Hunter

Hunter Biden's case is in the hands of the jury.

To be honest, I have little idea about this case, though it has to deal with a gun. This is not his laptop trial, I don't think. I really should read the news, but it bums me out.

With all the clamor of Von ShitzinPantz being convicted and the noise of an unjust court, one of the worst things could happen is if Hunter is acquitted.

I know I know. He might be innocent, legitimately. But the Right will never hear that; never believe it. And the noise will be deafening.

If he's found guilty - what the fuck are they gonna say?

I did pull the below off of Mark's blog - and it is one of the more genius things I've seen in a while.

Fucking Brilliant.

The dems will never seize this day, as they are pussies. Still, conceptually, it's perfect.

GUILT

Guess who gets the rare 2nd post of the day post?

That's right:  YOU!

I already had something prepped and scheduled for posting tomorrow.....and this can't take place of pet day. And it can't wait until Sunday.

I started getting texts earlier in the afternoon about a verdict. I was not mentally prepared for one so soon. Not even 10 hours of deliberation.

On the plus side, it was far too quick for a hung jury - which was possibly the worst case scenario. And actually too quick for an acquittal too. I mean, it was doubtful BLOTUS was getting an acquittal on all charges, so to sort through 34 would have taken longer.

Still, I didn't want to presume. Or hope.

All fucking 34 counts:  GUILTY.

VonShitinPantz' reaction was predictable. He only had two words:  disgraceful and rigged.  He said over and over while his Depends was filling up. I'm assuming. He's addled.

His one female lawyer put her head on the table when the verdict was read.  My take?  She just realized she wasn't getting paid.

I feel bad for the judge and jurors. They are targets. As are their families. And collateral damage to whomever works with or near them. Just remember - the FBI, Secret Service or DC police never found who planted two pipe bombs at the Capitol on January 6th.

Palestine might be a safer place for them at this point.

While appeals will be forthcoming, sentencing is scheduled for three days before the GOP National Convention. Or as I'm calling it: the beginning of the end.

Thousands of cult members - armed - and their GOP representatives all in one place. What could possibly go wrong? BTW. GOP members who have already pledged their support since the guilty verdicts.

SHEEP.

I would not want to be a resident, or police officer, in Milwaukee during this time.

Yes, I'm glad he was delivered another guilty verdict brought at the hands of a female. But I won't lie - I'm wringing my hands. Retribution is at hand. It's not going to go well.

But - yay.  Justice!

Falling Apart

It's probably too good to be true, but man oh man, I hope BLOTUS & Sons go down in flames.

I mean, if they could take their feckless cunt of a sister down with them, it would be better, but a judge let her our of the mix a year or so back.

A NY judge, for those reading this years later for historical purposes, cited fraud for the (t)Rump Organization for over inflating value to their assets, mostly real estate - including his self-named tower.

The judge effectively revoked BLOTUS' licenses to operate his NY properties — and potentially an even broader swath of the family business that BLOTUS built over the last half-century. The ruling left much of his New York operation hanging in the balance.

Oh please oh please oh please..............

I would so love to see his buildings be stripped of his name. For all his business failures - and they are many - having his real estate holdings in NY taken from him, would have to sting.

I mean, I'd love to know BLOTUS Jr and Eric got dry fucked in prison, but the start of the fall of their empire is a start.

Scam

The über calculated move by Mark Meadows has me frickin' worried.

He actually testified in a pre-trial hearing two days ago, attempting to convince a judge that, as BLOTUS’ right-hand man at the White House, his various attempts to block his 2020 election loss to Joe Biden were part of his official government duties.

Wait.  What?

I really really really need to see that job description.

The audacity in that statement is one thing, but it's the potential outcome that is the worry.

Meadows could get this trial taken out of Georgia, and out of the state system, and thrown into Federal court.

Beside the obvious delays that would cause the trial, depending on the 2024 election, the "winner" might pardon everything and drop everything for everyone.

It's an unfortunate reality. A very probable one. Not possible. Probable.

