#107 Unstampabelles

It's a new month and time for a new challenge at Unstampabelles. This time we would like to see 'Joy' on your projects. The twist is a musical one. You could use, for example: carol singers, instruments, drummer boys, bird song etc. Anything that shows music bringing Joy!!

Here is my inspiration for you.

I have used an image and background from Hunky Dorey. The die cut musical notes embellishments was kindly sent to me by one of  the design team at CD Sunday Plus. Thank you....you are a star!!.

I hope you will join us this month and don't forget NO STAMPS when you create your project as we are UN stampabelles.

Wishing you all an early Peaceful Christmas and Healthy 2021. Keep safe everyone this Festive Season.

Have a crafty month and I look forward to being with you all again in 2021.

#44 CD Sunday Plus

Good Morning Crafters. I hope everyone is keeping safe and well in these crazy times. WE are still merrily crafting away at CD Sunday Plus and the challenge as usual is 'Anything Goes'. The rule is that you use something from a CD, USB or download when creating your project.

Here is  my inspiration for you.

I used a white pre folded scalloped card as my base. The CD used is from Debbie Moore 'Art Deco Christmas Dreams' I have also used some adorable scorable card from Hunkydory.

I have added some mustard Hunkydory card in strips on top of the background poinsettia paper to add interest. I then placed a poinsettia centrally and an oblong poinsettia spray in the top left corner. Then I placed the sentiment bottom right. I finally added gold gems to the central image and mustard strips.

Jo is our hostess with the mostess for this challenge and I'm sure she is looking forward to visiting you soon to see what you've been inspired to make. Don't forget it doesn't have to be a card . It could be a plaque, ATC, Journal page, scrap book layout etc etc. As long as you follow the rules. For more inspiration pop over the main blog at CD Sunday Plus ( link in sidebar).

Have a great week crafting and if you leave a comment Thank You. All comments are read and appreciated.

#104 Unstampabelles

Are you ready for another challenge at Unstampabelles/ It's a new month so a new challenge for you.

Our challenge title is Phoenix (rising from the ashes)

This could be salvaging a craft disaster, getting a career after a slow start, recovering from an illness i.e Breast Cancer or even celebrating a Divorce. So let your imagination run wild with this one. The optional twist is to use an embossing folder

Here is my inspiration for you.

This a an A4 card with background paper from Hunky Dory. The sentiment/verse is one I have in my stash and sadly I have used it several times to send to girl friends who have been  fighting this nasty disease!

I added the pink ribbon to create a hanger for the plaque verse. This could be removed from the card quite easily.

This is just one idea. For more inspiration pop over to Unstampabelles (link in sidebar) to see ideas from the Design Team. Remember NO STAMPS please as we are UNSTAMPabelles.

Have a great time creating and I look forward to visiting your blogs real soon. Thank you for visiting and if you leave a comment , Thank You, they are all read and appreciated.

#43 CD Sunday Plus

Good Morning crafters. It's time for our latest challenge at CD Sunday Plus. As usual it's 'Anything Goes' as long as you use something from a CD, USB or digi download and tell us your source. It doesn't have to be the main focus of your make, which means it could be the background, tag or sentiment etc.

Here is my inspiration for you.

( This is looking a bit too blue as the light wasn't good when I took the photo.)

I started with A4 card stock and folded it portrait. Then I was having a browse through my Hunky Dory insert papers and found this lovely delicate image of an Owl in Winter. I thought it would make a lovely Christmas card. I've not used the inserts before as the main image but I think it worked.

The tag/sentiment  is from an Ooh La La CD 'Xmas Presence'. I added silver ribbon and a star gem to the tag. Et Voila!!

For more inspiration pop over to the CD Sunday Plus Home page to see what the rest of the team have created. (link in side bar) Remember it doesn't have to be a card it could be anything paper craft related.

Have a good week and take care out there!!

#42 CD Sunday Plus

Good Morning crafters. It's time for our next challenge at CD Sunday Plus. This time it's hosted by our lovely Jocelyn and as usual it's 'Anything Goes' as long as you use something from a CD, USB or digi download anywhere on your creation.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I started with a white card blank and added a scalloped matt of blue. Then printed a background from a CD by Ooh La 'Christmas Presence'. I have started making my Christmas cards during lockdown and I found this lovely Nativity scene in my Hunky Dory stash.

