Always Friends Card

Hi everyone!

Ouuufff with the start of my new blog I've been quite MIA on here, thankfully I'm blessed with such a fabulous Design Team, my girls are doing a fabulous job running things oh so very smoothly here on the Posh blog hihihi :)

Today, was a very hectic day as the Design Team call ended just days ago, I was happy to receive many wonderful applications in my inbox it definitely was challenging to select our newest team members! There's a lot of talent out there in this crafty world of ours and that's awesome!!!

I have picked 6 new gals, so whoever that applied be on the lookout you might get an email from me pretty soon!!!

Also, just a reminder that there's only 5 days left to submit your entries to our sketch challenge! Hurry on if you wanna win yourself some Pink Cat Studio stamps!

Here's a little something I made, it's a standard 4 1/5 x 5 1/2" card.

I used a floral outline stamp to create a background pattern on the Kraft cardstock, using the Silhouette machine I cut out a couple of die cut pieces. Notice the Turquoise die cut, well I took a Woodgrain stamp and stamped it with Ranger's Perfect Medium and then dusted it with Gold Perfect Pearl to give it some interest. Here's a close up so you could see better!

I then stamped my sentiment onto the "label" which was created using the Craft Robo software (it's just a rounded rectangle going inwards instead) easy peasy to make! I wanted it to fit perfectly onto the Yellow die cut frame! Lastly, I just embellished until desired! Hope you've enjoyed today's project! Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas Card

Hey everyone,

hope you've all had a wonderful weekend!

I don't know about you, but I am in loooove with Kraft cardstock! Not only does it make a perfect base for cardmaking but it also adds that eco and raw feel to your paper crafting creations!

I made this card using a nice woodgrain background stamp to compliment my patterned pines. I also stamped snowflakes with VersaMark watermark ink and heat embossed it with Stampendous Opaque Embossing Powder in Detail White.

I then embellished; with a ribbon, bow and a square gem from Making Memories new Gem Collections. These kits are great, they are jam packed with gorgeous blings, pearls, and sequins of various shapes and sizes.

I then adhered my patterned pines, which were stamped onto cream cardstock and then cut off leaving a slight contour of "cream" around the edges.

For an eye catching effect I used 3D pop dots on only two trees and left the middle one glued flat out on the card.

Lastly, to finish it off; I stamped my sentiment and added stars which were stamped, cut and placed onto the tops of each tree!

I hope you've enjoyed today's quick & easy holiday card! Have a great week!

Hugs,

Nini :)

Peace, Joy & Love Card

Hi everyone! Hope you've all enjoyed the weekend so far, especially Thanksgiving weekend for our friends in the US!

Today, I've got a card made up totally by accident! I did in fact mess up my original plans for it, and sort of randomly came to this!

I really wanted to use this super rad looking cutting file (card_2277) pictured on the left from my Quickutz Silhouette digital library.

I had so many ideas storming through my head for the semi-circle part of the card and then I'm not sure what happened *wink, wink* but I ended up with this instead!

Sometimes, we make mistakes in the crafting world and at the end we sure find ways to fix them, right?! *hugs & kisses*

Revamped Christmas Card

Good Morning to you-all!!!

Today, I decided to try out something new, a Holiday card that's a little bit out of my "Seasonal" comfort zone. When I think of Christmas, I'd usually think of the traditional colors and patterns which we are most likely to use such as deep greens, reds, and golden tones.

The paper that I used for this card was taken from Cosmo Cricket's Jolly by Golly Paper Crafting Kit, if these sheets weren't labeled "Jolly by Golly", I would have never imagined to use these fun and funky colors for my upcoming Christmas projects!

So, I decided to ditch the traditional Christmas card and re-vamp it! I used a bold colorful striped patterned paper and accented it with black hearts instead of the typical Christmas ornaments; I then embellished the edges with faux stitching using Ranger Ink's Inkssentials White Pen, a Christmas-inspired chipboard sentiment and the finishing touch, a coordinating ribbon and voilà!

A non-traditional, clean and simple holiday card ready for gift giving!

Now, I challenge you to try and re-vamp this year's holiday crafting by trying out something different, I'm sure you'll be amazed by the results!

Hope you've enjoyed today's project, have a great weekend everyone!!!

