bag from a swimming suit

Majas swimming suit was out of elasticity - at least so much it would hang around her like a sack. I almost dumped it in the waste but then I thought whether I could turn it in to something else.

The easiest ever: Cut the bottom and sew one seam. Now it is a bag. Enough elastic left for it to be expandable so quite a few groceries can go in there.

Lamina

Last year for easter I participated in a ravelry group knitting egg warmers. Most participants designed an egg warmer - this is mine. The (free) pattern is available through ravelry (pattern name is Lamina).

Post-Ravelry blogging

I guess blogging will never be the same after ravelry has seen the light. But I have to show my new niddy-noddy, and let's face it - it is not a project as ravelry meant it. Besides, I didn't make it, my Jørgen did. I was pleasantly surprised when I got this for my birthday.
I throw in an extra picture of home-dyed roving, which I am making into yarn these days. I still see myself as a beginning spinner, but the yarn becomes more even and thinner than when I started.

Oh and other good news: I won yarn at Julia's blog.
That's why blogging still is a good thing.

Felicity

Like a lot of people, I made Felicity. My kind of hat. It's almost like a beret but with a very longstretched brim. This was made of thrifted yarn: I bought a bag of yarn for 45 kr. that's about 7 euro's - it turned out it all was 100% wool. It's not supersoft but soft enough for hats. I made a blank of it and dyed it with sugarflair fooddye. Afterwards I knitted from the blank.

destashing

It's still early in the new year, I am in a zen mood and have an overburdened shoulder, which means I can not knit. All of this leads to destashing.
In stead of 7, I have now 4 boxes with yarn. The rest of it will be for sale at the recycle shop.
