The robust scene of Cascadia that sometimes is Black, others Punk and mostly Crust, offers us quality Metal like the Huldrekall. Five songs with personality and passion, attract my attention at once. A band with a unique signature on the top of the head that writes “pride”. 10/10.

 Οι Ragana είναι χαρακτηριστικό παράδειγμα μπάντας πoυ πειραματίζεται και πετυχαίνει.  Οι εναλλαγές καφρίλας και μελωδικότητας είναι χαοτικές.  Η διμελής παρέα εκεί που σε μαγεύει με ψηλά φωνητικά  και lowtempo ήχους σε φρενάρει με τα ασήκωτα ρίφς και brutal φωνητικα. Συνολικά πολύ καλές με έντονα εσωστρεφή ματιά  , female power !

The Ragana is a typical case of the band keen on experimenting and succeeding. The changesbetween no rule and exceptional melody are chaotic. This 2 person company seduces youwith high and low tempo vocals and guides you to powerful rifs and brutal vocals. As a total,very good having self-centered characteristics, female power!!!

Ξέρω ότι βλέπεις Black Metal R n’R και στραβώνεις. Άραξε! Μπάντες όπως : Venom , Hellhammer, Bathory  τι παίζανε όταν ξεκίνησαν? Εμένα οι Kvlthammer μου θυμίζουν τέτοιες εποχές .Τότε που Black Metal τραγουδιόταν και γίνονταν μεγάλα mosh pits σε μικρούς χώρους. Αλητεία, μπύρα και μακρύ κατσαρό μαλλί. Τα τραγούδια θυμίζουν πολύ Aura Noir στην πιο πανκ εκδοχή τους. Ωστόσο , αν ψάχνεις για κάτι πιο σκοτεινό , δεν θα το βρεις εδώ.

 I know when you face Black Metal R n’ R you‘re not exactly thrilled. Chill out! Band such the Venom, Hellhammer , Bathory used to play in that style. From my point of view the Kvlthammer remind me of the time when Black Metal was played along and big mosh pits were held in small places. Raw style, beer and long curly hair. The songs bring to Aura Noir at the punk version. Anyway , if you’re looking for something darker , maybe you will be disappointed.

Η μπάντα με τους υπέροχους τίτλους και τις ακόμα πιο υπέροχες συνθέσεις, επέστρεψε πιο ώριμη από ποτέ. Το παίξιμο στην κιθάρα που ακούγεται κάθε νότα ξεχωριστά και η κάθε «πενιά» καρφώνεται στα τάστα  με πωρώνει. Όλος ο δίσκος είναι ένα όμορφο στραπατσαρισμένο -απόκοσμο riff που ξεκίνα στην αρχή και στο τέλος του δίσκου και διέπει όλα τα τραγούδια.

This band with its great titles and even better creations is backing more ripe than ever. I get excited by the control of the guitar that makes every single note produced in a unique way. The whole disk is a beautifully   “screwed up” riff that dominates on all songs from the beginning til the end of it.

Οι Unsacred είναι τσαντισμένοι. Όσοι τους  παρακολουθούσαμε τα περασμένα χρονιά  είχαμε ψυλλιαστεί τι θα συνέβαινε.  Και συνέβη. Καταπληκτικό Crust  με θρηνητικό ύφος που πότε γλυκοκοιτάζει το Black Metal και πότε το Hardcore. Στον πυρήνα του όμως βρίσκεται πάντα η αλητεία του Crust που μπορεί να αντέξει τον οποιοδήποτε πόνο.

The Unsacred are really pieced. For those who have been watching them for the past years, knew what would come around. In fact it did happen. Amazing crust, moaning theme that would never approach Black Metal or Hardcore. At it very core, lies this crust that can deal with every pain.

Ασήκωτος δίσκος.  Όταν σμίγεις Black Metal με Doom φιλοσοφία δεν μπορείς να περιμένεις κάτι άλλο όμως. Ντεμπούτο για πολύ κοπάνημα. Οι Αμερικανοί με επτά σπαρακτικές συνθέσεις , στακάτα ριφς  ,ακόμα και με πολύ ωραία beat downs καταφέρνουν να σε κερδίσουν μονομιάς. Έτσι πρέπει να είναι το  Black Metal , ευθύ.

