Magnolia-Licious Inspiration Challenge!

Morning! Today at Magnolia-Licious, we have an Inspiration challenge! This week we are focusing on a photo with lots of ideas for a great challenge! I decided to use the color purple and red from the inspiration to make my card. Normally I wouldn't use these two color together, but I really like the color combo now! I used this Tilda stamp from the Autumn Collection 2010, which sold out, but there's a carousel horse from the collection that is PERFECT for this challenge!

This card is not my norm, but that's what a challenge is all about. Plus, since my mojo is still missing, I thought trying a different style would be fun, and let me tell you IT WAS! I might do more of these frilly vintage type cards. :D

Magnolia-Licious Color Challenge

Hi there! Today I have a card for Magnolia-Licious Color Challenge. This color challenge is pink & green, perfect for Easter and spring cards! I used one of the brand new Tilda mini stamps, which was sooooo much fun to color. You can use these mini stamps for smaller cards, tags, or build-your-own multiple Tilda scenes. I like them because they give you more room to decorate your cards. Sometimes you don't want a card to be entirely the image, so these mini stamps are perfect for those occasions!

I used all Prismacolor pencils this time to color this cute little tilda. Believe me it was a challenge. I think I'm going back to mixed media for sure, lol! Visit the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog to see the rest of the DT's creations!!!

EASTER-SPRING EXTRAVAGANZA Blog Hop!

 Hello! Thanks for stopping by for Magnolia-licious BIG Easter/Spring Blog Hop! The DT's are doing one fantastic job at inspiring you ladies, sprucing up wonderful ideas for the spring. Magnolia-Licious Challenge Blog

Morning! Today Magnolia-Licious is starting a new challenge blog, and I was invited to join the DT. (Yep, this will be my final DT, that's all I can handle.lol). I'm super excited to be joining the owner, Diana (she also created ScorPal!) and her team of designers. You all know how much I love Magnolias, and I have a huge collection...so joining the DT was the perfect timing. This stamp is "Tilda in Windy Weather". She's sold out at the moment, but you can find other gorgeous Cozy Autumn stamps at Magnolia-Licious.

So with this new challenge blog, the challenges will run the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. You get two whole weeks to finish the challenges! This week is a Color Challenge of  PINK/YELLOW.  Diana will give away a $25 gift certificate to one random winner, so participate and you might win!

Miss You

Hi everyone. Today  I made a "Miss You" card using Magnolia Tilda with 3 Flowers stamp. I don't have Copic combos this time because I colored her up awhile back, and just got a chance to make the card today. It was one of the images that I dabbled here and there for a long time. As usual shading is done with Prisma Pencils, and the yellow background is done with chalk.

The paper is Die Cuts with a View. Flower is by Wild Orchid Designs, and the butterflies are from the Martha Stewart three butterflies punch. The "Miss You" button is by American Crafts. Okay, I'll be back later this week with more. :)

Flower Girl

Tilda would make a very cute flowergirl. I colored her according to the color of my wedding, Heather/violet-blue. I colored her with Copics on X-Press It Blending paper, and shaded her with Prisma pencils. The background is done with chalk. I colored her last night while watching "American Pickers" on TV, so no video. ;)

Thanks for your honest answers yesterday. I saw those images and I knew I have to color it! Why? It's different, and will be challenging. And yes I think they will draw a niche audience, just like Magnolias, right? :D
