An Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) is a dedicated body within an organization tasked with handling complaints related to sexual harassment and discrimination in the workplace. Comprising members from various departments and levels of the organization, the ICC ensures fair and impartial investigation of complaints, maintaining confidentiality throughout the process. Mandated by laws and regulations, such as the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, ICCs aim to create a safe and inclusive work environment by providing support to complainants, educating employees on prevention, and recommending appropriate actions to address instances of harassment or discrimination. Through their efforts, ICCs play a crucial role in fostering a culture of respect, equality, and accountability within organizations. The principal and the management are presented in the recommendations of the committee and further requested with the Redressal of the same for action.