The voting public is fucked up. The GOP is double fucked up. None in that pack of losers the other night on CNN (well, I heard, I didn't actually watch that shit show) polls like BLOTUS, or raises money like him. And they are all scared as shit about him. They can't berate him, because they'll lose those votes - which are more than they're ever going to get.

Every single candidate said they'd support him if he was candidate of choice and was charged (or convicted?) of a felony. What fucking pussy-assed men these are.

So, unless something miraculous happens, BLOTUS is going to be the GOP's 2024 pick. And if trials are delayed enough, he could be in office and shut it down.

Meadows was willing to fall on a testimony sword to get this moved to Federal court. I'm hoping the judge ends it with a big fat 'no'.

I'm no fan of Hillary, but she was right to call them "deplorables".

Nail on the head.

the Judge

Honestly, I'm torn about what to write.

Jury duty is clearly the easy route.  The much delayed Artemis launch is good - though I only know it went up in the middle of the morning  I saw a friend's post from her house in Florida of said launch and the images she took.  We could discuss the debacle that is Ticketmaster, Stub Hub and Taylor Swift.  Oddly enough - in that order.  Oh, and today is our 12th wedding anniversary.

There is one thing missing, of which I'm not willing to discuss. At least not at this point. Hopefully not ever. So I'm not saying it here.

Of course, being so vague, future historians will scratch their heads when pouring over this here blog-thing trying to figure out when, how and why civilization collapsed  - as there is no reference. They'll just have to dig out the microfiche and start to cross-reference. They'll figure it out.  Eventually.

I'm going the easy route: jury duty.

O.M.F.G. As an operational "expert",  wanted nothing more than to fix the debacle that is the Cuyahoga County Court System. It's doubtful that other municipalities have that much better or different processes. Prove me wrong.............please.

Maybe the jury duty system isn't. but I'm not sure the judicial system which is supports is doing anyone any favours.

Yesterday, there were a known 15 cases that might need juries.  Might.

There are roughly 400 potential jurors in this room for those trials. Civil trials don't even get 12 jurors, so if you do the math, most people won't be picked even with the weeding out folks during the voir dire process.

It took seven hours before "they" decided there would be one - ONE - of the 15 would need a jury.

I don't know if the others took plea deals, or opted for bench trials. We just sat for seven hours, including a 75 minute lunch.

To be honest, it wasn't even great people-watching time. I thought it would be. I was wrong.

Yes, I COULD have worked remotely there the entire day. but I'm so burned out at work, I opted not to log in, even though I brought my laptop.  I was smart enough to bring a book. An actual physical one.

You've read over the last year that my core group is back to a very unofficial book club. We all read one book at the start of the year. And some of us have participated in other tomes. I think with this new book, we are all reading it or on the docket too.  See what I did there?

It's a 191 page book, so I read it all during jury duty, and oddly not one word during the 75 minute lunch. I went out into the cold and walked. But I did so enjoy the book, Swimming in the Dark.  I'm still processing parts, but overall it was well done.

So today I go back, sans book, and expect more of the same.

Guilt

I should have something about which to write, but I don't. Not really.

This week, I have the potential for jury duty, though we are now two days in without the need for me.

They have needed me on a jury, I mean, I haven't even been called. I call the night before to see if they need me the next day. So far, it's a big fat goose egg.

Honestly, I'm torn. I feel so many times juries get it wrong. So do lawyers and judges. I'm sure if I were there, I could correct injustices and make the world a better place.

But on the other hand.........I don't wanna.

I have been beckoned thrice for this.  Once in 2009, where I was never needed to come down to not get selected for a trial.  The second time was in the height of Covid. They weren't even having trials, yet they were still sending out summons to be a juror.  I got excused for that one too.

You know what they say - third time is a charm.  If that were true, JLow (not a typo) would still be with her third husband.  But Friday, I did not get on the list for Monday. Nor Monday for Tuesday.

That said, they're creeping closer to my number. I fear - yes fear! - I'll be headed to the justice center for Wednesday - Friday.

