frog pattern

Hi my friends.
Thanks for all your sweet comments on my last post :)
So many of you asked for the froggy pattern - so here it comes. :)
I used alpacca wool "mirasol" from Du Store Alpakka for my green frog, and just some baby-wool for the pink frog.
So without forther ado:

Amigurumi Crochet FROG
BODY
start off with ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch; place a marker to indicate beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is
completed.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around - 12 sc.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc; rep from * around - 18 sc.
Rnd 4: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc; rep from * around - 24 sc.
Rnd 5: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc; rep from * around - 30 sc.
Rnd 6: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc; rep from * around - 36 sc.
Rnd 7: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc; rep from * around - 42 sc.
Rnds 8-17: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 18: *Sc2tog, sc in next 5 sc; rep from * around - 36 sc.
Rnd 19: *Sc2tog, sc in next 4 sc; rep from * around - 30 sc.
Rnd 20: *Sc2tog, sc in next 3 sc; rep from * around - 24 sc.
Rnd 21: *Sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc; rep from * around - 18 sc.
Rnd 22: *Sc2tog, sc in next sc; rep from * around - 12 sc. Stuff piece.
Rnd 23: (Sc2tog) around - 6 sc.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Weave tail through last rnd and gather tightly. Knot to secure.
EYES (make 2)
With white, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch; place a marker to indicate beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is
completed.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around - 12 sc.
Rnds 3 and 4: Sc in each sc around.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
Arms and Legs
Join yarn to Body with sl st and ch 10.
Work (sl st, ch 5, sl st, ch 3, sl st) in 4th ch from hook.
Fasten off.
With black yarn embroider a French knot on each Eye. With red yarn embroider a straight stitch smile. Sew
Eyes to Body. Weave in ends.

STITCH EXPLANATION:
sc2tog (sc decrease) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and
draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook.

NOTES:
Work in continuous rnds; do not join or turn unless otherwise instructed.
You can make the frog any size you like, just stop increasing, or increase more rounds to make your frog the size you like.

*edited*
for my norwegian friends:
Jeg har desverre ikke mulighet til å oversette hele oppskriften, men denne bør være veldig enkel ;)
hele frosken er heklet med fastmasker.
ch = kjedemasker
sc = maske
rnd = runde
2 sc in next sc = hekle 2 masker i neste maske (legg ut 1)
sc2tog= ta sammen to masker.
:)
VOILA!

have a great week!

Happy Easter! :)

Hi my friends.
Hope you've all had a wonderful spring-break and a happy easter.
I have been out of town this week - just relaxing - meeting friends and family, enjoying the holidays. Could it be better??
Here are some pics of MY easter. Crocheting, oranges, quis on the radio, snow, sun, skiing...
Just started this NEW project inspired by my super-awesome friend Tove. I love to make stuff and when I'm not at home, knitting and crocheting are some of my faves. So when Tove showed me a super-beautiful woolen blanket she made I was hooked. ;) She even shared how she made it on her blog. (for those of you who read norwegian ;) )

Let it snow

Seems like the snow decided to leav Oslo before christmas this year ..... but NO worries!! I'll make my own ;) LOL If you like crocheting read on. ;)
To make one of these snowflakes I used white alpacca wool (mirasol by Du Store Alpakka) and hook (european) # 3,5

rnd 1: ch 1 work 12 sc in ring, join with sl st to beg sc
rnd 2: ch 3, work ( 1 dc in next sc ) 3 times, ( ch 12, work 1 dc in each of next 4 sc ) 5 times, ch 12, join with sl st to top of beg ch-3
rnd 3: work 1 sl st in each of the next 3 dc and into first 6 ch of the 12lp, ch 3, work 2 dc, ch 3, and 3dc, ( ch 7, in next ch-12lp work 3dc, ch 3, and 3dc) 5 times, ch 7, join with sl st to top of beg ch-3.
rnd 4: sl st in each of next 2dc and into ch-3lp, ch 3, 2 dc, * ch 5, sl st in 5th ch from hook, ch 7, sl st in 7th ch from hook, ch 5 sl st in 5th ch from hook, sl st in top of last dc made, - picot made - ch 1 in same ch-3 lp, work 3 dc, ch 3, in next ch-7 lp work sc, ch 3, sc, ch 5 sc, ch3**, 3 dc in next ch-3 lp, repeat from * around. End last rep at **. Join with sl st to top of beg ch-3. fasten off.

Now you have one large, cozy snowflake. I made alot of those. When I reached the amount of snowflakes I wanted I put them all in my washing machine with a tablecloth ( to felt more) washed at 40 degrees celcius ( normal program - not wool-program!!)
shape the snowflakes while wet. You can pin the snowflake in a symetrical shape ( use plastic foam under the snowflake ) if you prefer - remove pins when dry.
I just pulled my snowflake into shape and let it dry flat.
Add a little silver-tread to make it possible to hang in the christmas tree.
I sewed glass-beads to all the 6 points of the snowflake.

voila!

And happy white christmas to all of you!
