Handmade wedding invitations

This is the reason I love my job so much  (as well as having a warm and cosy craft room at home so not having to venture outside when the weather is lousy) but I get to play weddings and meet the nicest couples/brides and bridesmaids/families and they like my work enough to let me have one of the main roles in their weddings. I feel completely honoured to be lucky enough to make the stationery for them :)

I would like to add at this stage that we, Party Nights Creations have a sale on at the moment. If you order your day and/or evening invitations during the month of December you will receive a discount of 10% as seen in Wedding Ideas.

I had another invitation order collected on Wednesday morning and another happy bride, thank you Catherine.

I made a seating plan, guest book and favours with name tags for the wedding on Saturday for Sue and Paul
and some more Thank You cards for Judith and Howard
and I also made some cards for the new Kathy's Waffle challenge which goes live tomorrow.
Thanks for dropping by and I'll see you later.

Sunday!!!

It's ok, I do know it's Tuesday but I'm up to Sunday with my posts so I'm getting there :) as I showed the card yesterday which was made for the couple who got married on Saturday I thought I'd show the stuff I made as part of the wedding package.

This photo isn't brilliant but I couldn't go and take another as one of the hotel banqueting staff took them for me and they don't stand out very well on the table. The name labels are attached to small organza bags which contain two heart shaped chocolate in ivory foils and they can then be used as place cards.
Thanks for dropping by :) xx

50th Birthday

Not sure who has stolen the sunshine but I should have known it would be cloudy as I am off work today and tomorrow lol

I hope the Easter bunny has been kind to you and brought you lots of chocolate!

For the last couple of days I have been busy making bits and bobs for a 50th birthday. The birthday girl just happened to be my sister and her birthday is actually tomorrow but the party is this evening.....I finally finished at about 11 this morning lol. As well as the pictures below I have made 3 A2 boards, two with photos and one with 'remember when' captions and pictures. I haven't photographed those yet but will do so tonight when they are in situ.

Papers - Craftwork Cards and Funky Hand
Stamps - Stampin Up wheel and Stampendous bodice
Sentiments - Craftwork Cards
Everything else from my stock

Happy Easter, see you tomorrow.

My crafty week

As well as working on an assortment of DT cards this week I have manage to take a couple of wedding orders, finish one off for tomorrow and make a couple of samples which had been requested. I've also been making for the shop and trying to sort out and utilise my shop storage better. When I moved a lot of stock from here all we did was  take everything round in the relevent drawers and units and put them in place. I need to try to set aside some time to sort all my stuff out and chuck away what isn't going to get used.....I really could do with a 36 hour day lol

So onto more makes for this week

Thanks for looking :)

Seating plans

The week started brilliantly on Monday morning as I booked two local wedding fayres for October. I will do one and my mum and dad are going to do the other one for me.....it keeps them out of mischief and gives them something to do lol I'm tearing ahead with orders which have been collected so I'm dead chuffed with myself.

I've got two weddings at the same venue this weekend so have finished all the stationery. I really love my work and have met some of the nicest people ever. I've not had one bridezilla, they have all been gems. I did, however, have the most obnoxious, arrogant groom I have ever come across about 18 months ago! He was really horrid and his girlfriend was lovely and very embarrassed......the good news on that one is that I've never seen them since as they are not local. I couldn't figure out why on earth she was marrying him lol

Anyway, I digress, back to the seating plans etc

I really must think about getting a tripod for my camera. I have a back problem and lean slightly to the left so consequently I tend to take slightly wonky photos! Generally I can retake them once I've had a look but this one was actually collected before I had a look at the pics.

Right, this time I really am going to make tea, byeee :)

And the rest!

The following were made for a wedding on Saturday and were collected last night
.
60 place cards
a guest book
a seating plan

seating plan for a wedding on 19th September

10 baby thank you cards which supplemented the order for 60 I made in July!

I also managed to sit out in the garden for an hour at lunch time when my friend came during her luch hour AND I went to the Range too. I couldn't keep that up every day LOL Apart from the bit about sitting outside, I could cope with that every day and if it's as lovely tomorrow as it has been today then I'll be out there again tomorrow.

Tomorrow I need to make a
Christening card,
a wedding card,
start a baby album,
add some yellow feathers to a cerise fascinator (!),
make cards for DH's birthday on Saturday and DD2's birthday on Monday
and make a start on a seating plan for the 26th
DT card for Saturday

I also have two wedding fayres (20th and 27th) that I need to prepare for.

That's it from me tonight, take care and thanks for looking.

Wedding work

Two more orders finished and delivered this week which means two more happy brides :)

I now have a card, a money wallet and an album to make for the same customer, for her friends wedding, which I need to sort today and two cards for DH to take to work this weekend. The chances are that I will be back later with more work and I also have my Debbi Moore samples to blog about.

Take care :)
