet. Was tiring but was a good experience. The weather was good, though it rain heavily in the wee hours of the morning, the rest of the day was cooling....

Why don't write...
One of my friends ask me how come I don't write much on my blog. I must confess that one of the reasons is because I realize writing blogs can be risky. I realize many people don't really care what they write, they write to please themselves and it makes no difference even if they would offend or hurt others in their blogs. It's a very bad attitude, shows lack of respect of others and definitely an influence from our own local media. It's also very un-Christian of a lot of people of just writing their hearts out. It's scary to me, I asks myself I am a bit backward for thinking like that but my conclusion is "no".
It's also sometimes pretty embarassing to read things written over the internet, people write about their personal life and have no problems that it is being known to the whole world (over the internet). Am I backward? I don't think so...
Perhaps as I grow older, I am becoming more private so the expressive society that we lived in really frightens me. I do believe that we must hold on to the values that has been passed down to us by our parents, so I don't think I am backward at all...
So that's why, I don't blog much these days....still prefer to just call and chat...

It's Here!
Sasha and I are both so happy that our new Proton Saga finally came after 7 weeks of waiting. It's silver. Had to say goodbye to our old car, by that time...the aircond was out and the battery had died. So glad we decided to change the car. Actually we didn't have much choice but to change the car.
In my mind, I wanted to change the car towards the end of the year when we have completed paying one of our financial commitments. But had to bring that decision ahead of time. I believed that in a lot of ways, we (especially me) needed to trust God to provide for us. I had different times when the Lord dealt with the way I dealt with finance. Learning to let go and trust God to provide is not easy at all. But I am learning to let go and let God handle...

Falling apart!
My current 18 year old Proton Saga car is falling apart. In the past one year, we average between RM200-300 every month to fix the car:
I feel sad to need to depart from our car, it's actually a nice car to drive if it was not all the fixing (considering the age). The body of the car is also more solid compare to the new proton saga. What to do, need to part with the old so that the new can come in.
- shock absorber
- 2 driver shaft
- air-cond belt
- a crashed bumper
- 4 new tires

Blessed Easter
Blessed Easter...
Just came back from a 3 days Easter Presentation by Calvary. This is my first Easter presentation since we came back from Russia. It's been such a blessed presentation to me. Also a time to serve again at the presentation. I'm been so touched by different aspects of the presentation. But one song that we sang touched me most..."Amazing Grace (My chains are gone). Part of the lyrics of the song ....
My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace
reminded me of how much Jesus's death on the cross has indeed all the chains that held us and His mercy is like a flood...neverending. Can you imagine, a God who came because of love and His mercy is still flowing...till eternity.
You must listen to the song and let it minister to you....

rain, rain, rain
Rain, rain, rain and rain....hmmmnnnn why is it raining so much at this time of the year? Guess is the change in the weather. We really have some weird weather these days. Do you like rain? Guess not and perhaps yes... Actually I don't mind the rain so long as I don't get wet. It's actually really nice to rain in the evenings...this means can have a good nite rest without fan or air-cond and yes no mosquitoes...
Actually the cool weather in the evenings reminds me of spring in Russia. Definitely it is colder there and more water there as a result of the melting of heavy snow from winter. Wet and cool as it may be, i remember it's a time we can look forward to especially to plow the land to plant potatoes and vegetables...it's really nice to see flowers blooming again and hear birds chipping and singing away. Well that's in Russia.
Here in Malaysia, it's rain, rain, rain and flood....that's not good at all. But well, it's still part of God's creation for us to give thanks...
