Halloween owl

Flying in the dark night on its broomstick, looking for a place to rest.
A special thank to Rachel from http://fourwisemonkeys.blogspot.com/ who kindly sent me a copy of her cute Matryoshka nesting doll to stitch.
I'm anxious to begin and hope I'll have time to as soon as possible.
Visit her blog!

Baba Yaga

A little babushka I sew for my daughter's bedroom to send her beautiful dreams for Halloween.

She seems so kind, no one will be afraid. She sweeps away the tracks behind her with her little broom made out of silver birch.

She has the visit of Vasilissa and her two sisters but doesn't want to eat them, no! She is a kind witch now...

I hope you also will love this wild grand-mother...

Good Luck!

Some pictures of a little cushion I made on last june for my daughter who had an exam on this month and I stitched "geluk", a dutch word meaning Luck( because some years ago, she learnt dutch language with a Dutch friend of us).

The free pattern comes from Andrea Zuill's blog and it is very cute!

You can see it on http://zuill.us/andreablog/

Many other patterns , every one so cute!

In friends we trust

A place mat for a dear friend which begins a wall quilt because too large.
My friend is particularly addicted with this special coffee.

With a play of words: Céret.cof, because Cérecof is a french brand of a special mixed coffee and Céret is a french city of Roussillon from where comes my friend 's father, and city well known for its cherries, the first ones are always sent to the French President each year.

Happy Birthday my dear Daughter

My dear dear little girl turns ...17 today!!!

I love her so much! and think incredible how little she was on that September 16th!

Today she spends the day at school from 8 am to 6 pm!!! and her father works so far away from us; he phones on early morning to wish her a happy birthday but we drank Champagne last week end and gave her some gifts too...

I sew this kitchen towel inspired by "Sewing for the Home Month" from "Sew, Mama, Sew", a babouchka because she learns russian language and the stitched word means Autumn.

It's a long way to ...holidays

Hello every body!

Happy to find my computer and my blog and some king messages from my dear friend Lisa!

We had great holidays in England, Cornwall, Yorkshire, Devon, Dorset and it was fantastic to find so many patchwork shops and it was very difficult not to buy to much fabrics...

The first day a visit to Whitby Patchwork Exhibition, I will put some pictures soon.

These are some fabrics bought this summer.

I will write soon but now my daughter is so angry!
