#MSS2011 Enjoy First, Blog Later

It wasn't compulsory to blog on the go. So, not everyone brought a laptop during this trip lest a few bloggers. The schedule of the trip is a bit HARDCORE. Not suitable for the faint heart or prone to other sickness. A blogger did withdrew from the contest after given the option to go on.

So far, before I fully blog about the events that we did today...

• cycling tour
• low-tide tour
• Kampungku show by Golden Palm Tree Resort

And tonight will be our SECOND night at this prestigious 5-star resort. And frankly speaking, I'm quite terrified of what we'll be doing tomorrow.

My feet are sore, knees are aching and my skin on feet, hands and face got blotches of redness from the sun. But hell ya!!! I had loads of fun!

Till I reach home and blog with pictures. Have to be content with this for a moment. =)

#MSS2011 - Gearing up for Day 1 at Holiday Inn KL Glenmarie

I'm gearing up. Packing up my clothes from early this morning. I thought I couldn't sleep last night but I slept like a log! Hehehe.

Thinking of buying sunblock with SPF50. I got skin prone to sunburns and ugly redness. Huhu.

All I'm certain of is bringing lots and lots of sunblock as I've heard there'll be a lot of OUTDOOR activities.

Old shoes bought sometime in 2010. NEVER WORN! 

Yay! Need to pack some running shoes. Swimming wear? Ermm... *taking out black pants and shirts. Ahh. that will do. Maybe I'll take a swim or two in the hotel's swimming pool? Will determine later.

Two bags are enough for me. =)

Packed and gear up and will be making my way to Holiday Inn KL Glenmarie.... From that point on I'll have NO INTERNET ACCESS whatsoever and will completely depend on the good graces of the organizers and hotels for the next FIVE days.

Ohhhhhh I do hope I can get online there. Oh please dear god.

Hours before #MSS2011 and I'm getting butterflies in my stomach

I'm at a disadvantage in terms of technology items. Only yesterday i tried tweeting with my mobile phone via SMS but failed miserably. I'm not sure how I can twitter on the go. Was contemplating on buying a new mobile phone but I didn't have the heart to intrude my savings any more. Alas Raya holidays has just passed and I can't afford another luxurious item at any cost. Even if it means losing my chance to win My Selangor Contest 2011.

Hopefully, I'll get through the whole five days and four nights. I still have my hefty camera to do some good. Hope to post really good entries as I really do want to appreciate the organizers for choosing me and organizing such a lovely program.

Tonight I'll start packing... but before that I must finish my work at the office first so that I can be at peace during the whole MSS2011 experience.

Lastly, my condolences to my office-mate who lost her eldest son early Sunday morning. Having to lost a husband just years before makes me fear for her future now that her sole pride has left her too. *my heart wepts for her, only GOD knows. =(

#MSS2011 tinggal dua hari lagi!

Aku yakin pihak penganjur sedang sibuk melayan kerenah pelbagai peserta dari pelbagai negara. Harap semuanya berjalan dengan lancar. This is a really, big project! A big around of applause for Ms Amelia Tan, though the answers to my inquiries were brief but it was FAST.

Syukur cuti aku lulus.

Cuma ada beberapa masalah kot.

Aku tidak memiliki laptop untuk memudahkan aku update blog sepanjang pertandingan MSS2011 itu. Not to worry I'll find a way.

Ada sesiapa sudi pinjamkan atau sewakan laptop kepada aku tak? I'll pay handsomely. *wink *wink

Sakit Gigi

Ingatkan hari ini setelah menemui doktor gigi untuk proses ketatkan gigi, bolehlah aku ke masjid untuk membantu urusan majlis hari raya aidil fitri dan jugak jadi petugas untuk ceramah kuliah magrib Ustaz Azhar.

But alas, the pain deemed to great to hold.

Aku bertindak untuk duduk diam di rumah sementara menahan kesakitan dari braces gigi yang baru diketatkan. Sudah seharian aku tidak berani untuk mengambil sebarang makanan yang melibatkan mengunyah. Aku cuma minum susu dutch lady je. Itu pun dah cukup mengenyangkan sampai malam. Huhuhu.

Aku jadi tak lalu nak makan. Nak pandang makanan apatah lagi.

Kekawan aku dari masjid menelefon bertanyakan khabar dan sebab kenapa tak muncul-muncul. Kehadiran aku dirindui kot. hehe.. tapi apakan daya... aku tak tahan lak.. menengok mereka semua boleh makan sementara aku takleh nak makan. Tinggal di rumah sajalah..... ampun wahai sahabat-sahabatku seperjuangan ku.