Happy Holidays Card

Happy Halloween everyone!!! I hope you'll have a fun and safe time trick or treating with the wee ones or partying!!! :)

I was so inspired by the new stamps I received from my supplier so I just had to make a quick card with my favorite ones! Isn't the snowman adorable!!! He's a brand new release from Inkadinkadoo, I love the pen drawn look of it!!!

I haven't added any of the new stamps I received to the store but I did add new Cling Rubber Stamps from Stampendous and the Happy Holidays sentiment on my card comes from Inkadinkadoo's new set of Clear Mini Stamps, for a 1.99$ you get 6 super cute Holiday sentiments! I will also be getting the new November releases of CC. Designs stamps!!!

Thanks for reading and I'm looking forward to seeing your Holiday cards over at the Gallery!!!

Birthday Bash Card

Hey peeps!

We've got great news we now carry CC. Designs Rubber Stamps YAY!!! We placed our first small order for the store to just test them out, and OMG... it's final they are amazing!!! You can see what's in store by clicking here and just so you know we've got more of these babies comin' in so keep checkin' back, okay?!! :)

For this card, I used their Pixie Pets - Birthday Bash set, aren't these pups soooo darn cute!!! Notice the frosting explosion, well I used something out of my norm... Have you ever heard of Dong-A Popcorn pens??!!! To me it's like a mix of Flower Soft and Fabric Paint jumbled up together but with a more.... erm... Popcorn kinda look and feel to it, you can find these awesome pens at my favorite pen store. I'm sure the white pen would make a great "snow-like" effect for winter and holiday themed cards!

I also managed to squeeze in some of the colors for another Copic Color challenge, #35 required us to use at least one of the three colors shown below!

My first entry for a challenge!

Hey everyone!

Hope you've all enjoyed a yummy and fun filled Turkey Day! (it's Thanksgiving Day here in Canada)! Today, I've got a quick post to share with you before I submit this card to a challenge I found while surfing the net.

If you're addicted to Copic markers then you gotta get you're mojo going with this awesome blog called Copic Color Challenge where there's a new challenge posted every Wednesday!

I just completed my very first challenge I never participated to any online challenges except for a few of my own over at the forum hihihi but I had to give this one a try!

Challenge #34 required us to use at least one of these three colors: YG95, R39 & C-4 (which i didn't have so I used C-3 instead).

I'm pretty pleased with the results since I'm still fairly new to the whole Copic marker thingy! I hope to keep up with their challenges and work on my coloring you know me busy as a bee, I can hardly find time to sit at my scrap table these days!

Jack O' Lantern Treat Bag

Wow two posts in a week I'm on a roll! I just love Halloween, I won't be able to stop myself from making creepy crawly creations! As I mentioned in my previous post, this one's all about yummy treats! I made this super simple Jacko treat bag for my guests that are attending our small Halloween/Davian's birthday party, I still have a couple more to make!

Now, if you do not have a diecutting machine to cut your bag shape you can always look it up online, I found this great site with a nice variety of printable templates you can either print directly onto your cardstock or trace and then cut manually.

I'm trying to make these as simple as it gets given the number of guests I'll be having over, but you can always embellish to your hearts content! These cool mini alphabet stickers are all the rave these days, check 'em out over at the store they're from My Little Shoebox!

The evil looking pumpkin was a cut taken from my Quickutz library, and what I did was cut it twice first in black heavy weight cardstock from American Crafts and then again a second time with an orange sheet from their Earth Tones pack.

I then layered and then glued the whole piece onto my bag with pop dots. I finished it off by adding a shadowed-like effect to my diecut by coloring it in using various markers.

Hope you've enjoyed today's project, so fun and easy even the wee ones can do it! Until next time happy crafting!

Trick or Treat Card

Hey everyone!

This weekend I got the oppurtunity to squeeze in some crafting time and made this super simple Halloweeney themed card. I used a couple of sheets from Basic Grey's awesome line of Designer Cardstock to be specific I used a mix of Crisp and Optimistic. They are so fun to work with and you gotta love its grungy look and double-sided goodness! The base sheet I used to make the card is from Fancy Pants The Daily Grind kit which I had just laying around.

Although' I would have loved to add more elements, like some extra embellies, but hubby said it would only make it look too cluttered *lol* :) Who knows he might be right, eh!

