If you do make a project, please remember to let me know so I can share with everyone here on the blog!

sketch

I haven't done a sketch here in quite a while. I was approached by Mélissa Malebranche a Creating Keepsakes reader this week for the sketch of my Apple Picking page in the October 2010 issue page 73. It was so nice of her to contact me and of course I wanted to share with her. I whipped the sketch and thought, why not share with my blog readers as well?

Here's the sketch:

And for those who love my free digital cut files...here is the Tree in the back ground too. Most of it was covered by the crepe paper leaves but I thought it might be useful for a spooky Halloween page too!

Don't forget about the new Jennifer McGuire Book giveaway! You have until Sunday at midnight to enter!

Free Friday #25

Another week of me not posting anything until Friday! I have a good excuse this time. I was in Kansas City part of the week. I got to see my friend Rebecca Cross the owner of Pink Paislee. She is an amazing, creative person with boundless energy and enthusiasm. I love getting to know people to have as much passion for the industry as I do.

It is now October and the official beginning of Halloween season at the Lamb House. I promised the kids we get out the decorations this weekend. It is one of their favorite things to do!

If you are ready to make some great Halloween crafts, make sure to check out the SpookCraftular Halloween event at TwoPeas beginning on Monday. You never know who you will see or what freebies you may find during the month...hint. hint.

Today's free file is a PUMPKIN!

It feel like Fall here in Ohio. We have our homecoming parade and game tonight. One of the best Friday nights of the season!

Today was my turn to post on the Work In Progress Blog. Each of the design team members are taking turns sharing their creative spaces. Hope on over to see mine!

Today I created a little Fall embellishment for you! The file has three shapes, you can one or all depending on your project.

Have a wonderful fall weekend!

First I wanted to be sure to share the new Dienamics I designed for Kim at My Favorite Things Stamps. If you enjoy traditional steel plate die cutting, this is the product for you. Made like Quickutz dies, these wafer thin dies pack a lot of punch. They can even punch through felt!
Die-namics Flower Trio & Leaf Trio

Die-namics Small Scallop Border

There are tons more designs in the works for this fall! Make sure to stop by the MFT blog to see the amazing cards created by the design team!

Today's free file is a welded word title...

The file is actual 3 separate shapes so that you can move them around, stack and scale however you please.

Enjoy your last days of summer!

Recognize any of these cute little die cuts??? Many of them are from my TwoPeas Digital Diecuts! I love this page Nicole made. Could it be any brighter or clever?

Garden Girl Nicole Magorik has been conducting a year long FREE class Making the Most of Your Die Cut Machines. This month she is concentrating on using Digital Cuts from the TwoPeas shop. Nicole uses the Silhouette machine, but this class can be beneficial for all. Make sure to stop by and take the monthly lessons, visit Nicole's blog and jump in on the monthly challenge. (There are prizes to be won!)

I have been swamped with work since returning from CHA. I've been working on a 3rd card design for the eCraft. (My best and cutest - it includes layered elements!) The machines are finally arriving in stores. I am going to be receiving one soon. As soon as I do, I will be sharing projects and tips.

Today's Free Friday is a simple Flower Silhouette. I think this would look great on cards or pages.

The kids are back to school in less than three weeks. I have so many projects I want to tackle, so many new ideas for pages and projects. My mind is overflowing with ideas...I just need the time to tackle them! I hate to see summer leave but I cannot wait for all the time to create! Anyone else itching for the school year schedule to begin?

Free Friday #18

I am off the Craft and Hobby Show in Chicago all  next week so things will be quiet on the blog. (or not!, you may want to stop by Monday!) This is my first opportunity to attend the show. To say that I am excited is putting it lightly! I cannot wait to see all of the new products and trends in the industry. It will also be my first opportunity to see the eCraft operate and have the chance to view my new cartridges! I am hoping to meet many new people and expand my opportunities as a graphic designer in the craft industry. (And I just want to drool over the new products!) I will post show photos as soon as I get back.

As promised...a new free cutting file. I had to whip up some cards at work and came up with this little cutie...

Have a great weekend! See you when I get back.

Free Friday #16

Ok. I'm up now and ready to go. Working from home and watching the kiddos has been a challenge this summer. We are having way too much fun and I am not finding too much time to scrapbook. I did manage to squeeze this one last week.

As promised...today's free file is a Loopy Ribbon!

Have a great weekend!

Free Friday #15

Today is a very happy day! I found out that I am 100% going to summer CHA in July. I have dreamed of attending for years and now it is finally happening!!! I'm more excited about this than the trip to Disney!

Today's freebie is a simple little star. I use star on my layout all the time. This will come in handy for all those summer sporting events.

Have a great weekend!

Free Friday #14

You thought I was going to lame out once again...wrong! I am finally able to say I got my act together this week. I'm so organized I may even scrapbook this weekend. Gasp. It's been a fun first week out of school for the kids. They have been to the library a couple of times for summer programs, saw Shrek 4 and Prince of Persia, pool, playground, lots of baseball. Wow - all in one week. Tonight the little guys and I stopped at this new junk store called 5 Below. Everything in it is five bucks or less. FOURTY dollars later we left with 16 packs of Lego Mini figures, two packs of GoGos, 24 pieces of candy, one ring, one bracelet and two energy drinks from me.They are not getting all of this loot in one night. Three figures a piece for today. The rest is bride bait for doing summer homework!

