So, are you wondering why a Florida girl makes an ice skate cake in June? It was for the young women at Girls' Camp. The camp theme this year was "Following in Jesus' Footsteps" and each ward was assigned a different type of shoe. Our ward was assigned ice skates, and they had to create a skit around their shoe. So, I went to watch their skit last night and took some cake. It was fun! Here are some of the girls in their air conditioned cabin:
They have air conditioning! I remember one of my years at girls' camp in particular, when we were in tents. It rained a LOT and our tents got flooded, our bedding and everything else was soaked. Camping in Florida weather was tough, but I always loved camp anyway! :0)
