Khador Conquest part: VI

AH all finished, With this completed I have reached over my goal of 50 points of Khador for the year tho I do still have a few more pieces stashed away in case I get the urge to paint something for the army.

Any way I went light on the highlighting for the most part but tried to give it a little depth before  adding the weathering. For that I sponged on black and also boltgun metal. To top it off I used my stippeling brush to add some light brown weathering pigment made from some cheep artist's pastels. A lot of the brown was blown off when sealing the model but it was kinda heavy any way so it all worked out.

Khador Conquest part: V

This should be the last post before I finish this project up. It took a long time to get all the color on and paint all the rivets the only other model that is as bad or worse is the bainblade tank.  Still it is satisfying to get something so large painted.

Khador Conquest part: IV

Painting large models is certainly time consuming but hear is the bit of progress I have made recently I am up to the shade of red I like so I just need some highlights and the red will be done. Still lots to get finished  but a few more sessions and we should be all ready for the tabletop.

Khador Conquest part: III

I thought I should give any one who has not seen this model in person some prospective on how large the Khador Conquest is.

any way on to the actual painting pics.

As you can see I have not finished to much but between this and the landraider I am out of Khorne red so that will delay any real progress for a bit on both of them as my Mephiston red as also soon to give up the ghost. I may try painting the base up soon tho sense it is all white blue and gray

Building the Khador Conquest

I added in the Black Templar's for scale this thing is huge. At about 7" it is hard to call it a miniature.
It will make a great centerpiece for the army.

Unboxing the Khador Conquest

My wonderful wife got me this for Christmas. I have wanted this guy seance before I started playing warmachine because of how cool I thought it looked. Now I need to do the rather large amount clean up that this guy requires. If you have ever played with resin casting you will see a lot of little things on this that show that the molds were getting old when this one was poured.