It's from there decoupage range. It's been an age since I did any decoupage so this turned into a real treat for me and got my mojo going any. Think it's been in lockdown too!!

I printed off the tag from the same CD and added some silver ribbon which had the silver angels wings and stars attached. It was a roll I had in my stash from Lidls.

I hope I've inspired. Maybe you've started Christmas early too like me!!

Check out the rest of the Design Teams creations at CD Sunday Plus for more inspiration.( link in sidebar)

I hope you're enjoying a relaxing Sunday. Thank you for visiting and if you leave a comment an extra thank you. All your comments are read and appreciated.

Enjoy your crafting!!!

#99 Unstampabelles

Good Day!! Well I hope you are managing to stay sane during this time of uncertainty in the world!!! I have been very busy in my craft room trying to get ahead of the Christmas rush !!

Our April challenge at Unstampabelles is all about creativity.....something we crafters thrive on!!
The challenge is called 'Creative Souls and Being Creative'  So its all about Art....creating it, looking atit, admiring it etc etc.
The optional twist is ....To mane a creative person you admire and CAS a piece of their work, without using stamps of course!

I have long been an admirer of the Art Dec o Movement. So with this in mind I set about creating a piece for you.

The Art Deco Movement reached it's height in the 1920s, '30s and '40s.The key features are bold designs, clear lines , vibrant colours and patterns. The style brings glamour, luxury and order with symmetrical designs in exuberant shapes.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I told you I'd been working on Christmas!!! The image as you can see is set in a typical Art Deco geometrical shape. I am sure you'll agree that is also says luxury and glamour. All Art Deco boxes are ticked with this image from Hunky Dory. I placed the image on a white scalloped pre scored card from my stash. The background is also from Hunky Dory and the image placed below those glamorous chandeliers I hope show some  symmetry....think I might be a wee bit out on that one if you look closely!!

I hope you will be inspired to join us. Pop over to Unstampabelles and see which creative soul has inspired the rest of the team. There's always a random prize draw too. But don't forget NO stamps please.....we are UNSTAMPabelles!!

Take Care and Stay Safe. Don't go out unless you really have to and stay a safe distance from others. Protecting yourself and our vital front line services.

Happy crafting!!

Good Morning crafters. I hope you all enjoyed the sunshine while it lasted!! We are starting our new challenge today at CD Sunday Plus. Last time it was a prize challenge so watch out to see who the lucky winner was.

As usual the theme is 'Anything Goes'. Here is my inspiration for you.

I used the Ooh la La CD 'Festive Funnies' for the image and background. The greeting is from Hunky Dory. I added blue ribbon matted on sparkly gold ribbon.

This is the matching  insert taken from the same CD.

I added my own verse to it using 'Word' then printed it onto the insert.

I have made a wee start with my Christmas cards but I know that I'll still be making them right up to the due date.

I hope you have a lovely crafty week and I look forward to visiting your blogs real soon./ If you leave a comment , thank you, they are all read and appreciated.

#5 at CD Sunday

Good Morning everyone . Can you believe it's March already. What a lovely month February was! The weather here this Winter has made me very pleased that I no longer live in Cyprus. They have had the wettest Winter on record and it's still raining, with the dams likely to overflow this weekend.

Over at CD Sunday it's time for a new challenge. The last challenge was hosted by yours truly. Thank you all for taking part. There were lots of delightful entries so I am going to have the lovely task of choosing my Top Three ready to posted next Sunday. This time Margaret is hosting the challenge and once again it's 'Anything Goes using a CD'.

Here is my inspiration for you.

I started with a square card from a pack I bought at the Crafters Companion store in Newton Aycliffe when I visited it early last year. The yellow matt was embossed using a free embossing folder I got in a magazine....sorry not sure which one it was. The oval gold frame was a RAK sent from a crafting friend so I'm not sure which die was used.

The central image is from a Joanne Sheen CD 'Holly Hill Pond'....a fave of mine. It's such a cute image and I've used it many times before to make my Easter Cards. This one is for two lovely people in Cyprus. The little tag was from a Hunky Dory pack.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us at CD Sunday. Don't forget you must use a CD and tell us which one you've used. The element from the CD can be anything. large or small, e.g. the main image, background, tag, greeting etc. For those of you who don't have a blog we have a facebook page where you can upload your creations in the comments section.

So off you go and create anything, doesn't have to be a card, as long as you use a CD.

Sunday, 3 February 2019

It's February 2019 and time for.....

