If Indian origin Americans support Obama, I can understand that. I do not know why many Indians in India support Obama. He has not done any favor to India except a few praising words like “India has arrived as a developed nation”. He is pushing for FDI in Retail Trade in India and I think many Indians are against it.

A year ago he said: My responsibility is to bring jobs to Bangor, Maine, and not to Bangalore, India”. Mr. Obama is right. That is his responsibility. But do not understand the reasons for Indians in India supporting Obama.

Though I am not in India, I haven't been here long enough to discern the difference Obama makes to policies affecting India. I feel Obama hasn't really done such an impressive lot in his first term but to give him the benefit of doubt, he came in at a difficult time. Given that and the fact that I wasn't leaning toward Romney as a president (he was just way too off-track at times), Obama for four more years was just a marginally better option. He never mentioned India at all during this campaign and it surprised me too. Lastly, ppl in India (not the intellectually sound ppl) but general masses have the impression of Obama being a "good man" , "principled man" and hence the support. If you spoke to a finance-guy, he's be criticizing Obama's policies all through.

“Obama for four more years was just a marginally better option”. You are absolutely correct lostworld. A senior policy analyst (Republican) said last night “if you don’t like an incumbent and also if you don’t want to vote for a challenger, you always vote for the incumbent”. I think that is what the Americans did yesterday.

SG, Yes it is difficult to unseat an incumbeat. Although ROmney is so busy making a fool of himself that I'm sure Obama's supporters are sure they picked the right person.

A, isn't it..really! :)
