KBShimmer Summer 2014 Textured Shades
Tuesday, May 20, 2014
Good morning!
I'm excited to show you three new KBShimmer Summer 2014 shades that will be available for sale starting this Friday. The summer polishes include beautiful holos, stunning bright cremes but perhaps most exciting - textured jelly glitters.
Yep. You heard that right.
These three shades are really packed with small glitter in a jelly base. They're so dense that they offer complete coverage in two coats. I've swatched each color with and without topcoat.
Partners in Lime. Two coats. This one dries the most textured and the most matte out of all the shades. A neon green full of holographic and satin hexes in various green, gold and blue shades.
She Twerks Out. Two coats. A bright teal jelly with satin and holo green, blue and lavender hexes.
Too Pop To Handle. Two coats. A plum jelly filled with purple, fuchsia and blue hex pieces.
To smooth these colors out completely, I used two generous coats of topcoat and wrapped the tips extra carefully against shrinkage since I was using so much product.
Take a look at how cool that looks with topcoat. So, so sparkly.
A few people have asked me on Instagram if clean up was a chore (it can be, tape up your cuticles if you want clean up to be easy) or if was a hassle to remove (not harder than any other glitter manicure, I used the foil method). I really liked how dense the glitters were, as well as the small size of the piece. It made it easy to just wear two coats. Partners in Lime were the most textured, I wish the other two shades were a bit more gritty, they look more like super topcoat hungry glitters.
You should definitely be following KBShimmer on Facebook for the latest updates and to know exactly when on Friday these new shades will be released. KBShimmer bath, body and nail products are available to purchase here.
