24th of July weekend 2017

I took the boys up to Logan with me to pick Kayli and Addy up from EFY, and then we stayed at Jenn's for the weekend.  We took these 4 to the Logan Temple to do Baptisms for the Dead. It was a great start to our weekend.

 We took all the kids to Mack Park to play in the river, have a picnic and hammock; the water was freezing!

 We went out to the Merrill's to ride horses. This was a first for Kayli, Tyler and Zac. They loved it and the horses behaved perfectly for them! It got dark way to soon and the mosquitos were attacking, so we called it a night, but it was way fun!

 We went to the North Logan parade. It's always a fun parade to watch.

On the way to the parade we realized we forgot candy bags! Luckily I had this giant bag with us, so we just threw all goodies in it, we got sooo much candy and stuff!

The night of the 24th we went to Tim's parents for dinner and fireworks with the Brewers, the Strattons were out of town. We did our annual Fireworks Car Derby, which is the best part.

 

 Usually we are competing for distance, but Tyler just wants the biggest explosion, he won that award for sure!

 

 This is the end result of Tyler's car. After the initial explosion, he continued to find ways to  destroy his car.

EFY 2017 

Utah State University

Kayli and her BFF Addy spent the week at EFY. Kayli loved it! She thought it was awesome and can't wait to go back next year. She had a lot of spiritual experiences and learned so much. She said the teachers were amazing, she made a lot of friends, and was even in tears when I picked them up on the last day, she didn't want it to be over.

Camping at Tanners Flat

July 2017

 We went to Tanners Flat camping a few weekends ago. We got to our spot, and just started to set up and all of a sudden it started to pour rain, we thought it'd stop, but it went on for a few hours. So we went up to Snowbird and got pizza for dinner. It cleared up and we had a great time the rest of the weekend. We went hiking by the river and then went on a hike on these huge rocks, I wish I had pictures of that, the kids loved it. It was nice to get away from the heat and just escape the hustle of life.

Zac's off to Cub Camp

Zac (9) went to his 2nd Cub Camp with his best buddy Josh. Zac had a blast, he learned how to battle dragons (Scouts are always prepared, so I guess they need to learn how to fight off a dragon if they ever come across one), they shot sling shots & bow and arrows.

Cache County Demolition Derby 2017

 We've been wanting to take our boys to a Demolition Derby for a long time, so we went up to Logan for the day, went to dinner at Juniper Take Out and then went to the Demolition Derby with Jenn, Kit, Scout and Grandma Janet. It was a down pour as soon as we got there, but finally let up and turned out to be a great night. They boys loved it!

Fun at Blackridge Reservoir

We have spent several days playing in the water at Blackridge this summer. We just throw the kayaks in the back of Nali, grab a few friends (or Grandma Janet) and a picnic and spend the day at Blackridge playing in the water.