So stay tuned for more Halloween ideas! :) Next, I'm thinking... Treat Bags *wink, wink*...

Have a great start to the week! ~ Nini

Homemade "Glimmer Mist" Recipe

Hey everyone!

Don't you just love these little bottles of bling....

But hate the hefty price tag that comes with it! If you're a frugal scrapper like myself then keep on reading!

I started making these little vials of joy almost as soon as my supplier brought in Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist products. I was tempted to get some for myself but quickly changed my mind because I only wanted one bottle in 3 or 4 different colors to test them out instead of paying the minimum wholesale order amount per bottle, yes I'm a cheapy!

So, below is what you'll need to make you own homemade glimmer mist!

Ingredients:

Ranger's Perfect Pearls
Ranger's Mini Misters
Water
Heatgun (optional just for drying)

Take your Mini Mister and add some water (don't fill it all the way up!) keep at least an inch free of water, then add some Perfect Pearl Powder, depending on how light or dark you want your mist to be! (try mixing and matching your powders for awesome color combos). You can also add a tiny drop of Ranger Reinker to kick things up a notch.

I made mine using Perfect Copper Powder and just a splash of water!

As you can see, you get lots of shimmery goodness! A little powder goes a long way!

After trying and loving this glimmer mist recipe I had completely forgotten about the original ones! Kristen, has been using them on her fab projects here and on the gallery so I figured I'd share my frugal alternative with you!

Hope you'll try this at home! *hugs*

C-E-L-E-B-R-A-T-I-O-N

Hey everyone! Hope you've had a wonderful day!

Today is my youngest brother's birthday! Frank and I, decided to get him the Wii Fit since he has always wanted one!!! I also made him a birthday card, which he really adored! I was so happy because it was my first "paper piecing" creation *lol* :)

I had been contemplating for a long time in wether I should or not get myself a Cricut. Instead, after much research and thinking I settled for Quickutz Silhouette SD machine!!! Which I am now totally in love with!!!

For this project I did things a little bit out of the norm *lol* I couldn't imagine myself cutting and re-cutting again and again the same shape while using 5 to 6 different colored cardstock and then piecing them up together it just seemed like an endless task for me! Unless, I'm getting it all wrong?! You would tell me right, as I'm still quite new to this... :)

Anyways, instead I went into my Quickutz library and selected the froggy images seen on my card and cut them only once on a sheet of white Prism cardstock. I then colored each piece using my Copic markers! I am quite pleased at the results especially since it almost looks like I colored in stamps instead! I found the whole coloring part a breeze especially for an impatient person like myself who doesn't own many solid colored cardstock *lol*...

I hope you have enjoyed today's card!!! Have a wonderful week everyone! Hugs,

Nini

Another great way for topping brads using the i-Top tool

Happy Monday!

Today I have a second layout of my boy at the Botanical Garden! I think I'll be scrapping a ton since hubby took like a trillion of photos that day!

The adorable little robot and monster die cuts were created using Making Memories new Design Card for the Slice called "Big Kids" and it's loaded with girlie and boyish graphics! So far, it's my favorite DC of them all!

Also, the word "BREAK" were made with alphabet stickers which I topped onto my plain 28mm brads, another great way to top your brads! I'm telling ya topping brads is beginning to turn into an addiction *lol*!

Have a great week everyone!

As promised... My topped brads!

Hey everyone!

How has your weekend been so far? It's a beautiful day here in Montreal, well too hot I might add... I just hate to go out when the weather gets like this, I prefer staying at home cool as a cucumber with the AC on *lol*

As promised I did say in my previous post that I would show you my latest creation using my all time favorite new tool... And yep you guessed it, it's the i-Top!

Below is a layout of my son, Davian who very much enjoyed his first time visit at the Botanical Garden... Well actually it was his second visit because the last time we went he was inside my belly!

For this project, I mostly used papers and embellies from Basic Grey's spankin' new June Bug collection, boy do I love this line! The colors and prints... mmm... so yummy!

If you notice the bracket shape in the middle well I painted and inked it using Heidi Swapp's Mega Masks, remember I included one in my last blog candy! Somebody's gonna be having loads of fun with these masks they are truly awesome!