That is a really kickass album. When you combine Black Metal with Doom philosophy you can’t  expect something else. A debut for intense headbanging. The Americans with seven amazing compositions, great riffs and really good beat downs, manage to take you on their side at once, That’s how the Black Metal should be, straight.

O δίσκος αυτός φιγουράρει σε πολλές λίστες ως ένας από τους καλυτέρους Black Metal της χρονιάς. Ενώ πραγματεύεται χαοτικά σύμπαντα και έχει αστρική θεματολογία ,ακούγεται τόσο ρεαλιστικά απειλητικός. Η ατμόσφαιρα του δίσκου είναι αυτή που τον κάνει πιο τραχύ σε αντίθεση με ότι συμφωνικό κυκλοφορεί εκεί έξω. Αστρικά Σπάνιος ο Jacob Buczarski.

This album is one of the best Atmospheric Black Metal of the year, as it being shown in many lists .While it deals with chaotic themes and astral inspiration, it sounds so realistically threatening. The atmosphere of the album is what makes it so rough, in comparison with whatever soft is out there. Jacob Buczarski is amazing rare.

Μακριά από μουσικές φιοριτούρες οι Cara Neir είναι αυτό που θα έπρεπε κάθε Crust / Black metal μουσική που σέβεται τον εαυτό να είναι : Ορμητική. Μην νομίζεις όμως ότι πρόκειται για επαρχιώτες της μουσικής . Αντίθετα, θα παρατηρήσεις πολλές εναλλαγές  σε Ριφς σαν να υπάρχει σύνθεση μέσα στη σύνθεση και γέφυρες ευφάνταστες μεταξύ τους. Away from music flourishes, Cara Neir is the kind of Crust/Black metal music that respects itself, intensivery active. But you should not consider them as amateurs of music. Lost Ages is an album that goes directly in to the point. As for me i fell a gently sneaky touch. I can sense its progressive / post craziness, the Black Metal characteristics and ican value till the last depth the sentimental background of it. It is a really mature music giant. Flawless and almost erotic…

Συνήθως λένε ότι απ το πρώτο τραγούδι του δίσκου καταλαβαίνεις τι θα επακολουθήσει. Ο δίσκος όμως αυτός είναι ένα συμπαγές κομμάτι. Η διάρκεια του μικρή αλλά  η συνοχή , η ωριμότητα και ο πλουραλισμός είναι θεόρατος. Θα παρατηρήσεις ακόμα ότι στους anopheli ότι έχουν δώσει έμφαση στην λυρικότητα της μουσικής  και τους στίχους, το crust εξελίσσεσαι καθημερινά και τούτοι εδώ είναι ένα καλό παράδειγμα.

They usually say that you get thew general idea of an album from the first song. But this album is a solid song. Its duration is rather short, but coherence , maturity and pluralism are amazing. It is noticeable that the Anopheli have emphasized in the feelings of the music and the lyrics. The crust is evolving everyday and these guys over here are a great example.

Το ντεμπούτο των Fathomless είναι η επιτομή της εικονοκλασίας. Από το εξώφυλλο μέχρι το τελευταίο κομμάτι θα καταλάβεις ότι αυτός ο δίσκος κάνει αρνήσεις. Όσο  προοδευτικός και αν ακούγεται θα καταλάβεις ότι στον πυρήνα του είναι κατάμαυρο. Η πολύ καλή αισθητική και η συναισθηματική τους τάση τους κάνει να ξεχωρίζουν από τα άλλα σχήματα που ξεπηδούν ανά καιρούς. Τέλειο.

Υ. Γ :Οι στίχοι του τραγουδιού The Enemy είναι ποίημα του C. Baudelaire.

The debut of the Fathomless can be somehow related to the destruction of religious symbols. From the fron page till the last song you will realize that the album is connected to denial. No matter how progressive it sounds you will comprehend that it is deeply black. Their aesthetics and emotial tense make them unique from the bands tha appear at times. Simply PERFECT.

