An introduction and a challenge!

Happy March, everyone! It's snowing here. SNOWING! This is South Carolina. It is not supposed to be snowing in March!
Ah well. We played outside in the snow this morning. What fun.

I totally meant to have this introduction posted yesterday, woops! It's been a bit of a nut house around here! But this month i'm going to be featuring some of my illustrators for Paper Makeup Stamps. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my illustrators! They are fabulous.
First i gotta start with my girl, Diem! She's the illustrator of the fabulous Beautiful Day Fairies! She rocks my socks off! And she so gets what I want! I barely have to mention the next fairy i have an idea for and she's already in my head! It truly is wonderful to have someone that you click with to work with!

Here she is...

Hi everyone! My name is Diem Bach Pascarella, and I currently reside in Irvine, California where I live with my husband, Nick in a small condo.

Since I was little, I always loved drawing and creating new things. I was inspired by Japanese animation and comics quite early, and it has influenced my style to this very day. Originally, I was planning to become a graphic designer, but I also wanted to draw from my imagination. I graduated from California State University, Long Beach at the end of 2008 with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Illustration, a Minor in Sociology and a Certificate in Biomedical Art. Since then, I’ve been freelancing. I dream about making my own children’s books, a stationary and sticker company, and drawing for the medical industry.

Aside from art, I have a strong interest in Asian ball-jointed dolls and cooking as well as video games.

Please go check out some of her fantastic work! In fact - that is your challenge for this week! Go to one of Diem's sites and find something to inspire you! Now, i know inspiration challenges can be tricky. My advice is to go to here to one of Diem's gallerys and pick a painting or illustration that you like. Use those colors on a card. Easy enough, right? I think so. :)

I've still got to work on my own... i was too busy playing in the snow. hehe. I will upload mine in a bit!

Link your work here!

And if you upload to a gallery, please use PMSIC1 so we can see all of our stuff together!
