Quilting Owl

I have spent a bit of time in front of the television over the last few days watching the final cricket test against India so there has been a revival in the construction industry here with six more little house blocks completed.  My block count now stands at 17.  Today we celebrated our National day and Peter and I spent a lovely warm tropical day lunching with friends.  When we got home we drew the winner of the giveaway - drumroll please!!!  The winner is Eylte of Tea, Fabric and other things.  Drop me an email Elyte with your address and I will send the Patchwork Directory and a few other goodies off to you. With all the distraction of the cyclone last week I didn't get the opportunity to celebrate my blog passing the milestone of  "100 Posts" and to organise a giveaway.  This journey into the world of blogging has been an amazing experience for me and I really appreciate all the new friends I have made both near and far.  Thank you for all the comments and emails that have resulted from these posts and I will look forward to receiving lots more. I have been pondering the question of what to offer as the giveaway and the answer came to me when I was making the latest block "Richmond" in Barbara Brackman's Civil War Quilt project.  I am having way too much fun making these blocks and look forward to Sunday when the new block appears on my computer. The Aboriginal design fabrics are very popular sellers at Cairns Craft Centre so I thought I would do a project featuring these wonderful fabrics.  We will be making up pattern kits for the shop which include the instructions and the Aboriginal design fabrics to make this bag.  I haven't decided on a name yet for the project - any suggestions?
