LOC #74 - tag or ATC

Hello Friends! This week's challenge over at Left of Center Challenges is to create a tag or ATC.  Of your you may always do anything goes as long as your item fits one of the LOC categories.

Our sponsor this week is Smeared Ink.  I've used one of the images from Danse Macabre which is an unmouted rubber set.

I started with a piece of chipboard and cut the two top corners off to make it a tag shape.  Next I covered it with white gesso.  I made sure to leave lots of texture.  Once that was dry I sprayed black spray over the Tim Holtz Cargo stencil.  Then I sprayed some blue and then green and then a more brighter blue.  I actually put my sprays away already but if you would like to know the actual colors leave me a message and I will let you know.  I stamped my dancing skeleton in black ink on white CS and fussy cut it out then attached to the tag.  I know the tag looks a little plain but I'm so in love with how the background turned out I didn't want to cover it up :)

What are you waiting for?!? Head over to LOC to see what amazing creations the DT have made and join in the fun.

31 Days of Halloween - Day 30

It's day 30 of the Smeared and Smudged 31 Days of Halloween blog Hop.  Please visit the Smeared and Smudged blog for the daily clues and all the rules to  qualify for prizes and to find out about the daily winners.

Today I have used an Demonic Babe from Simply B Stamps. She was offered as a FB freebie. Isn't she a beauty?! Sh'es no longer available as a freebie, but you can still get her in Betty's shop.  You should also join the  Simply B Stamps FB page so you don't miss out on any future challenges and freebies :)

I couldn't decide which picture I liked best so I'm posting my top 2 :)  The first one I like the colors better, but it looks a bit blurry. The second one is less blurry but the colors look faded. I really should do my crafting during daylight hours so I can take better pictures.

Next stop of the hop is Sandy.  If you get lost along the way the complete list of Wicked Bloggers can be found to the left in the side bar.

31 Days of Halloween - Day 26

It's day 26 of the Smeared and Smudged 31 Days of Halloween blog Hop.  Please visit the Smeared and Smudged blog for the daily clues and all the rules to  qualify for prizes and to find out about the daily winners.

Today I have mad a tag using Edgar from the Octopode Factory. I've colored him with pencils and cut him out to place on my that that I have embossed with a bingo folder. I rubbed a purple ink pad (altho you can't tell in the picture) over most of the design and orange over the 31. I also stamped some bats from MFT and added them.

I can't believe that the month has gone so fast, only a few more days left of the hop.  Thanks again for stopping by, your wonderful comments encourage me thru all of my late night stamping :)

Smudgefest Day 6 - Saturday Splatter

Only a couple more days of Smudgefest 2014 at Smeared and Smudged :(  Today's challenge is Saturday Splatter - we get to have some messy fun!  I've been pretty messy all week long and it's been so awesome!

For this project I started with a piece of chipboard and cut it into a giant tag shape. I smeared some gesso on it to create a textured background. Then (when it was nearly dry) I used about 7 different color glimmer mists until I achieved the back ground I wanted. While that part was drying I colored Luna from the Women of Power set at Smeared Ink. I attached her with foam tape and then added a few gems, glitter and ribbons with some bones from my stash. I love how this turned out and the picture just doesn't do it justice. I may have to add another pic in the morning when I can shoot it outside in the natural light.

LOC #34 - Something Metal

Hello my friends,
It's time for another great challenge over at Left of Center Challenges.  This time around the theme is "something metal" and our amazing sponsor is Rick St. Dennis.

I got to play with Crazy Alyce, isn't she fabulous!  I colored her with pencils and cut her out to mount onto my tag.  For my tag I started with craft paper and ran it thru my cuttle bug using a Tim Holtz Alterations folder. I inked it up with a cocoa ink pad, then I found some bronze acrylic paint that I smeared on with my finger. I also added a small brad to the bottom corner. I could only find my silver brads so I used my paint to make it bronze to match.
I can't wait to see your creations using something metal (or LOC themed) so head on over to our blog to enter.  You will also find some changes that are going to happen with LOC so please check it out.

LOC # 26 - Die Cuts

Hello all you fabulous humans!  Today begins another fun challenge over at the Left of Center blog. We also just started a Left of Center Creative Challenges FB group and we would love to have you join us there. The theme for this challenge is "die cuts".  We have 2 awesome sponsors this time around so if you head over to the blog you can see many samples from both of them.  We are lucky to have Ike's Art and The Stamping Chef.  I got to play with this super fun image from The Stamping Chef - Bittersweet.  I had so much fun coloring her.