......our first challenge of the year at Unstampabelles. We hope you've enjoyed teh break and are raring to go with some new and exciting challenges. We have lots of new design team members too. So please visit them and give them some love. You will find more info about them on the main challenge blog page Unstampabelles.

This time Susan would like to see projects that are 'Simply Bright and Cheerful' and the optional Twist is 'Arty Creations appreciated'.

The prize is a $15 Aus. Gift Certificate.

Here is my interpretation of the challenge.

I used some patterned card stock from Hunky Dory which I cut and folded to create a tall thin DL card. I thought the image looked like a painted work of art and it's bright and cheerful. I added a die cut greeting 'Just a note' from Joanne Sheen. I have sent this to a friend to tell her of our 'change of address'.
(For those of you who are new to my blog. We have recently moved back to the UK after living for almost 20 years in Cyprus)
. The bought change of address cards are always so boring to my eyes. Hence why I made my own.I hope you will be inspired to join us.

Don't forget we are UNstampabelles so no stamps please when you are making your project. This can be anything from greetings cards, scrapbook layouts, ATCs, altered artwork i.e notebooks, boxes. The sky's the limit just don't use stamps....this includes digis.

I look forward to visiting your blogs and if you leave a comment....thank you... they are always read and appreciated.

Happy Crafting!!

Unstampabelles last challenge for 2018!!

Can you believe another year is almost over.....where do the days, weeks, months, years go!! This is our last challenge for 2018 at Unstampabelles. Of course it's something appropriate for this time of the year.

We would like you to show us a Christmas themed item related to your country. The optional Twist is to explain the theme in your blog. Don't forget the important rule.....no stamps allowed.....we are UNstampabelles!

As usual there is a prize on offer.

Here is my inspiration for you.

Carol singing around the tree in local villages.

Where I live in the UK there are many small villages with a beautiful Christmas at the heart of the village. Every year they have carol singing around the tree in each village, which is usually led by the local church choir. Ours happens this Tuesday evening and I am very much looking for ward to it. This will be my first Christmas back home in the UK so you can imagine the joy I'm feeling.

The card was created using only Hunky Dory products.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us and show us your Christmas traditions in your creations. I look forward very much to visiting your blogs and reading about your traditions.

Happy Crafting!

Flowers with Unstampabelles

We are midway through the challenge at Unstampabelles. The challenge is proving very popular and we've had some yummy entries so far.....who doesn't like flowers!! The twist is to Bling it up!

Here is my midway inspiration for you.

A card style I made a few weeks ago and I thought I'd use the style again. It's an upright Zcard which you can find on Youtube. Link here youtube

I started with  oblong white card stock and edged the narrow end with a fancy die. I covered it with lemon designer paper and folded it into a step card. The image was from a Hunky Dory pack of some pretty flower fairies which matched the designer paper perfectly. I added the image to card stock and left a gap in the top for the tag to slip down. I hand made the tag adding the sentiment from the same Hunky Dory pack. The yellow brad attaches the tag to the back of the card then it slots into the slit at the top of the main image. The card then folds flat for posting.

I hope you will join us at Unstampabelles.

This is the prize on offer from Susan.

Stamps and an embossing folder.

I look forward to visiting you soon. Have fun!

'Ribbon and Lace'

Good Morning. It's time for our new challenge at Crafting with Dragonflies. This time Hilde has chosen the lovely theme of 'Ribbon and Lace'....always popular. This is my inspiration for you.

I have created a gatefold easel card using papers and images from Hunky Dory. You can find many instructions for making this on You Tube.

Outside closed gate fold

The buttons are from a pack I've had for eons....not sure where they were from. I placed a scrap piece of ribbon under the buttons which were secured with hi tack tape. The lace edging the stopper image again was a scrap piece in my stash. The pink gingham paper was from a crafty friend at my craft group.

This challenge runs for two weeks and is a cards only challenge for FUN!! For more inspiration pop over to the challenge blog (link in sidebar)

Have a great weekend!!

There are lots of prizes from our generous sponsors for this challenge. Full details on Crafting with Dragonflies challenge blog. (Link in sidebar)

Here is my inspiration for you.

I made this as a commissioned card for someone who loves CAKE!! The main card is made using Hunkydory's adorable scoreable card.  It was an insert but I decided to use it as a card front as it fitted perfectly with the commission.

