Stately Home Finished

Finally finished the stately home, or as my wife calls it, 'your cute little dollhouse.'

Come and 'Ave a Game if you Think you're 'Ard Enough

So, my Aggro rules arrived this morning. Haven't had a chance to look at them, yet, but any game that contains the upgrade 'Killer Perm' has got to be good. I now need to paint up a second firm before things can get proper nawty.

Haven't had a chance to do any stuff, recently, except I made a formal garden for the mansion house.

Stately Home 6

So this is all going pretty slowly, at the moment. I've done a few more rooms in the house. My kitchen is one of those special kitchens that doesn't actually have any cooking facilities.

I got hold of some furniture. Most of these are from Thomarillion. I have a load of bookcases as I thought I'd make one of the rooms a library/office.

I also started a little formal garden what those nobs sometimes have.

Stately Home 5: Grey Area

I put a secret room in the middle of the house which I thought I could use with various interiors to reflect the type of villains it belonged to and the sort of use it was being put to. So far I have an occult temple:

A dungeon:

A control room:

And a missile base:

Stately Home 4: Swimming Pool

So I made a swimming pool and changing hut for the stately home.

I also decorated the lounge, which is, coincidentally, exactly what my wife asked me to do, although I imagine she meant a different lounge.

Stately Home 3

Been doing the interior of the stately home/supervillain base. Feels a bit more like making a dolls house than making wargames terrain. I expect it's probably better to avoid putting in loads of details, so that everyone has some space to fight in. That's my excuse, anyway.

Steed's snooker room turns into a supervillain's secret war room.

Stately Home 2

Decided to build an extra bit at the back of my stately home to make it a bit bigger and to give it a bit more of an interesting shape. Lined all the interior walls with plastic, and, I know I'm gonna regret this when it comes to painting, glazed all the windows. The whole thing measures about 60cm x 55cm which is probably a bit too big for a piece of scenery.

Stately Home

I've been thinking about a stately home, super base, Steed's house type of model for 7TV for a while, and then came across the Dust Tactics Warzone Tenement. It is absolutely perfect as a basis for that sort of model. The modularity of the design makes it great for loads of other uses, too. So I'd highly recommend it.

But more than anything, the sheer amount of plastic you get for you money is insane.