Have you seen these new packs of  Lego Mini figures? My boys have been going crazy waiting for them to come out. Sometimes they try and convince me to buy a $40 Lego set just to get the figures inside. Lego does a great job of marketing to my children by sending them a free "magazine" each month...full of ads for new toys. I'm not much better. I love Legos too. It's one of the few toys I don't mind spending hours playing with. (This mom does not play Pokemon.) As soon as they saw these, they went nuts. There 16 figures in all to collect. The problem is, they are packaged so that you can't see what you are getting. It's like baseball cards. You keep buying until you get all the one you want. We did pretty good. Out of 6 packages we opened, we only have one duplicate. The Clown. If anyone wants to swap for a clown, let me know. I may be able to swing a bargain with Cooper.

Here is your free cutting file for today...Double Scallop Border!

one of my readers was having a hard time getting DXF to work in her Pazzles, try the AI file instead!

Leave me some comments! Just to see if anyone is still reading this blog after I have neglected it so much in May! Have a great weekend!

Free Friday #12

Make sure to stop by the Work In Progress Blog today. You can see my post on Disney and check out the new blog design!

I had a hard time coming up with a new shape this week...I'm a little overcooked this week. I found this in my library and figured it was a shape everyone could use at one time or another in their life. My preview shows pink but you could of course cut this from any paper to show support of any cause.

Have a great weekend!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

I hope you are spending it with friends or family at a crop or scrapbook shopping! If you are close to a television today, be sure to watch HSN for some scrapbooking specials. 3Birds has some new products airing at 6-7am, 11-12am, 4-5pm and 8-9pm.

Today's freebie is a cute little ladybug. Why should butterflies get all the attention these days?!?
Please note that in the cutting file I left the little antennas off. They are simply too delicate to cut. I would suggest creating them yourself with a pen, stitching or some other creative means for adding detail.

Free Friday #11

Friday is here again. Two new sets were released at TwoPeas this week...Six frames plus outlines for only $4! It is a bargain if you think of how many ways they could be used over and over again!

Here is another frame shape for you today. I used this shape for this page using the April Mosh Posh kit.

For Silhouette Users...I for the life of me cannot get RoboMaster to convert my file to GSD. It could be a problem with the DXF. If I do get it figured out, I will add it to the link list. Sorry...

This is why I love diecutting + Free Friday #10

Who cares if they don't make Ghostbusters paper? With my diecutter I can make anything I need! I made this double pager about the boys and their really cool G.busters costumes for this past Halloween. The yellow hazzard lines and the Ghostbusters logo were cut on my Cricut. The little symbols on the top were printed off of my inkjet and matted with a circle punch.

New items were added to my shop at TwoPeas this week. If you love frame shapes, check out Set#2.

This week's freebie file is a Flower Frame. Have fun creating!
Please remember...These files may not be uploaded to a group, forum or website for sale or redistribution, or shared among individuals. They are expressly for the personal use of each person that downloads them from this blog.
Keep it nice so I can keep being nice to you! :)

Have a great weekend!

ETA... Connie asked how to save and use GSD files for her Silhouette.

1. Create a new folder on your PC called GSD downloads or something similar. Download my GSD file to that folder.
2. Launch your Silhouette software. Under FILE find the "Open..." Simply move through your PC folders until you find where you downloaded the GSD file. Once you see the file click on it to open.

Free Friday #9

I'm off work today and getting caught up on some freelance projects. The kiddos are going out to lunch with Grandma, so it should be a semi-productive day. I am dying to go down in my scrap room and make some pages just for me. Hopefully I will find some time this weekend for myself.

I made this two-pager a few weeks ago. I love the color palette in the Bella Blvd. Super Stud collection. It was the perfect collection for pages about the boys' latest obsession Gogos Crazy Bones. If you haven't seen these little plastic toys, you soon will. All the kids at our elementary school are nuts about them. We have invested a small fortune into our collection.

Today's freebie is a cute little bookplate. Hope you find it useful too!

Banners!

Today was my turn to post at the Mosh Posh Blog! I shared my love for all things related to banners...

Do you love those little Jenni Bowlin Banner stickers? I do too! When I used them on my pages, I felt they needed a little mat or border to help them pop off the background.

I made a quick little triangle shape to cut on my Cricut so I wouldn't have to handcut and they would all be uniform in size. It made putting these banner accents together so much easier!

Here are the downloads for you to try too. Just make sure not to resize the SVG or GSD when you open so that they are the correct size (.7W x 1.12H) for framing the stickers. You will have to resize the DXF, just make sure to keep the aspect ratio the same.

Hope you enjoy!

Free Friday - Monkey Love

I am back again today with a cute file for all you die cut lovers! Cuts with small details can be frustrating, so remember to give my monkey some love - don't try to cut him too small or you will be disappointed. The file has 2 cuts included -  a top and bottom layer. I haven't tried to cut flocked paper in awhile but wouldn't he be cute cut from brown fuzzy paper?

Please remember...These files may not be uploaded to a group, forum or website for sale or redistribution, or shared among individuals. They are expressly for the personal use of each person that downloads them from this blog.
Keep it nice so I can keep being nice to you! :)

Thanks for stopping by! It was great to get so many nice emails and comments from new blog friends last week. If anyone ever has a question, please feel free to email me or leave a comment below. I would love to help with any Die Cutting, Drawing or Scrapbooking questions you have. And yes. I still scrapbook. A lot! I have many new projects that I can't share just yet. :) New pages will be up after the weekend.

For those who bothered to read this far down...Don't forget to stop by on Tuesday! I will be having a BIG giveaway in honor of my release at TwoPeas!