The large cake was a googled image as was the sentiment. Peel off letters were used for the recipient's name and Happy Birthday.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us for our challenge. As this is our birthday celebration challenge we have been kindly sponsored by lots of generous people. You will find a list of our sponsors and what you can win on the Crafting with Dragonflies challenge blog (link in sidebar)

'Twisted Easel' with the Dragonflies

Good Morning. A very quick post from me today as I'm scheduling lots because I have decided to leave the island to visit my friends and family in the UK for a couple of months.

The challenge at Crafting with Dragonflies is for a Twisted Easel card.

Here is my inspiration for you. This is made using some new stash from Hunky Dory. It's part of their Easter Range.

There are lots of tutorials on Youtube if you want to see how to make a simple Twisted Easel Card.......much better than my explanation. But it really is easy!!

I hope you enjoy this challenge. Don't forget it's a card only challenge and for fun only!! Link in sidebar to challenge blog.

Crafting with Dragonflies

Good Morning crafters. Today we have a new challenge for you at Crafting with Dragonflies. Hilde has chosen the theme of 'Birds'. We had some very interesting folds from you all for our last challenge. I really enjoyed visiting your blogs and seeing what you had created. I do love a different fold!!

Here is my inspiration for you his time.

This was made using a new fold for me. It's a top folded card with the two bottom front corners turned back to create a pocket. I covered it with some new papers from Hunky Dory and created the 'bird' tag with an image I had in my stash.....sorry not sure who designed this but it is lovely. I embossed some white card stock and placed it over the seam on the front of the pocket.

More pics.

'Bird' tag

I hope you all have a lovely weekend planned. And for those trying to cope with the snowstorms in the UK ....please take care and only venture out if it's really necessary!! A great time to craft eh folks!!

#76: Anything Goes (no stamps)TWIST use anything newly acquired

Wow!! We're back.....have you missed us? We've had a lovely long break at Unstampabelles but we are now raring to go to bring you more 'challenging' challenges!!

We starting off gently though so don't panic. It's Anything Goes!! The twist is to use some of your new stash that you may have received in your stocking at Christmas!!.....but NO stamps please.

This is my inspiration for you.

The card was created using one sheet of A4 card stock folded equally into four panels. I used a die from a set of fancy frames borrowed from a fellow crafter....so new to me. The die was placed on the edge using only half of it to cut the legs of the panel. The fancy top was created using a new die punch that I got from Lidls just before Christmas. The blue designer paper was in my stash and the added flourishes were die cuts from another borrowed die....so again new to me. The sentiment 'Best Wishes' was a new die that I got as a prize from Hunky Dory. So lots of NEW things used in my creation.

I hope you've been inspired to join us. For more inspiration pop over to Unstampabelles (link in sidebar) and see what the rest of the design team have been up to.

As always there's a great prize on offer kindly donated by our lovely leader Susan. This month it's a really useful leaf spray die.

Don't forget this challenge is to create anything as long as you don't use stamps!! Go on.... you can do it!!

Have fun!!

Zentangle Christmas

It's a new month and time for a new challenge at Unstampabelles, This time Susan would like to see some Zentangle on your Christmas cards using non traditional colours.

Here is my inspiration for you.

Using an outline of a Christmas pudding I then used my own Zentangle designs to fill in the 'pudding' area. Orange. blue and pink was my chosen colour palette. A strange combo I know!! I went on to Zentangle the holly leaves using the same colour palettes. The berries were Zentangled in pink. The heart on the 'icing' is from Hunky Dory. Finally I added a diecut Holly bough in blue. The Merry Christmas greeting along the bottom is also from Hunky Dory.

I hope you've been inspired to join us. There's a great prize on offer as usual.

Wow! Who wouldn't want to win these goodies?

Have fun!!

Christmas cards with the Dragonflies!

Good Morning everyone. I hope you have lots of lovely plans for your weekend. If you're from the Northern Hemisphere I hope you are keeping warm and aren't snowed in. But then you can always craft to keep those fingers busy!!

We have a new challenge at Crafting with Dragonflies. This time Hilde would like you to show us your Glammed Up Christmas cards. Here is my inspiration for you.

I recently purchased some lovely toppers from Hunky Dory. How about this for a glamorous Christmas stocking! I used white card stock for the main card and added a pink matt. Then the Hunky Dory image was added plus a circular topper for the greeting.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us. Don't forget it's card only and a fun challenge.

Enjoy!!
