Red Sonja #3 covers

I recently started working with Dynamite Entertainment on some covers. Here is Red Sonja for issue #3, available for pre-order right now wherever you buy comics!

Folks like their variants nowadays, so I had some fun coming up with the different versions. In addition to the three versions below, there is a "virgin" version with no trade dress and a premium metal version which I am curious to see myself. More soon!

HARLEY & IVY #3 revised cover

Looking over the blog, I realized I may not have posted this little revision to the HARLEY & IVY joining covers I did a while back. Ivy got a little more foliage for cover and some brown.

It sure is nice to see the stark contrast of a proper drawing to so much of the heavily-rendered stuff I've been posting, especially that last Glamour Shots Ivy.

MARY MARVEL #1 cover

For the upcoming new MARY MARVEL series.

Mary Marvel's eyes are blue, but they changed to brown in recent years, perhaps arbitrarily by a lazy colorist. In fairness, eye color can be tough to discern in the (wonderful) art of vintage comics, but just a little investigation on my part turned up irrefutable blue-eyed evidence (below), which, as a purist, I proudly submitted when I argued the case with editorial.

No doubt impressed with my dedication to eye-color integrity, my editor promptly asked me to change her eyes to brown. My apologies to the legions of Mary Marvel purists out there. I feel your pain.

The brown looks okay, too, but I liked how the blue of her eyes tied into the sky, so here's my original, true blue version.

WONDER WOMAN #774

I just noticed I haven't posted any new art here in just over a year! If anybody is still out there, I will try to bring this site up to date with my cover art.

Here's Wonder Woman #774, the last cover of my run, also completed a year ago on 5/2/21, as it happens:
