Go Team Jacob!

Over the weekend, we went to visit Aunt Jol, and Momma was re-reading that New Moon book before the movie comes out this week. Knuckles and I got to talking about the movie, and that's when I found out he was on Team Edward! What a jerk! How can he turn against his own kind like that? Jacob is a werewolf, and wolves are like dogs. Two ears and a nose... like a dog!!!

Anyway, we started fighting a bit over who's cooler, and I think I won the fight.

PS This is my 100th post!

Shaving Sonic

Yesteday, I got shaved!

The Beagle from down the road thought it would be a good idea to shave my fur, because he heard that "Mixed Marital Artists" like to shave their heads before they fight, so that their spouses won't be able to pull their hair while fighting over paints. And if I'm going to challenge those Dobermans in combat, then I'll need every bit of help I can get.

So Momma and Pops took me to Melvin the Groomer, and on top of the regular stuff like trimming my claws and plucking the fur from my ears (always so painful!) he went on and totally shaved off my fur with a scary whirring thing.

The "Before" shot
Here's what I looked like before grooming...

Pedicure
This is me, getting my nails clipped.

Okay, I've always had my nice fuzzy coat of fur ever since I was born. I like it when my humans brush my fur. This is a totally different experience. With my fur shaved off... it's like I can feel the wind on my skin! It's so weird!

I'm sure you guys want to see what I look like now, so here's a pic of my new look.

That's just sorta freaky
My new look!

Okay I'm just kidding! That's not me at all! That's just the dog that got shaved after me. He's kinda funny-looking and googley-eyed, but Momma says that's what happens when you pull faces and then the wind changes. If only Chinese Crested dogs had Mommas as wise as mine. Anyway, this is what I really look like after my haircut:

New and improved shaved Sonic
Look how sleek I look now!

Pretty handsome, huh? It's just so strange. I feel really light and agile now, and when the wind blows it's a totally different feeling. But I like it lots. And I'll probably be able to kick butt now. Evil Cats beware!

My humans think I look like this actor named Liev Schrieber. I'm not sure if I see the resemblence myself, but here's a comparison photo.

Celeb lookalike

What do you think? Do I look like the guy who plays Sabretooth?

I'm a celebrity... sort of.

My Momma was sniffing around the Internet, and she found this blog where a guy draws a dog every day. Anyway, just recently he tried to draw Sonic the Dog! Wow! That's like... me!!!

Okay, maybe the whole pooping thing is kinda embarrassing, but I guess he's not all wrong. Cos I err... I left some of the really really smelly stuff for Momma to clean up last night. Not my proudest moment, but my tummy just wasn't feeling well.

Still, I feel like a celebrity, even though I really shouldn't be one. Just like Kevin Federline!

Grossness!

Yesterday, I swallowed something I shouldn't have. I know I'm not supposed to chew on a lot of things, like the bathroom rug, but it just feels so good and I love it so much! Anyway, I think I must've swallowed a piece of the rug that kept tickling my throat or something, cos suddenly I felt really uncomfortable and started vomitting.

My Puke
Gross!!!

I don't know if you guys have vomitted before, but it's the worse feeling in the world. All that gagging, and the slimey stuff shooting out of your mouth... and that yucky after-taste! SO GROSS!!! It's so nasty, and I don't ever want to vomit again!

I was talking to my friend the Beagle from down the road, and he told me that cats vomit all the time... for fun! Yeah, apparently they will lick themselves so that their fur tickles their throats, and then they'll vomit out the furball. What kinda weird species would make themselves vomit?

The Beagle from down the road says it's because they're all stray cats with no homes, and they want to make themselves thin so that a rich soccer player will adopt them. Dogs don't need to be so desperate... humans love us because we have charming personalities!

No! Not another trip to the vet!

Last week my humans mentioned that I didn't need to go to the vet, but today they decided I needed to go. My Momma and grandma took me to a different vet today, probably thinking that I wouldn't figure out where they're taking me. But they underestimated a dog's strong sense of smell and innate telepathic abilities. Okay, I'll admit it... I was trembling in the car the moment I realized where I was going. But you would tremble too if you were in my paws.

Anyway, it turns out that I have a yeast infection in my ear, and now I'll need ear drops and regular cleaning. What I wanna know is, how did I get a yeast infection in my ear? The Beagle from down the road said that yeast infections are things you get from humping Paris Hilton's chihuahua. But the thing is, I've never even so much as sniffed Tinkerbell's butt.

This news really shocks me. I've just recovered from another illness, only to get this. It's depressing. I hate getting medicated. I hate getting cotton buds shoved into my ears. I hate that itchy feeling in my ear all the time.

One good thing that came out of this is that I got injected with some stuff that makes me pee and poop more often. And my pee is now incredibly potent, so my Golden Offerings can now summon my humans even quicker than before. It's not really worth getting a needle jammed into my butt, but I guess it's a consolation. Remember, the food-dish is always half-full.
