Second Big Announcement for 2016

Time for the second of three big announcements for 2016 here on the VDA blog.  Yours truly will be the keynote speaker at this year's Disneyana Fan Club banquet on July 15th!  So if you're in the area and coming to the DFC convention, sign up for the banquet and watch me make an ass of myself in front of hundreds of people.  Well, I hope not, but certainly not out of the realm of possibility :-)

Unexpectedly Going to Disneyana Mania this Sunday

Well I didn't think I was, but now I am.  I'll be at the Disneyana Fan Club show and sale this Sunday July 19th.  This year will be a decidedly smaller display, but thanks to the generosity of Erin & Robby I will be there.  Hope to see you too!

DFC Disneyana Expo Preview - Day 6

It says Libby's Libby's Libby's on the label, label, label...I've got 9 posters from the Libby's in-store promotion kit, including a full set of the 8 different character product posters.  You may never see another full set again.  And tonight is the only night I'll be able to have my room open for room hopping, come visit us in room #520 at the Wyndham Anaheim-Garden Grove.  We'll have our room open from 7-11p, so get a jump on Sunday's sale.

This just in:  Rare Disneyland ticket alert!  I've VERY recently come into possession of the rarest of the rare in Alice ephemera:  a stub-style named attraction ticket booth ticket!  Must be because of the newly rehab'd attraction that these came my way.  Don't miss out!

Perhaps the rarest of all Linemar tin toys is this Mad Hatter's Skyview Taxi.  Many Linemar collectors don't even know of its existence!  I'll have a fair example with a reproduction box available on Sunday.  Don't miss it!

One of my all time favorite pieces of ephemera is this - a Sunday supplement from 1951 called This Week, featuring a beautiful full color photograph of Kathy on the cover, and a 2-page article inside.

All this week, while I'm slogging my way cross-country in a cargo van filled with goodies, I'll be posting some highlights of what I'll have in my booth!  Starting with this rarity.  The Regal Mad Hatter Tea Pot.

These come up very rarely and I'm lucky to have this one.  Hake's sold one in 2010 for over $2000.  Come and get it!

Prepping for Disneyana Expo at the Disneyana Fan Club

So its been very quiet here at the VDA blog, and I do apologize for that.  But it has been for a good reason.  This year, in addition to the Dayton Show last month, I will be setting up at the biggest Disneyana show in the country, the Disneyana Fan Club Expo in Garden Grove, just down the street from Disneyland.  The show is on July 20th, come on down!  I've been gathering lots of new things to offer, something for everyone I'm sure.  Stay tuned!

It's Official! We're Going to the Disneyana Fan Club Show and Sale This July!

You heard it here first, we will be making the cross country trek to Anaheim to set up at the Disney show formerly known as the NFFC this July.  It's going to be a helluva trip, 5-6 days of driving for 1 day of selling.  Call your friends, and come on down to the Crowne Plaza on July 20th and buy lots and lots of our stuff.  Please?

And no, this isn't an April Fool's Day post, we really ARE going to the show :-)