I've colored her with pencils and then cut her out and used foam tape to add her to a tag. The die cut I've used is the Medium Fancy Flourish from MFT.  Now head on over to the LOC blog to see all the wonderful work from the DT and then pull out your stash of die-cuts and start crafting. I can't wait to see what you create. Make sure to join our FB group too and swing by and say hello :)

Hearts & Harlequins

Hello friends! There is a fun challenge (and DT call) happening now over on the PunkYouGirl Challenge Blog. But you'll have to move fast to get on this challenge and DT call as it ends today.  The theme for the challenge is Hearts & Harlequins, so of course I had to use my favorite heart stamp from Smeared Ink :)

I created the background with the help of my Cuttlebug and the sentiment I wrote out on scraps of paper and cut down. Thanks for visiting my blog to check out my creation and taking the time to consider me for the Design Team.

Happy Crafting!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 8

It's day 8 already of the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop. For all the rules, clues and to find out if you've won something yet please head on over to Terra's blog.
I had my journal page all planned out and then as I was searching thru my messy stash I came across a stamp I totally forgot I had. So I decided to whip up a tag since the stamp was way too big for my journal :)

I started with a kraft tag and spritzed some glimmer mist then stamped my long lost skeleton stamp from Tim Holtz. The sentiment is from an older CTMH set. I added some ribbon and it's ready to go.  I really should craft more often I'm finding all sorts of neat stuff in my stash :)

Next stop on the hop ...  Trisha.

12 Days of Creepmas - Day 3

Welcome back to day 3 of the Creepfest! Visit the Smeared & Smudged blog for all the deets.  Today I made a tag in Christmas colors :)

The skeleton butterfly image is from Paula Best.  I've embossed the background and used direct to paper technique to ink it up in lovely green.  The black swirl is a die cut from MFT.  I'm still deciding on the ribbon or fibers to add.... might need to make a run to the craft store for the perfect one :)
Next stop on the hop is Susan.  If you get lost along the way all the blogs are listed on my sidebar.

Forever Night Challenge Blog is back up and running.  I don't know about you but I've been missing the challenges terribly.  The winners for the past 5 challenges have been post as well so hurry on over there to see if you are one of them :)
This weeks theme is creepy tags / anything goes.  Make sure you head over to check out what the design team has created  using images from this weeks sponsor - Dilly Beans.

I chose image #385 - sugar skull & flowers framed to work with. I colored it using pencils and gel pens where I wanted extra shine.  I also used some copics to create the dotted background.  I used a bright texture paper from my older CTMH stash and mounted it on black CS.  Add a ribbon and taadaa.... a creepy tag.

Wicked Treats

Welcome to the weekly challenge over at Forever Night Challenges. This weeks theme is "Wicked Treats". Our fabulous sponsor for this challenge is Limited Runs Digital Stamps and they have a variety of wicked treats to choose from :)

I don't think you can get much more wicked than an eyeball cupcake, what do you think? I've made 2 tags because after my first one I thought to myself "self, wouldn't it be cool if some eyes were bloodshot?" hehe cause I'm weird that way :)

First I stamped my tag stamp (CTMH) then wrote my sentiments and sponged some color on it. I colored my eyeball cupcakes with colored pencils and cut out to attach to my tags. The first tag I used foam dots so it pops out a bit and the second I just glued flat on the tag. Punched my holes and added some ribbon and voila...

So head on over to FNC and share your wicked treat with us (make sure your entry has some type of "food" on it).

31 Days of Halloween - day 19

Welcome back once again for the Smeared & Smudged Halloween blog hop. Did you know there are prizes available each and every day?! Even if you can't comment on every blog (altho we all love comments) you can lurk about to find hidden images, how fun is that! Check here for details.

I decided to go with a tag for today's project. I cut a mask for my moon and then sponged blue ink over the rest of the tag. The tree and raven are both from Paula Best Stamps and the fence is from an older CTMH set. The raven stamp has a small ball in it's beak so I found a googlie eye that fit in that space, hehe. I added the raven with foam dots so he pops of the tag a bit. Thanks for stopping by, please visit the other wicked bloggers along the hop and leave them some love :)

Next stop Ikes' World, not only does she have an awesome project she also has some blog candy! woohoo.

"Hogwarts, A History"

The theme this week over at Forever Night Challenges is Witches and Wizards of Hogwarts. I've used this adorable image from Bugaboo Stamps. I've included one of my favorite Hermione quotes on a tag I've sponged with brown and green.
Thanks for stopping by!
