Arundel Archers in action at Nuffleween!! mkl

On the 3rd of November the guys from the podcast BothDown put on a BloodBowl tournament. It was a blast with 4 games all day Saturday. This is a shot of youtr beloved Arundel Archers in a match versus the 2nd place finisher Bryan Hill and his Chaso team. This was my only loss of the tournament as I went 1 win, 2 draws and 1 loss. I had a great time and played 4 fantastic opponents. Orclahoma will be held in the beginning of March and you will see the tournament side of the Arundel Archers in action once again.
I did not come home empty handed as I won the Best Sportsmanship award!

Next for the Arundel Archers, after coming off winning the Dark Skull Championship and losing the teh Cold Ones in the league championship 1-0, is the season ending Blood Bowl. This will be set of bowls where you have to loose twice to be eliminated.

The Chaos Cup is a Draw!! mkl

Well, after 19 turns (for each of the 4 players) and 10 hours of Blood Bowl playing the Choas gods had enough and stopped the game and awarded each team with one mutation for one random player.

The rookie Gwindor Séregon grew extra arms. He was acquire in mid season after Ereinion Luinwe was killed. In Gwindor's first game against the power house Krakens he had 2 casualties and intecepted and pass and ran it in for the touch down.

Next season starts in just over a week and the league is hoping for 32 players (with about 22 confirmed and the deadline is not yet upon us). The structure will change from a 1 division league to a premier type league. The teams will be ranked by fan factor. There will be an eight team premier division, 8 team 2nd division then a 2 group division. Teams play within your division. At the end top four of the premier and 2nd division go into the period playoffs. The bottom 4 of the premier league gets relegated to the 2nd division. In the 2nd division the top four (who made the playoffs) get promoted to the premier league and the bottom four get relegated to the 2 group division. The top 2 of each group in the 2 group division get promoted to the 2nd division. Should be pretty fun!!!

Arundel Archers in the Semi Finals of the Chaos Cup mkl

Hello everyone, This is a picture of the semifinals of the Chaos Cup. The Arundel Archers won the luck of the draw and were chosen. What a wild game of blood bowl this is with 4 people playing at one time. This is a picture of the board just after my turn 1. If you notice Erestor has the ball but just read on... Photobucket
Click on picture to see the whole thing.

On my first turn of the and during my first pass action there was a Chaos Effect called “Raining Blood”. This effect was -1 when passing the ball. One of my chuckers Celebrimbor dodging and jumping around the Kemri players picked up the ball and threw it to Erestor successfully. When it was the next players turn, The Hell’s Hotties, another Chaos effect was triggered which happened to be the Favor of Khorne which states that the ball furthest for one of the Hell’s Hotties players loses the ball. Erestor was dumbfounded when the ball he was holding on to for dear life disappeared into the warp. Back to my turn and during a blitz another chaos effect was triggered. This time it was the Favor of Tzeentch. Since the Archers were playing for Tzeentch the ball from the warp appeared at my obelisk (battery in the picture) and it scattered to the square of Celebrimbor’s brother Dinendal who is the star chucker on the team. During my turn 3 Dinendal runs at full movement to get a short pass to Maeglin Ancalimon who then ran it in for the only touchdown of the game. In this game every team had a real chance to score but it did not happen. Even on the Archers last turn I had a chance to chuck the ball to a lineman who could run it in with one go-for-it but the initial pick up the ball failed (rolled “1” with no re-rolls) and the pass did not take place.

Can’t wait for the final!!

p.s. We started the final today. We are starting turn 14 when we get back to my house Tuesday night. It is sudden death!!!

Arundel Archers take to the field for the first time in a long time!! mkl

Hello Blood Bowl fans. The Arundel Archers started their rookie year off with a disappointing 4-1 defeat to the Uzkulak Overlords last Saturday night. The fans came out in droves in the much anticipated debut of the elves. Dinendal Narmolanya, Captain for the elves, said in an interview prior to the game that the team has "trained long and hard and is ready for the first game."

Unfortunately for Arundel the fans at the home stadium of Uzkulak greeted the aspiring elves by invading the pitch on the opening kickoff. Welcome to the league Arundel!

The Overlords scored early in the first period and this was answered quite quickly by a score from Ereinion Luinwe.

During the scoring drive Aerandir Mithrandir blocked Shuruppak Sha Hatti so hard that Shuruppak was taken off the field on a stretcher. He did not move an inch until he arrived in the Overlords locker room. There the team apothecary snapped him out of his mini coma and Shuruppak was able to watch the last bit of the second period.
The second period looked promising for Arundel being level at half but the Bull Centaurs Gilgamesh and Enkidu Sanu started to beat down the lightly armoured elves. Enkidu scored 2 of his scores late in second period to squash any hopes of the elves making a come back.
Stay tuned next week to see how these elves recover from their first week defeat.