Pasti ceramah Ustaz Azhar mengemparkan malam ini... moga program itu berjalan lancar. Amin.

#MSS2011 Senarai hotel sudah keluar untuk My Selangor Story 2011!

Senarai hotel yang bakal peserta My Selangor Story 2011 pergi telahpun diumumkan oleh pihak penganjur di laman facebook mereka. Aku tiba-tiba menjadi begitu teruja sekali. Tak sabaqnya nak cuti minggu depan!

Pewittttttttttt.... seb baik ada internet access. hehehe.... Aku pernah tidur sini selama dua malam semasa mengikuti satu kursus kementerian. Memang besh la. Dah ler masa tuh aku dok seorang je. Katil besar untuk aku je masa tu. Haaaaaaaaaaaa... heaven! Makanan pula ala-ala buffet je memanjang.
Trip Advisor berikannya 4 bintang.

Aku tak pernah tidur sini. Kali terakhir pergi genting dalam dua tahun lepas kot. Hehehe...

Hotel LIMA Bintang yang berlatar belakangkan  lautan dan matahari. Uwaaaaaa... aku dah lama dengar pasal tempat ini dari rakan-rakan pejabat tapi tak pernah menjejakkan kaki kat sana. Thanks to MSS2011, aku kini ada peluang! Ya!

Apa agaknya pihak penganjur sedang merancang untuk kami 30 orang ekkk???

Teruja tahap dewa dah neh. Hak hak hak.

Mencari kadar sewaan terendah untuk Toyota Avanza atau Perodua Alza

Keluarga aku akan ke Kuala Lumpur pada bulan Disember ini dan banyak perancangan yang perlu dibuat untuk menyambut kedatangan mereka. Tiket penerbangan sudah selamat ditempah tinggal nak tempah hotel dan kereta sewa je lagi. Dalam perancangan ayah, mereka hendak ke Kelantan jugak untuk melawat adik aku yang sedang belajar medik.

Syukur adanya internet aku berjaya survey harga sewaan kedua-dua jenis MPV ini. Harga di bawah hanya berkuatkuasa sekiranya aku nak sewa lebih dari tiga hari. Kalau setakat sehari ja, harganya jauh lagi mahal.

• Toyota Avanza - RM155 sehari

• Perodua Alza - RM180 sehari 

Tanpa mengetahui keadaan MPV itu sendiri samada baru, berkeadaan baik dan sebagainya... yang penting boleh memuatkan penumpang seramai 7 orang. Itu sudah cukup baik untuk aku dan keluarga.

Amacam? Harga ok tak?

Korang ada cadangan lain tak?

• The Organizer will arrange for the entire tour itinerary, including return flights, meals and lodging. Miscellaneous expenses will be borne by individual participants.
• The 30 selected bloggers will be flown to Selangor for a 5 day/4 night tour in Selangor from 28 September – 02 October 2011.
• During this period, participants are required to produce a video (up to 3 minutes) of each day’s activities and upload it every evening together with a travelogue of the activities on to the Tourism Selangor website with a link to YouTube.
• The videos/stories must be produced based on the requirements of The Organizer and be saved as an audio-visual file, with the copyright co-owned by Tourism Selangor, The Organizer, Sponsors/Partners and entrants.

Why I want to be a part of My Selangor Story 2011?

First thing first before I go on into specifics is that I pretty much meet all the criteria in being part of My Selangor Story 2011. I daresay. But up to you to judge.

• I'm a blogger who resides in Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur to be exact. But a trueborn hailed from Sabah. Yay! Aramaiti!!! 
• A blogger who can demonstrate still photo, audio‐visual-editing skills. Err.. does using Photoscape counts? Hope so because pictures are at best in their true, original form without much editing. 
• Also a blogger who runs an active personal blog since 2007! Now that's a long time, don't you think?
• And to top that, I want to challenge my physical strength & endurance, take pictures/videos, write and travel. And this golden opportunity can only be gained by being part of My Selangor Story 2011. Oh pick me please!
• Last but not least, I'm above 18 years with valid travel documents. Send me anywhere and I'll thrive! =)

Now, going to specifics.... why me? Why must you vote me?

I'm a boring young woman who has seen much of the world except her own backyard. (Ok, pity me please!) But yes! Help me explore more of what my country has to offer since the trips I made to...
