Tae's big 8 party!

Tae wanted a "ROCKIN" 8th bday party. She planned the whole thing all by herself (I am so not a party planner). I let her have full reign and she planned an awesome party. She wanted to do some crafts, make pizza and rather than have a cake, she wanted FONDUE. What an awesome kid! I love it that my kids have opinions when it comes to food. I love that they appreciate good food and don't like the 'norm' foods.

The girls are preparing for the fondue fountain. Tae wanted strawberries, marshmallows, nuts, cake, pretzels, bananas and I dont remember what else. Looks great but there was one problem: on their invitations Tae wrote (she wanted to make homemade invitations): "wear your most rockin' outfit". Yea, I didn't take that into consideration when feeding them fondue. See these pics!

Luckily I am the only mom that is retarded when it comes to laundry. They all said they'd get the chocolate out no problem. I think they were just being nice!
Taeya enlisted the help of Aunt Steph for the letters. Steph helped me do letters for the boys room and she did an awesome job. The girls each did their own. The OCD side of me wanted to help and make sure it was lined up perfect but the mom side won out and reminded me that its their project and that's what counts!
I think they turned out pretty cute. My girls have their attached to their bedroom doors.

"A" is for Aquarium

In June before the Moes' took off for their summer vacation, we hit the Houston Aquarium. Two adults plus 8 kids made for a chaotic trip but we had a blast. The kids love each other and had fun seeing the fish! Explain to me why the girls are paying attention and the boys are off in la-la land!!!

L-R: Jake, Drew, Tae, Kaylee, Aliya and Blakers ... the babies were strapped in their strollers.
This is one of the few pics I have of me and my kiddos. Thx Krysta for taking it. I swear I go on all the adventures with my family, I just don't have pictures of me at them!

Blakey loved the lizards.
The girls were a little bit freaked out to touch the various sea creatures but eventually got over it!
So stinkin' cute!
Aliya eventually loved the sting rays. Took her a bit but then she thought it was pretty cool!
Blake was petrified of this diving outfit. Funny that outfits and statues scare him so much. He was afraid of the Knight suit at the Museum of Natural Science too.
At the aquarium they have this HUGE, gorgeous white tiger. When we got their it was just chillin' for a bit. Then it got up and walked right down to the glass where all the kids were standing. Jake would do something with his head and the tiger would totally bat at Jake's head. This went back and forth a couple times. Thank heavens for heavy glass because poor Jake would have gotten his noggin' batted right off!

All done! They survived and more importantly Krysta and I survived!

As a reward we took the kiddos on a train ride afterwards. Blake was in his glory. Not only did he get to ride on a 'real' train but he got to sit by his favorite buddy, Jake!