Below are close up shots of my very own brads, I topped them using papers from the same line, how cool is that... To be honest I even forgot about opening my coordinating June Bug brads because all I could think about was "How will I top my next brad?!" *lol* :)

My hubby who's a real macho man adores the fact that I scrap to preserve our memories and also encourages and supports me with the online store but he never really had any interest in the products themselves until he saw me last night using my i-Top, he found the tool to be truly remarkable!

So if hubby likes it I bet you will too!

I hope you have enjoyed today's post! Have a safe and happy weekend everyone! Until next time hugs...

I can't top myself...

Hey bloggers!

What a week, on Wednesday afternoon I suddenly came down with a nasty cold which I caught from dear hubby *lol* I stayed in bed the whole time. Could barely keep anything in my tummy, the "hot" and "cold" body temp change was killing me.

So anyways, I was laying in bed on Friday barely able to move when hubby told me that a couple of orders for the store came in... I told him "ohhhhh I don't care leave me alone just let me sleep" but in my mind I was thinking "O to the M to the G the i-Tops must be here" and boy was I right!

I immediately took MY share of the orders! I was so excited it was like Xmas in July *lol* and to top it off I even felt healed, well not completely but felling much better hihihihi...

I was also surprised to see that the i-Top tool came with a bonus Demo DVD! The storage tote is so stinkin' cute in person! I had so much fun I just couldn't top myself from topping anything that seemed to be toppable!

This tool is a must have and coming from me, someone who's not much of a brad fan this tool is truly awesome and you best believe me! I can now create coordinating brads for my projects in just minutes! No more digging through my stash to find that perfect brad! To be honest I stopped digging I mostly forgot about them *lol*

I hope this small review will urge you to start topping!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Pink Cat Studio ~ Lilly Card

Hey Everyone!

Boy am I excited to have this entire long weekend all to myself and my crafts of course! Davian left earlier this evening to spend the weekend at granny's!

Soon after he left *lol* I got a chance to play around with my papers, stamps and markers! I came up with this birthday card for my friend! I hope she'll like it!

I used adorable stamps from Pink Cat Studio (email me if you'd like to order some), cardstock, ribbon and my trusty Copic markers! I'm fairly new to using these markers but with lots of practice I hope to improve someday *lol* :)

Mindy's Zoo ~ Basic Grey Lime Rickey Card

Hey bloggers!

Today I want to share with you a card I made using an adorable collection of clear stamps called Mindy's Zoo by Autumn Leaves' designed by Mindy Terasawa.

Last night right after watching the Grudge 3 (which was an okay movie by the way), I decided to play around with my Copic Markers and new stamps and then one thing led to another hihihi looked at the time and it was already 5 AM... Oh my gosh, I couldn't believe how 2 hours of crafting passed in a jiffy!!!

During my play time I created this card which sort of reminds me of Dreamwork's Madagascar movie! Thanks for looking!!! ~ Nini

Please click on the images for a full view!

Fun with Madeline...

Hey everyone!

I feel like I've been out of the blogging world for so long! That's what happens when you have a fabulous design team who takes over and keeps you-all entertained with their gorgeous projects!
Today, I want to share with you two pre-made layouts I created using K and Company's gorgeous "Madeline" collection! Actually, this was my first attempt in creating pre-made pages and I hope you'll enjoy these pages as much as I had fun creating them! All the products used were from the "Madeline" line which is selling quite fast so if you want 'em now you better stop by store and get them fast before their gone!

Here's my first layout titled "Dream" I didn't have a scalloped circle shaped page to match this line so I used a sheet from a another company and used it as a template! It didn't come out perfect *lol* which is why I inked the edges up a bit :) I punched holes and threaded a ribbon and bow-tied it at the bottom center of the page!

My second layout is titled "Love" hope you like it!

Here's what I used for both my projects:

Paper:

Embellishments:

Stickers & Rub-Ons:

Misc. Supplies (other than the Madeline line)

Tools:

  • We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile Punch (which you can contact me to order I haven't restocked since they sold out *lol*)
  • Pop Dots
  • Fiskars Scalloped Edge Punch for the first LOs matting frame

On a side note, I have access to thousands of supplies from top brands with that said not all the supplies are listed on the site so if you have specific items in mind please do not hesitate to contact me for a custom order!

Until next time! Happy Scrapping!

Hugs,
