Merry Christmas!! I bet you thought I was dead....

I'm not dead, I just work 50 hours a week and have seem to have forgotten how to blog. But I did want to show you all that we do still exist and we had a wonderful Christmas! We talked Santa into covering the girls presents with blankets so that they couldn't peek. It worked out very well! We let them open their stockings and their gift from Santa before church and then the rest after. We took naps and then went to Grandmas to play games and hang out. The consensus is that Christmas was a success!!

By way of update (since I'm already here), We are doing well. Emerson's classes are going great! He is working hard and his grades reflect that. Ada is becoming a spectacular reader and just finished her first season of cheer leading. Chase is talking like a 4 year old and is almost potty trained (all thanks to Daddy, my hero!)

We truly are blessed! We have such great and supportive family and friends. We have a wonderful ward and so many opportunities to share our joy in the gospel. May the Lord bless you all this year!

We are going to ROCK 2012!!!!

Ada's fashion show

Ada decided to have a fashion show for us after church. She has some "interesting" poses for sure! Pay no attention to the fact that there is a garbage can in all of the pictures, Emerson was restringing his guitar and I was going through the newspaper. She can be a total crack up! She was her own MC and even told us when to clap, it was all very organized. It was fun until she shoved all of the clothes under the couch when she was done and I didn't find them for three days!

The many faces of Chase

This girl can give a SERIOUS stink eye!

Not to make y'all to jealous, but I took this video on January 15th. As you can tell it was a lovely day! And no, I wasn't making faces or anything like that. She was just having a good time. I love that laugh!

And then Emerson got older. I would have taken more pictures but it was late and we were trying to open presents quickly so the girls could get to bed. And yes, that is a bag of firewood, it was for our fire pit, along with the fixins for smores, yum.

We met the Clauses, on separate occasions. Chase wouldn't even go near Mrs. Clause. And was not happy that we were trying to get her to sit on Santa's lap. Ada (the scaredy cat) has never even thought twice about sitting on his lap. But Chase (the daredevil ) was petrified, weird.

Christmas

These are the only pictures I took with my camera on Christmas, I videoed the rest. And let me tell you it is spectacular , quality video for sure.

I admit it....

I am...lazy, there I said it. I have been trying harder to be more productive, but some days I really just want to sit on the couch and read or look at what everyone else has to say on their blogs rather than taking the time and energy to post on my own. But I'm working on it, the being lazy thing. For the past two weeks I have exercised consistently and I have gotten a "project" done every day. Some days that project is just decluttering or doing research or taking care of finances, but as long as I know I have accomlished something, I feel a little bit better. I am looking for a full time job so that Em can go back to school this summer. When we moved down here we honestly thought that we were making a move to better our financial situation...not the case. Emerson took a pay cut and I have yet to find a job. So needless to say we are uncomfortable. And the only way that we are motivated to change is by being uncomfortable. So we are changing and praying with all our hearts that this is the right change for us. So now I'm going to go get my project done for the day, and it includes plugging in my camera so y'all can see some awesome (I use that term loosely) pictures!

The Holidays are upon us!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. It was about 65 degrees and sunny and we had a great time with family and some yummy food! After we cleaned everything up we busted out the glue guns and the girls made wreaths. I know mine is simple but I think it turned out well! Friday morning Jamie and I braved the cold (it was 38 degrees when we got to the store) and did a little Black Friday shopping. We got PJ's for $5! We are totally decorated, after some experimentation with a glue gun and stucco we finally got our lights up and we are loving it! I'm almost done with shopping and by the end of this week I will hopefully be done with the homemade ones too :) The girls and I are going to Utah for a quick trip in 2 weeks and it'll be nice to see the snow and then come back home to the warm! 26 Days , are y'all ready?

Sesame Street: Will.i.am's Song "What I Am"

Oh man I love this song! I want to use it as my ringtone. How much more awesome could he be??