I don't mind being on a trial. I just don't think a lawyer on either side wants someone even halfway educated. The justice system preys on the uninformed and railroads far far too many people.  So while I don't think I'll be selected, I do think I'll have to sit there for days to not get selected.

And worse, if I do, you just know I'll have to poop in the middle of some great testimony and have to sit there and clench before I finally have to throw up my hands and yell at the judge, "I'm out of order?  YOU'RE out of order! The whole system is out of order", just so I can go pooh.

Dis! Missed!!

Actually, I know a way no one would pick me. I have some covid masks that say "Black Lives Matter".  Most defense attorneys would want me. Zero prosecutors would.

That said, it would be absolutely horrible to wear that mask and co-opt and entire community just for self-gain. So I shan't wear it.  I could put it on after I get seated and watch people crap their pants.

More pooh references.

For Monday, my 'draw' number was nowhere near close to who they requested show up. For Tuesday it was a lot closer.  Perhaps. will be there later this week.

Just to be out of the office for 2-3 days, this seems worth it.  I'll probably get excused when / if they ask if you have family member who are in law enforcement.

If nothing else, it could make for an interesting post or two, no?

Messages

I hate the idea of hope.  It always - and I do mean always - leaves me deflated.

Since 2015, I have yet to see anyone associated with BLOTUS get their comeuppance.

One might argue Michael Cohen. The rest pretty much got off scot free, even after conviction - some to appeals court, most to "presidential" pardons.

Before those last two things, I had hope, Hope that the Roget Stones, Michael Flynns et al would do their fucking time. But they had to be given pardons to shut them up.

Should the texts that have allegedly come to light be legitimate, it would be hard(er) to deny that the previous administration had a hand - and a planning one, at that - in the January 6th insurrection.

I have no love lost for Chris Como, but he lost his job at CNN for 'helping' his brother through his sexual harassment. Oh - and that potential sexual harassment thing of his own. But you know - as reprehensible as that might all be, he didn't seemingly have access to the president's chief-of-staff and exchange messages about a coup.    ...........and so far, they're keeping their jobs.

Of course, the rub there is:  the Fox asshats begged for the insurrection to stop, yet - and no surprisingly - hypocritical in their broadcasts. This is the same network that speaks against Covid vaccinations, yet are all, or mostly, vaccinated.

They're all weasels, but it is BLOTUS Jr, I "love" the most.  He is WITH his father and texting his father's chief-of-staff to stop daddy!

He is SUCH a pussy, he can't (won't and didn't) say it to his father who is like two yards from him. Yet, don't assume that he's allowed to talk to his father directly in the first place. g-d, it must suck that dad like Eric better.

Let's just pile on though:  if BLOTUS thought Jr was weak before - - now he knows it for sure and just provided a massive embarrassment to the family.  Xmas is RUINED.  Or at least awkward.  ....and that's without Melanoma's decorations.

Yet, the House and DOJ are so. fucking. weak. nothing - and I repeat, NOTHING - is going to come of this.

Where once was hope - is now just disappointment.............in advance.

Rough Justice

I won't lie - this is a photo array I've been waiting to see.....and make.

I got a text from CB, who lives in Minneapolis - home of the George Floyd murder - who told me the verdict was in.  Luckily, it was a crapfest work day, and close to the end of it, at that, so I couldn't fret too much that the jury wouldn't "do the right thing".  And I didn't hear when the verdict would be read. So I went about my day.

Morty is the one who texted me / us:

I am not excusing Chauvin for what he did - not just to Floyd, but to a nation. I have several thoughts on that last statement:

For not excusing him: at some point this bullshit of police literally getting away with every murder of every black person they've killed was going to have to come to an end at some point. One cop was not just not going to get away with it - they were also going to get it for every other cop who did.

This happened to be Chauvin.

Hopefully he was convicted on his own (de)merits and not those of the dozens of other cops who've killed hundreds of other black people who MIGHT have been guilty of nothing. I mean, he did kneel on a man's neck for 9+  minutes......on video. He easily got convicted on his own actions.

