     Helen Douglas was the daughter of Admiral John Erskine Douglas.1 She married Lt.-Gen. Colin Mackenzie, son of Kenneth Francis Mackenzie and Anne Townsend, in 1843.1 She died after 1881.1
     From 1843, her married name became Mackenzie.1

     William Hesketh Lever, 1st Viscount Leverhulme was born on 19 September 1851.1 He was the son of James Lever and Eliza Hesketh.1 He married Elizabeth Ellen Hulme, daughter of Crompton Hulme, on 15 April 1874.1 He died on 7 May 1925 at age 73.1
     He was educated at Bolton Church Institute, Bolton, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He was a grocer between 1867 and 1886.1 He was a soap manufacturer in 1886.1 He was chairman of Lever Brothers.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Wirral between 1906 and 1910.1 He founded Port Sunlight.1 He was created 1st Baronet Lever [U.K.] on 6 July 1911.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Lancashire in 1917.1 He was created 1st Baron Leverhulme, of Bolton-le-Moors, co. Lancaster [U.K.] on 21 June 1917.1 He was awarded the Grand Officer, Order of Leopold II of Belgium.1 He held the office of Mayor of Bolton between 1918 and 1919.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 2nd Volunteer Battalion, Cheshire Regiment.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He was created 1st Viscount Leverhulme, of the Western Isles, cos Inverness and Ross and Cromarty [U.K.] on 27 November 1922.1 He was awarded the Messel Medal of the Society of the Chemical Industry in 1924.1
