Call for Editor or Co-Editors – The Emily Dickinson Journal. The Emily Dickinson Journal (EDJ) showcases the poet at the center of current critical practices and perspectives. Published twice annually and sponsored by the Emily Dickinson International Society (EDIS), EDJ features writing by talented young scholars as well as work by those established in the field. No other journal provides this quality or quantity of scholarship on Dickinson.

Our recent  in-person and online International Conference on Dickinson and Ecologies, held in Taipei, Taiwan, June 19–22, was made possible through the efforts of the Wenshan Organizing Committee, the EDIS Organizing Committee, the Conference Advisory Committee, the Postgraduate Student Committee, and especially Board member Li-hsin Hsu's and her organizing teams. We also remembered Sandra Gilbert, Asahina Midori, and Jim Fraser, and awarded Cristanne Miller the Distinguished Service Award.

As a founding member and former EDIS President, Dr. Cristanne Miller has been a leader and mentor within EDIS for many years. Her organization of key conferences, her co-founding of the Dickinson Critical Institute to support emerging scholars, and her consistent advocacy for an inclusive, international Society are several of her many outstanding achievements. Dr. Miller’s influential scholarly critical works underscore the profound impact of her scholarship on the field. In light of her outstanding and sustained service to EDIS, the Awards Committee is pleased to honor Dr. Cristanne Miller.

Congratulations to the winner of this year’s EDIS Graduate Student Fellowship Award! Beverley Catlett Bolen is a PhD candidate at UNC Chapel Hill, where she specializes in 19th-century American literature and the environmental humanities. Her dissertation, “Water in the Theological History of Science: Emerson, Dickinson, and Whitman,” explores literary, scientific, and theological discourses of planetary water arising at the intersections of geology, evolutionary biology, and Protestant Biblical literalism.
