Twin Girls

Bows and dresses,
lots of messes
dress up and frills,
We are having twin girls!

We are both excited that my health is good, the babies are growing just fine and that we get to bring not one, but two of God's children into this world. It seems like such a daunting task as times, but how lucky I feel that he has trusted me to do this. My belly is growing and people think I am farther along than I really am, or people don't think I am pregnant at all---which boggles my mind. There is so much to do to get ready, but we're just taking it one day at a time.

Welcome to the BONEHEADS!

The whole reason I forced Taryn to move down here to Florida was experienced this week as I flew the mighty EAGLE for the 1st time! It is an amazing jet and very capable of its mission to defend our sovereign skies around the world! The jets with the TY on the tail and the blue stripe are my squadron's jets here at Tyndall. We are the 95 Fighter Squadron, officially known as the Boneheads (see squadron patch) dating back to WWII and other conflicts. There is a ton of history in the 95th and we are loving being a part of it.

There is a lot of good news waiting to be told to us : 1st are we having girls, boys, or both! and 2nd where are we moving next summer, Alaska, England, Japan, or Virginia? Well soon enough the Lord will take care of us and we will be sent to a place that needs our family.

I hope TJ doesn't mind me posting 'flying stuff' (but too bad because she went to bed at like 8 again tonight...not like she has an excuse to be tired or anything...). I love my wife and am grateful for her support of me always being at work long hours and always talking fighter pilot talk. As long as I do the dishes and clean the house, I think we'll have a good contract. Well, enjoy the pics! I do everyday!!

Visit to AZ

We got a chance to visit AZ a couple of weeks ago. I don't know which was more fun, seeing my family, or seeing how excited Drew gets when he visits his home state. My older brother Matt blessed his new daughter, Zoey. Annabelle and Matt are great parents, and Matt is so good with infants. It was most fun to see my parents, and brothers, who remind me that I will always be the shortest one, and to laugh with Heidi. Being so far away from family, reminds you how lucky you are to have them.

Double the Fun!!

Yes, it's official. We are expecting. We have known for several weeks as I am 11 weeks along. Although we got the surprise of our lives on Thursday, when we found out that we are having TWINS. We were overwhelmed with joy, excitement, happiness and tears all at the same time. I have so many thoughts that cross my mind all day, especially those of I need two cribs, and two car seats, I am going to have 2-two yr. olds and 2-sixteen yr. olds....aah the joy of multiples. Let's just pray that they grow healthy & strong and we'll work from there. (of course Andrew is excited that he gets double the chances for a boy now.)

Save the Turtles!

Last night, our friend Bill invited us out to watch him release 89 loggerhead turtles. It was an amazing site. Logger heads are extremely common for nesting on the beaches of the Gulf Coast. With two five gallon buckets the turtles were released onto the sand and with a little guidance they found the water. These little guys are just 3- 4 inches long. It was amazing to see these creatures make track marks in the sand, helping the confused ones turn around to find the water, and then all making it into the water. Last year my 4th grade class studied turtles, so this was an amazing site to see. I guess it kind of came full circle for me...and I was wishing they could have all witnessed this site too.

Tagged?!

Tagged by: www.imthgr8brimhall.blogspot.com/

Here are the rules:
1. Link to the Person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Write six random things about yourself.
4. Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.
5. Let your tagger know when your entry is up.

So here it is... The 6 Random things about me---

1. I can throw a football 35 yards. I owe much thanks to my hunk of a husband, who played college ball, and has coached me on my technique. Sad but true, I know the technique to it all.

2. In my next life I want to be an sports commentator for ESPN. Sideline view, interview huge sweat spewing players, and chase down coaches...who doesn't want that job?

3. My favorite restaurant is Cold Stone. Need I explain further? Oh yeah, i also have a punch card..(i probably shouldn't have told you that)

4. I secretly want to be a golfer. I have my own clubs & I have played several times. I think i am almost ready to walk the course, now that I have bright pink balls (and the fact that I no longer bring 3 back-up golf balls with me when I tee-off.) I think i have finally found a sport that my husband cannot kick my butt at too bad, even when he tones it down a bit. We actually had a fantastic family night on the course the other evening.

5. I want to thank my parents for encouraging me to play the piano. I find it relaxing to play. My husband enjoys it as well, because he often comes to sit down next to me to listen while he studies. But more importantly, i find it a blessing to be able to sit down and play a hymn off a whim. Thanks Dad for your inspiration, and not passing on your "playing by ear talent" and Mom, for forcing me to practice with the timer by my side.

6. I want to write a children's picture book. It will be about Red Hat Ladies. if you don't know who these people are...you'll have to read my book when it is released.

And those are defiantly 6 random things about me!! Now, I tag, Tarah, Heidi S., Michelle, Kara, Brittany, & Crystal... good luck - You're It!

It's true what they say...

Things in Texas are BIGGER! School spirit is bigger, football is bigger, and even their mascots are bigger. While in Texas Andy helped coach the high school 7on7 football, he loved working with those kids. He also was the guest speaker two years in a row for the season kickoff banquet. We had such a great time at the games throughout the season, but enjoyed most being part of the Bulldogs.

Our List of "To Do"

On our growing list of things to get get prior to leaving Texas, we couldn't leave out these fun and crazy things: have a fabulous party (thanks McDowell Family!) with some of our dear friends and flying one last time for the IFF squadron. Below are the pictures of all these fun things.

Melisssa, Terri & I

Kara, Clay & little Nixon - the best neighbors anyone could ask for.

The Swensen's - cute family with even cuter kids.

Andy claims he has the best office ever.
I got to spray him down with lots of water after his last flight with IFF.

This photo is so simple & sweet. I am glad I got to capture the moment of Andy enjoying the beach as quiet and relaxing as it was.
Can you belileve we are going to have a sunset like this everyday in Florida?
Well...I can.

FINALLY!!

I finally did it! After all the peer pressure, I finally created a blog for Andrew & I. Since we are moving in 8 days, I thought it was about time. This way many friends and family can check out what's happen with the crazy Gray's. I'm not too confident in what I'm doing here...but I think I'll eventually figure it all out. Enjoy!
