Irfan and Duit Raya

Uncle Amin gave Irfan duit Raya. Fortunately Meng & Noi are not here, kalau tak pokai la Amin ;D

Hari Raya @ Kansas City

I woke up around 6.20am for Subuh prayer, then straight to the kitchen to finish making pulut panggang & seri muka. Then, heat up some rendang & pulut kuning for everyone for a quick breakfast before getting ready to go to Eid's prayer.

What are the menu?

Main dish: Nasi empit, rendang ayam, rendang daging, lodeh, sambal goreng, kuih kacang (not in the photo).

Kuih raya: Tart nenas, semperit, biskut suji, biskut nestum & almond london.
Other kuih: pulut panggang & seri muka.

And for the drink: Nescafe (because we all tak cukup tido that night :S)

Amin & Irfan

For the first few days Janet got here, Irfan had been crying/ getting cranky when he saw uncle Amin. I think he was a bit shy and not used to be around people except Janet & Zuhri.

Then, somehow Amin played a bit with him while Janet & Zuhri were out.. and taa daaa

Awesome.. Irfan adores his uncle Amin :)

It's raya time wehooo. Not so excited sbb lepas raya kena keje and rumah still tak kemas! Zuhri Irfan and I will be celebrating raya at Che Gem's. We are suppose to get baju raya from Malaysia but it seems like we won't be getting it before the first raya sob sob.

My One yr old baby..

My lovely Irf4n turned one 12:19 am today. He's a big boy now alhamdulillah.. thou his figure is rather small. The sad part is Irf4n is not in Bend to celebrate his birthday, tak sempat kenal tanah tumpah darah dah kena pindah.

Last night borak2 dgn Zuhri and I can actually recall every single thing that I went through to give birth to Irf4n. Aaahhh... such a scary + grateful moment. I'm not going to say 'It feels like yesterday yada yada yada..' because I definitely have gone through a lot to get to this point! The first year was full of ups and downs, but we managed to pull it together as a team. I know he is a strong boy..

At one year old

• Irf4n loves to play at our back..kitaorg akan duduk atas katil and dia akan pegang2 and tepuk2 belakang and main peekaboo. Soo sweeettt..
• More vocabs dada, didi, babba, aaa, eeiii, buuurr
• He's not walking just yet.. he can lean and stand on his own very well. The past few days dia dah diri for a good 10 secs hehe
• Irf4n loves Yo Gabba Gabba. He can watch Yo Gabba Gabba for hours!
  
• Dah start makan on high chair dgn kitaorg at Restaurants
• Stranger anxiety more obvious
• He's starting to show his 'picky' attitude towards food. Susah nak minum susu and baby food, lv lv lv bread cheese and makanan org tua huhu mee goreng, fries, and all the unhealthy ones la
• Makin manja, comel, mengada and spoil la sgt.. kalau nak something mmg akan mengamuk jerit2 adoi pening
• Perangai mmg mcm raja kecik la.. he gets everything that he wants
• He poops a lot, like 3-4 times a day mmm?

Road Trip Day 1

Day 0
A day before move out pegi amik gamba at view point of Three Sisters, Oregon.

Day 1
Took pictures with our friend from Purdue yg sama2 kerja di Bend, Pijul. He's leaving too..will be working at Idaho.
Started our journey a bit late around 12 or so.. made it to Baker City Or later in the evening close to 6.. Irf4n slept most of the way

Here's how the play yard at the back of the car looks like..haha. Irf4n suka sgt main kat bonet kereta. On top of the roof ade sky box for extra storage.


And this is our life saver.. portable dvd player. One for me and one for Irf4n but both plays the same media je. If you are planning to travel with kids 1 yr abv, this is a must to keep you sane hehe! For 11 days tgk Yo gabba gabba je.. dah hafal the dialog already aiyak.

I miss Bend like crazy. Help!

Janet's new house @ Independence KS

We just got back from Indy KS, just in time for iftar. It was a tiring Labor day weekend helping Janet & Zuhri with the moving. But at the same time, I had so much fun playing with si budak kecik Irfan. The funny part was that he got confused sometimes when he saw me & Janet... like hmm who's the mama? ;)


Here is Janet's new house. It is a good house for a small town, even better than our house anyways. But I'm not sure if Janet likes it.. maybe not yet.

Irfan @ Kansas City

Today is the 3rd day Irfan stays at my house. He's not afraid of me anymore :) I can play with him & carry him around the house. Because... Irfan likes Auntie Cah hehehe

This morning.. woke up and got his milk.

Day 11: Dah sampai Kansas City umah gem at 4 pm today!! Aiyoh sgt penat. Irf4n takut sgt dgn auntie gem, menangis meraung2..uncle amin tak dekat sgt dgn dia so dia tak kisah sgt huhu. Cian Irf4n satu hari menangis sbb pegi rumah strangers huhu..
