I went for a beautiful run today. See the clouds? Moisture in the air. It makes running more fun! And do you see how fall is arriving? The trees are turning and leaves are beginning to blanket the trails.I hope you have a happy weekend. Thank you for visiting me here!

On My Run
My nephew has been here for most of August to run, logging some beautiful, hilly miles in preparation for his fall cross-country season at school. We've been running with behind him, pointing him in the right direction. It's really been great fun. I've tried to snap a few photos between gasps for breath: I do love running on the trails here. We'll try to keep it up, even after family leaves next week. Trying not to think about that - we'll miss them. Happy weekend to all of you.

Hiking in Telluride
Hi all! We're back home after a few terrific days hiking in breathtaking Telluride, CO.We loved our active getaway. My husband and I hiked thirty miles in three days, up and down 10,000 feet total. Our rewards were lots of solitude, phenomenal views, marmots and pikas, old cabins, wild flowers like crazy, and (of course) chocolate. We have Grandma, Grandpa and Auntie to thank for our sojourn; they whisked Eddie off to Disneyland for some magical days of their own. I may play with instagram and post a few more pics, just because it's fun! I hope you've had a beautiful week. I look forward to catching up. Have a great Friday!
update: we took photos 2-8 on this trail, 9-11 on this trail, and 1, 12-15 sort-of on this trail.

Nadine Sage
Happy Monday! Was the weekend good? Ours was relaxed, with only a few trips out of the home! We did visit a terrific art show in town and I found this lovely little decoupage glass tray made by Colorado Springs artist Nadine Sage...I'm so pleased with it, and I really liked Nadine too. We chatted for a bit; she told me she is originally from Prince Edward Island, hence the sweet seagull subject matter of my tray. Nadine has a beautiful website featuring her original papier collé artwork, her belt buckles and trays. Here are some of the works I loved:She also has a gorgeous blog that's right up my alley. Do go have a look!

On My Run
Happy new week to you. I took a photo of some aspens I passed while running the other day...It's so hot and dry here, but so pretty. Despite the lack of moisture, it's a good summer so far! I hope the same for you.

Camping
I love camping. These first pics are not mine, but I've been staring at them longingly since we arrived home and packed away our gear...
And that's how our trip felt to me. Those photos capture it. Plus a few of mine...
It's apparent that I love the idea of sitting by the fire with warm things to drink and eat. Eddie and Doug whittled and I watched. We had s'mores of course and played by the river. They rode bikes. It was simple and great.
I came home from our this little trip in the best mood, wanting to go right out again. We will do it again in less than two weeks and I am planning already. Can't wait.

The Past Few Weeks
I mentioned earlier that May was full, and I thought I'd post a few photos from our happy month...
We're starting our summer with a bang. I hope it continues to be this fun! Pics are: a view by the river, the arrival of my little sister's wedding invitation (!), the VW show in Denver, guest bedroom at my twin's home, beaded bug at DIA, Mt. Bierstadt from Guanella Pass, the Twister (we rode it!) and soft serve wearing mom's sunglasses at Elitch Gardens.
I hope you love the rest of your weekend.

June
Hello! May was very busy, in a good way. June came quickly and we're trying to catch up. The garden is a little unkempt, but I like it...I hope all of you are well - I haven't been able to visit much. We're off to enjoy the outdoors. I will be back soon!

Coyote
Happy Tuesday! This beautiful coyote visited our yard this morning. We hear the coyotes at night in the summer, but rarely see them. Especially in the neighborhood. He certainly was a healthy, fine one. I hope you are having a great day!
