Emergency Blogging---A matter of life and death!!!

Ok....here goes. I haven't blogged since Halloween---GUILTY! Now everyone can STOP with the threats! I hope you have some time on your hands cause there's a bunch to look at.
We have been ever so busy,(doing what I don't know)....life is just crazy! And as soon as I think it is slowing down (maybe enough to blog or something) it just gets even crazier. I hope ya'll can understand that I haven't forgotten about the blog, it just keeps getting pushed to the end of the "to-do list."
The following is in no paticular order....
Last month Dave and Kerri flew down for a week to visit. We had such a great time showing them around where we live...we went to some fun places, ate great food, drank much coke, and tried to kill each other playing dominos....all in good fun of course.
Just for kicks, here is a special tribute to what is referred to as "the elixar of life" in this family~
Dave - "The pause that refreshes"
Jenn- "Don't bother me, I'm drinking"

Jenn- "Explanation---no neccecito"

Jenn- "Happiness in a can"
alrighty....now that is out of the way! Hahaha...

While they were here we went to the old Fort Worth Stockyards....

And we went to the Dallas World Aquarium...it was 4 floors of all sorts of animals and sea life...very cool.
MR. & MRS. FISHER WITH THE FISHIES...

Getting a picture with this girl is like pulling teeth!

Here is Kloey explaining the croc to her brother.

Here is the sloth that was just hanging around free in the aquarium....pretty sure they weren't too concerned about him "attacking" anyone :)

I love trying to get a family photo....

Did I mention Joey got us lost? He took us through the G-H-E-T-T-O to the wrong aquarium....this is him looking at a map and calling a buddy for directions....hee hee
This kid just doesn't look right without a bruise or two, or three!

This was at the stockyard....grabbing a burger and a coke. YUM.

Funny storry....so Joey sold his truck and for a couple of weeks he drove around a field service van that the home depot reps drive to the all the stores that they service. It is just a big 15-seater van with the seats taken out to allow room for all the tools they carry with them. It is was white and had virtually no windows down the sides....hence it looked like a get-a-way vehicle for a bank robbery or something a creepy guy would drive. Thus I named it the creepy man van, and Dave summed it up as the "CMV." ANYWHOOOO.....the two creepy old men (Joe and Dave) took the CMV for a drive and R-A-N O-U-T O-F G-A-S!!! hAHAHHAHAA! Yes, you read that correctly, they ran out of gas!
and they called me to come save them :)

We enjoyed some great weather while they were here so we took the kids out and we all played 18 holes. Well, some of played...BTW, thanks Kerri, for not playing to your full potential so I didn't look so bad :) Sure "pre-ciate-chya!"

Hey! Lets keep it in the short grass boys!!

This cake is 7 1/2 years overdue.....when we got married, Joey wanted one of the sheet cakes to be carrot cake...he said if he didn't get carrot cake on his wedding day he wouldn't show up! (rude, eh?) Well, he showed, but there was no carrot cake....and so I "owed" him so to speak. Well, I came across this recipe for a carrot cake made holiday style... (made from SCRATCH might I add)...no boxes this time. It was heavenly! Real carrot cake with craisins, pecans, and cream cheese frosting. I was very proud of myself :) Looks good, doesn't it!?

KASH TURNED 2!!!
This was funny, we made him a birthday breakfast and put the candles in his hashbrowns...and instead of blowing them out he extinguished them with his eggs :)

We wasted no time and opened those birthday gifts! Notice Kloey still in her PJs and Kash's hair still not combed!

We managed to see Santa several times this month...these are the pictures from the first time we saw him at the Country Club Toy Drive.

-PICTURES FROM THE HOUSE-
ok, so this is not all of the house, but a few rooms to tie ya'll over for a while ...this is the upstairs media room (although not a true media room because it is not fully enclosed) but the walls are black and the drapes black it out so it gets plenty dark in there. We are far from done in this room...we have to change the fan out and put theater lights on the walls, cover up that ever so nicely placed attic door you see on the left, and of course hang the decor on the walls...but you get the idea.
This is Mr. Man's room....still no decor on the walls, but
it is almost finished.

Kloey's room...this one was my favorite to do! She wanted a pink and purple room, so a pink and purple room she got! (No those are not vinyl dots, I painted them)

And here is the guest room....again, a few more things that need to be hung on the walls (notice the coconut picture from Hawaii?) We hope you will all come and stay with us some time! We have plenty of room and the guest room has it's own bathroom so you don't have to share with the kiddos or their bath toys anymore! LOL!

This is the tree we put up this year....our neighbors thought it was a little funny that we have a real tree, but we just had to get one for our own sanity! We are so used to have real ones, we couldn't bring ourselves to get a fake one....yet. After this year, I just might cave! Just kidding... it's beautiful, it's just under 10ft tall....AND it's from Oregon! Like it was meant to be :) ahhhhh....

Ok, the next picture is just for kicks and giggles....the arrows are pointing out his "bad hair-do," "bruised eye," "bruised chin," "bad-a Rocky shirt," "band-aid," and his sister's "sleeping beauty shoes!" I couldn't help but snap a picture :) He was wearing them on the tile floor and stomping as hard as he could....he sure thought that loud sound was funny....

SNOW IN TEXAS!!! I lie to you not....it snowed for a couple of hours a few weeks ago...it never stuck, but it sure was something to see it falling from the sky :)

Thanksgiving was a little different this year....however, we enjoyed the time we had together and the time we spent enjoying good food and good company with the Thiot Family. Thanks so much for including us in your family celebration!

Ahhhh....well, I have officially been blogging for almost 5 hours...yes, I said 5 hours. By the time I get these HUGE files off my camera, go through them and pick out the ones I am going to blog, size them down and load them on the blog, then go through and write about each of them, it takes a chunk of time. (Not to mention the two cute litte interruptors I have buzzing in my ear for those 5 hours!) LOL! But I hope you all enjoyed it....and I hope now I am caught up for the time being and maybe I don't have to blog til' next year :)

Merry Christmas to all of you! May you enjoy the rest of the holiday :)
Loves, Jenn
