Stunning Snowflakes

Morning LIMettes...  We have another 5 week month in November which means a fabulous Guest Designer (Gillian from Made with Sparkle) and a lucky dip challenge at Less Is More.  This week the challenge is....

I've used the same stamp set for both of my cards today... Stunning Snowflakes from Uniko Studio. Here are the cards...

My first card uses one of the 3 styles of snowflake and I used flitter glue and some distress glitter in rock candy (although you cannot really tell from the photo) for each snowflake.  The sentiment is from the same set and heat embossed in smoky slate embossing powder from Stampin Up.  It's simply finished off with some pearls.

For my second card I decided to use white embossing powder onto pool party card stock.  The sentiment is also from the same set and I was so surprised at the detail the small text picked up it was a delight... I even emailed Bev over at Uniko to say how delighted I was with the clarity. I hate it when the embossing is not crisp. I used another one of the snowflake designs and then finished it off with smooth gems from hero arts.

I'm at Lili Of The Valley today at the Christmas Party so make suer you pop over and say hello if you are there!!

A Little Bit Of Framed Artwork!!

Morning.... So I'm a day late but by the time we got home from the airport last night I was ready for bed... The challenge this week at Less Is More is....
Frame It
Some part of your design should contain a frame of some description, it could be stamped, drawn,  doodled, die-cut or whatever your imagination dictates.

Here is a simple card with inspiration from my trip last week...

I've use Tim Holtz stamps and very basically cut out a square from card and mounted it on top. The sentiment is from a really old sizzix set and twine from the ribbon girl.

My second card uses a cute stamp from The Alley Way Stamps and I masked off a square using post-its.  I then doodled around a frame using a fine liner and filled in bits with a flex marker.  The sentiment is from PI.

Right.. I'm off food shopping but I'll be back later with my Paper Players card and some photos from the trip...

Doodling With WOW ...

So I'm a bit behind on Less Is More this week... Kitchen was delivered yesterday so trying to sort out final prep for boiler coming out tomorrow and plastering to start Tuesday...
So I decided it would be a little rude not to use the WOW powders I won from Less Is More last week and cam up with this little number...

I added the doodling using a quickie glue pen and then added embossing powder to it... works like a treat!!

Vintage Paris

Well it's Saturday morning and this week at Less Is More Diva and Lady LIM surprised everyone by announcing earlier in the week that it would be an "ANYTHING GOES" challenge.... but I missed it until 7:15 this morning... And how could I let them down by not being here early on a Saturday (although I bet Lizy beats me lol)... I've have been up since early doors and have been getting a little inky so I hope this fits the bill for Mandi & Chrissie's challenge of getting a 1000 entries and breaking blogger...

Take 3

Well my life definitely took over this week and this is the first time I've been anywhere near blogger since Monday so I apologise for no commenting or crafting....I think it's going to be like this for a couple of weeks :-(....

Anyhow, it is Saturday and I've managed to sneak in my craft room for a short while as I have some commissions I have to do before I'm off to Doncaster and Lincoln until Tuesday. This weeks Less is More is Take 3... and Lady and Diva LIM have asked us to use 3 of the last challenges in 1.  I've chosen:

1. Week 11 [Apr 16th] Theme Acetate
2. Week 22 [July 2nd] Colour Shades of Blue
3. Week 16 [May 21st] Theme Butterfly/Butterflies
But it covers so many more of them.... Here it is....

I'm not that happy with the sentiment placement and the photo to be honest so I may be back later in the week... if I can manage to leave work at at reasonable time lol....

Card Recipe:
Acetate: Stash
Pearl Blue: Anna Marie Blueprint Paper
Sizzix: Tim Holtz Butterflies
Papers: Pink Petticoat ( and out of my scrap draw too...)
Seam Binding: The Ribbon Girl
Button: Stash

I've now got these orders to do....

Have a great long weekend...

Beach Comber.....

Well I was suppose to be spending yesterday afternoon cleaning etc, but last week at Doncaster I treated myself to a set of Inkylicious Ink Dusters and I was dying to have a go.... When I saw that the challenge at Crafting for All Seasons was Summer I knew this A Day for Daisies image was perfect to add a few clouds to.... It's far from perfect for a first attempt but here it is....

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Crafting For All Seasons: Summer
Paper Play: At the Beach
A Spoon Full Of Sugar: Splish Splash

Card Recipe:

Image: A Day For Daisies - Treasure

Ink: Tim Holtz Distress in Tumbled Glass
Stripe Paper: Pink Petticoat
Red Card: Stash
Seam Binding & Twine: Ribbon Girl
Button: Stash
Glitter: Clear from Stash

Time is a Companion

Seems I am on a roll now with monotone cards and this one was simply an accident using shades of brown.  I followed the sketch from Clean & Simple # 143 and used the Tim Holtz stamps again... I'm loving these... Here it is...

Now the backing card seems lighter on the photo in real life.. I'm not really liking the photo at all.

Since it is monotone I might as well show it at Less Is More ( they may get sick of me this week lol)....

Here is what I used.....
Card Recipe
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Stamps: Stampers Anon Playful Journey
Card: Stash
Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug
Punch: Martha Stewart

Hope you all have a great day...

Black & Pink - Monochrome @ LIM

Happy Saturday LIMettes.... Can't believe it's time for another challenge at Less is More and this week it's monochrome.  So I thought about traditional Black and White... but in the end I thought the pink would be far more dramatic... here it is...

The stamps are Tim Holtz from stamper anonymous and they are stamped with black memento onto a pink card blank that I had previously ruined lol.  This is then cut out with a nestie. I've added yet another butterfly and then I've then used an embossing folder (I'll try and find out the name lol) and then and a little bit of ribbon.  It was a 6 x 6 card blank but due to the embossing folder not being quite wide enough... I had to trim it slightly lol.

I'll be back later in the week and I promise I'll have time for some more commenting this week :-)

Umbrella Man

Morning LIMettes .... Well it's Saturday again and Mandi and Chrissie have another challenge for us this week....  SQUARES - you need to pick one of the squares and stick within it.  Mandi has also let you all know about my Macmillan Appeal so any donations would be very welcome in my
where I first need to make the 100 card in 90 days, but then also sell them.... ALL... Here is my card ( or should I say cards).

The black first card...
And in red....

I really wanted this to be the white on black but the sentiment embossing didn't come out to well so I thought I'd try the black on red.... But I still prefer the Black one.  The stamp is from Stampers Anonymous and is Tim Holtz Purely Random.  I've then used seafoam embossing powder on the black card and black in on the red card.  The sentiment is from the same set.  Hope you like them....