But it's important to remember, cops are not judge and jury - just executioner it seems.  Their job isn't to kill people being arrested. It's not. They're not even supposed to kill people guilty of crimes.

As for the nation comment:  It was a horrible, and yet enlightening, few months in 2020 - the murder and the protests.

It truly truly truly lets us expose this country's racism. I mean, it was somewhat well cloaked before BLOTUS, but the blinder came off when he took office.  But the degree to which it surfaced - meaning, it was always there - was just astounding.

No one wants to pick up the rock to see what's under it, but in a way, thank g-d someone did. It's ugly and needs to be dealt with. How is another question - to which I have no answer.

So, Derek Chauvin is going to prison. Possibly up to 40 years.  I'd be surprised if he makes it 40 days* before someone kneels on his neck for 9+ minutes.

*doubtful he'll be in the general population anytime soon, if ever, but...........tick tick tick.........

Real Bad Day

What can one say about another mass shooting by another white domestic terrorist disturbed young man?

Well, if you're the Atlanta police chief, you just say the poor wittle boy was just having a "really bad day".

What. The. Actual. Fuck.

If the suspect weren't white (shhhh......read: black!), he wouldn't even be arrested. He'd be dead.

Also, you'd charge the shooting as a hate crime, not a sex one.

There are special rules for white folk when it comes to "justice".  Ask RAPIST Brock Turner (oh yes, I'm saying his name, and linking his legal wiki, so every employer or potential date he ever has that Gooooogles him his sordid past shows up).

I won't lie - I didn't the anti-Asian theory seriously at first. My initial thought was anti-female. I guess it doesn't have to be one or the other. And the last year has been very anti-Asian. Why don't you ask the same fucking Atlanta police chief...............

It is no wonder he'd not going to go hard on a white, Asian-hating, woman-hating killer. At this point, I'm guessing the police chief is feeling down in the dumps because he didn't get to pull the trigger himself. On the women, that is - not the killer himself.

I would love to say I hope the prosecutor is better at his job, but A. it's Georgia, so........ and B. history does not support actual (let alone, equal) justice for white males.

Perhaps this the case that will turn the tide, but I don't see that happening - see A and B above.

Rough Justice

This place - the U.S. - just makes me sick to my stomach.

It's official official. There is no longer three branches of government. Justice clearly has its tongue up Executive's shitter. Deeply. Firmly. And moving it around until Executive says otherwise.

Just the audacity that a fucking tweet by BLOTUS has the DOJ bending over backwards and reversing (read: lowering) sentencing guidelines for BLOTUS cocksucker, Roger Stone. Instead of nine years in prison - where I was hoping he'd "pull an Epstein" - he's looking at 18 month, tops.

Sure, that's more than Lohan time or Huffman time, but barely.

I honestly, have been upset about this all fucking day. With acquittal out of the way - if you think he BLOTUS didn't give a fuck before, just watch.

He's already fucked everyone with the budget. Medicare ! Medicaid ! Social Security ??  All the things he allegedly said he wouldn't do in last weeks State of the Union.  (I have nothing to confirm that, since I didn't watch it or read about it.)

And for the auto plant that shut down here, where he told everyone NOT to move, he'd be getting jobs back?  Well he didn't get them back, but someone else did.......to build electric cars, and BLOTUS just killed the tax credit that would reopen the plant.

He is a Piece Of Shit.

When I say I'm 'sick to my stomach',  after reading the DOJ shit, my stomach has been in knots. It is so upsetting - and seemingly, there is nothing anyone can do.

I mean, four federal prosecutors walked off the job after the DOJ announcement. Good for them. And fuck Bill Barr. I mean - really. FUCK HIM.  Dry. Hard. Multiple times until he bleeds out. Yes, THAT is how pissed I am.

What I don't know, and can only hope for, is if the judge has to take the DOJ's new recommendations. If not, can't he/she lock him up for the full nine years?    ........though Stone will have a full pardon before the end of the year.

My stomach still hurts.