Αποφάσισα σήμερα  να το γυρίσω σε ένα είδος που δεν ανεβάζουμε συχνά εδώ. Είμαι σίγουρος ότι αυτός ο δίσκος θα δικαιώσει απόλυτα τους Death-άδες που “φλερτάρουν” με  Black Metal αλλά  και τους Black Metal-άδες που πίνουν μπύρες ακούγοντας Death Metal με τα φιλαράκια τους. Θα σας πω ότι, η  τεράστια αξία των A Hill To Die Upon είναι αδιαπραγμάτευτη  και είναι καλύτεροι από όλα τα above metal groups του ακραίου ήχου που άκουσα τον τελευταίο μηνά.

I have decided to deal with a music wave that we tend not to give a lot of attention. I am sure that this album will do credit to the fans of Death that listen to Black Metal and also to the ones of Black Metal that use to drink beers with their buddies. I will tell you that the “A Hill to Die Upon” have a tremendous music value and they are far better than all the above metal groups of extreme sound I listened to the last month.

Φανατιστείτε ένα ήδη γκρίζο πινάκα να του ρίχνει κανείς μαύρες πινελιές ,αυτό είναι οι Essene. Μουντή ατμόσφαιρα που post-ίζει και εκεί που δεν το περιμένεις εκρηκτικά blastbeat και brutal φωνητικά σε «λυσσάνε». Οι μελωδικές γραμμές συνθετικά κολλάνε τέλεια με  την θορυβώδη αγκαλιά του Black Metal .Το αποτέλεσμα είναι ειλικρινές και δυνατό. Παρότι είναι παντελώς άγνωστοι και λίγες πληροφορίες έχουμε γι αυτούς οι δυνατότητες τους είναι υποδειγματικά καλές .Χώσου. 

Just imagine that someone is throwing black touches to an already grey painting, this is Essene. A darkish atmosphere that post-s and when you don't expect it explosive blastbeat and brutal vocals get you furious.The melodic lines synthetically fit perfect with the noisy hug of Black Metal. The outcome is honest and strong.Even though they are completely unknown and we have very little information about them,their potential is exceptionally good.Get there!

Άκουσμα με ενδιαφέρον. Οι φίλοι του Depressive που γουστάρουν δάση, μαυρίλα και άλλα μεγαλεία ονειρικής νυκτός ας κλικάρουν στο download. Θυμίζουν πολύ το πρώτο μου Review στο μπλόγκ που έγραψα για τους Addaura. Φαντάζομαι πως ο Ah Ciliz  όταν θέλει να αποφύγει τους χαζοχαρούμενους Kαλιφορνέζους παίρνει κιθάρα, μολύβι και γραφεί αράζοντας, κάτω από δέντρα-γίγαντες.Είναι γλυκόπικρος ,νοσταλγικός και στους στίχους δεν τα πάει άσχημα. Αν εμπιστεύεσαι το γούστο μου Depressiv-ά ,  δίνω συστατική επιστολή με ευκολία .

Εδώ έχουμε να κάνουμε για μια μπαντάρα από Cascadian-Fuckin’- Culture μεριά. Οι Atriarch χέζουν όλες τις ψευδεπιγραφές που αφορούν Black Metal νόρμες. Παίζουν «ασήκωτο» μαύρο Doom και φτύνουν στα μούτρα κάθε είδους επαρχιώτικο μέταλ. Άκουσε το έχοντας κάνει «κεφάλι» καθώς οι τύποι trip-άρουν .Θυμίζουν πάρα πολύ τους Cough τους Sardonis και κάτι ψιλά από τους Om. Γράφουν ποίηση και ξερνούν φωτιά σε κάθε στίχο (it feeds on our ignorant fearthe parasite plantedits seed inside us alland how do we fight this disease?will love and respect conquer fear?or will a change call for a fight?this is war...).Τα λόγια περιττεύουν σε κάτι τέτοιες περιπτώσεις .Αναμένουμε καινούριο δίσκο.

We have to do with an extraordinary band full with Cascadian-Fuckin’- Culture.

Atriarch don’t follow the usual norms that go with Black Metal. They play rough

black Doom and cut to pieces every kind of provincial Metal. You have to listen to it

while you are high, as these guys really triping on . They 

remind a lot of the Cough, Sardonis and a little bit of the Om. They write poetry and 

throw fire through each lyric (it feeds on our ignorant fear the parasite plant edits seed 

inside us all and how do we fight this disease? will love and respect conquer fear? or 

will a change call for a fight? this is war... ). Words are really poor in such cases. We 

wait for the next album.
